- Keywords:graduate tracer study; higher education; labour market integration; competencies; Moldova
- Summary/Abstract:This article analyses the professional integration of higher education graduates in the Republic of Moldova, drawing on the results of the first national Graduate Tracer Study conducted for the 2020 cohort. The study reveals a generally positive assessment of teaching quality and institutional support, but also highlights persistent weaknesses in practical and language skills development, as well as in career guidance services. Transition to employment is relatively rapid for most graduates, though significant differences emerge across fields of study, universities, gender, and place of residence. Institutional disparities reflect variations in curriculum structure and labour market linkages. These findings point to the need for more structured cooperation between universities and employers in Moldova, including aligning curricula with sectoral labour market needs, expanding practical training components within study programmes, and enhancing targeted career guidance and placement mechanisms to support graduates’ early labour market integration.

- Keywords:nonce word; normativity; reproducibility; motivation; meaning; lexical level; expressiveness
- Summary/Abstract:This article analyzes the dynamics of the emergence and evolution of nonce words in contemporary Romanian, highlighting some of the particularities of these lexical innovations. It emphasizes that the lexicon is constantly changing, driven by social, political, economic, cultural, and othe changes, which generates the need for new lexical forms to name newly emerging realities. Although nonce words, as products of individual imagination, are initially created to express particular situations, some of them can be taken up and transmitted by imitation, becoming part of the linguistic heritage of the community. At the same time, their destiny is variable: some become part of the stable vocabulary, others remain in sporadic use, and most disappear after only one use. The study also explains some of the factors that determine the acceptance and viability of nonce words, such as the prestige of the creator, the necessity of the term, etc.

The research focuses on the methods of constructing portraits, both individual and group portraits. Through a linguistic analysis of the selected corpus, the textual sequences that contribute to characterization are identified and classified. A special emphasis is placed on the study of the pastiche portrait, examining specific procedures such as the use of archaic language, the mythologizing of the character, and the integration of stylistic features from legends. Ultimately, the paper highlights how these techniques, along with the frequent use of parallelism and functional predicates, create a distinct dynamism and musicality to the text.

Literary texts enri vocabulary, facilitate the perception of Francophone culture develop linguisti and analytical skills and motivate students. Reading a literary text is not the same as reading a newspaper text, and literary reading requires specific skills and strategies that are not always transferable from the mother tongue to a foreign language. Literary texts offer students the place, time and opportunity to get involved in another language/culture of and to reshape their own identity, through interactions around this text. Being one of the foundations of teaching/learning foreign languages, the number of literary texts are limited in current French textbooks, a fact that needs to be revised.

- Subject(s):Social Sciences, Language and Literature Studies, Literary Texts
- Page Range:62-67
- No. of Pages:6
- Keywords:text linguistics; meaning; textualism; spanish literature; gastronomy
- Summary/Abstract:This study proposes an interdisciplinary analysis of the concept of meaning in linguistics and literary studies, tracing its evolution from the classical theories of Plato and Aristotle to the seminal contributions of Eugen Coşeriu, Umberto Eco, and Jean-Michel Adam. The research highlights the central role of the relationship between sign, signified, and meaning, positioning text linguistics at the core of the interpretative process. In parallel, the paper examines the development of textualism and metanarrative strategies in Spanish literature of the transition period (1970-1980), a context in which fiction and reality intertwine through self-reflexive and experimental narrative techniques. A distinct section is devoted to the relationship between literature and gastronomy, where food emerges as a narrative, symbolic, and identity-bearing element. Literary examples, ranging from Don Quijote de la Mancha to contemporary works, illustrate how gastronomy contributes to the construction of cultural identity and to the aesthetic configuration of literary texts. The study thus reveals the interconnections between language, meaning, literature, and cultural experience, offering an integrated perspective on the relationship between text and reality.

- Summary/Abstract:The state and trends of higher education in the context of the challenges of the 21st century are analyzed. Attention is drawn to the advantages and problems of higher education in the EU countries; the place of Ukrainian universities in these processes. The significance and role of the “Strategy for the Development of Higher Education in Ukraine for 2021-2031” is stated from the point of view of reorienting the state's universities to the needs of the labor market in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The need for management change in both the activities of higher educational institutions of Ukraine and the support of training in the field of "Management" is identified. The role and place of leadership as an important component of higher education management is substantiated. Using the example of analyzing the scientific staff of management departments of three randomly selected universities in Ukraine: the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (Kyiv), the Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine", Chernivtsi National University, Yuriy Fedkovych, justified the partial inconsistency of the professional training of scientists to ensure high-quality training of managers for the labor market of Ukraine. It is proposed to update the effectiveness of leadership theories, which is possible to the greatest extent among postgraduate teachers - the young generation of scientists of the state who research scientific phenomena in modern conditions and with new approaches, which is traditional for EU countries.

- Keywords:plot structure; conflict; exposition; climax; resolution; norms of folk morality; peasant traditions
- Summary/Abstract:This article offers a critical analysis of The Kaidash Family, a novella by the Ukrainian literary classic Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky. It challenges the conventional interpretation of the central conflict as merely socio-domestic. A structural analysis of the plot is conducted as a trajectory of a moral-domestic conflict. The narrative is dissected into a three-phase structure -exposition, climax, and resolution – repeated across distinct episodes. By examining the conflict through the lens of folk morality, the innovative study uncovers the novella’s deeper symbolic layers, particularly the symbolism of its ending, and elucidates the author’s insight into the moral causes behind the disintegration of the Kaidash family.

- Summary/Abstract:The article presents an analysis of adjectives recorded in the folklore works of Ukrainians in northern Moldova, taking into account their variability, origin, and correlation with the processes of the Ukrainian literary language. It has been noted that adjectives are most preserved in the calendar works of the winter cycle. In the texts presented, adjectives serve as powerful means of creating folk poetic imagery and also exhibit significant variability, particularly phonetic. Using the example of the variability of the adjective щедрий (generous), various processes that took place at different points in time are traced. The functioning of archaic forms of the adjective щедрий in Ukrainian dialects of Moldova once again testifies to their main specificity – the preservation in so-called conservation of relict forms that have already been lost in the territory of the metropolis

- Page Range:126-131
- No. of Pages:6
- Keywords:time; word formation; compounding; analytic structure; temporal concepts
- Summary/Abstract:The category of time represents a central organizing principle of human experience in both German and Romanian, yet their linguistic modeling differs significantly. German exhibits a high degree of morphological productivity, forming compact compounds such as “Steinzeit”, “Arbeitszeit”, or “Zeitplan”, while Romanian relies on analytic and periphrastic structures like “epoca de piatră” or “managementul timpului”. The contrast reveals two complementary strategies: German condenses meaning through morphological economy, whereas Romanian expresses temporal concepts through syntactic transparency. These structural and cultural differences illustrate distinct ways of conceptualizing time in language and highlight the interplay between morphology, syntax, and cultural cognition.

- Summary/Abstract:Assessment plays a very important role both in our daily lives and in the educational process, as it allows us to identify our weaknesses and subsequently correct them. For this reason, I have chosen to address this topic in order to provide a synthesis of the particularities of assessment–a key component of the complex teaching-learning-assessment process within the context of applying the case study method and using the portfolio method as alternative forms of assessment in the instructional process. The didactic experiment conducted offers us the opportunity to observe indicators of progress, challenges, as well as potential solutions derived from the assessment process, highlighting the contrasting perspectives of the teacher and the student. Assessment, alongside teaching and learning, represents an essential component of the educational process, as it provides information about its quality and functionality. The concept of assessment has evolved over time. Initially, assessment was equated with measurement; later, objective-based pedagogy defined assessment as the process of determining the alignment between students’ academic results and predefined operational objectives. Today, assessment involves making value judgments regarding both the process and the product of student learning. Since there is no perfect method of assessment, I propose combining various approaches to provide a more accurate picture of students’ knowledge and competencies.
