Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to examine the relationship between tradition and modernity in Romanian education. We start from the tradition of education in Romanian by Nicolae Iorga. We point out a theoretical model: C.-L. Strauss vs V. Propp and G. C. Bostan. We ensure the transition to modernity with some considerations on L. Zbanț.
