Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the professional integration of higher education graduates in the Republic of Moldova, drawing on the results of the first national Graduate Tracer Study conducted for the 2020 cohort. The study reveals a generally positive assessment of teaching quality and institutional support, but also highlights persistent weaknesses in practical and language skills development, as well as in career guidance services. Transition to employment is relatively rapid for most graduates, though significant differences emerge across fields of study, universities, gender, and place of residence. Institutional disparities reflect variations in curriculum structure and labour market linkages. These findings point to the need for more structured cooperation between universities and employers in Moldova, including aligning curricula with sectoral labour market needs, expanding practical training components within study programmes, and enhancing targeted career guidance and placement mechanisms to support graduates’ early labour market integration.
