Summary/Abstract: The hikikomori phenomenon, characterized by prolonged and voluntary withdrawal from social and educational life, is a complex and multidimensional issue. In the digitalized academic environment, information technologies can act both as risk factors and as tools for prevention and reintegration. This article analyzes the impact of IT on hikikomori, with a focus on the context of the Republic of Moldova, offering insights into hybrid education strategies, the development of student resilience, and the role of educators in prevention.
