Summary/Abstract: In the context of increasing pressures of digitalization, globalization and social responsibility, educational systems are called upon to reinvent themselves. This paper provides a critical synthesis of the need for managerial innovation, outlines a strategic vision and describes sets of concrete actions capable of accelerating transformation in pre-university and university education. The analysis combines recent theoretical perspectives – distributed leadership, transformational leadership and complexity theory – with case studies from the Republic of Moldova and the European space, highlighting the role of organizational culture, trust and inter-institutional collaboration in driving educational innovation.
