- Summary/Abstract:This paper explores the impact of innovative teaching methods on the cognitive development of early school-age students. With the rapid changes in the world and the advancement of technology, traditional teaching methods are becoming increasingly inadequate. Theoretical frameworks, including Piaget’s stages of cognitive development and Vygotsky’s concept of the zone of proximal development, support the need for innovative approaches that actively engage students. Innovative methods, such as project-based learning, educational technology, and game-based learning, significantly improve students’ critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills. A case study from a primary school in Romania illustrates the positive effects of project-based learning on students’ engagement and cognitive skills. However, challenges such as the need for teacher training and adaptation to new learning styles need to be addressed. In general, innovative teaching methods have great potential to improve the cognitive skills of young students, but their successful implementation requires careful planning, support for teachers, and ongoing research.

- Summary/Abstract:The changes of modern pedagogy brought with them different visions regarding the perspective on the teaching - learning - evaluation process, in which the concept of effectiveness gained new valences. For this reason, we debated in the paper the empathy and the efficacy of transdissiplinarity in artistic education, in order to materialize in practice their theoretical aspects. The teacher who wants to achieve effective teaching must know the learning styles of the students, capture the link between them and the content to be taught, so that they discover those methods and strategies that not only follow the content but also the quality of learning that comes from the way they teach. Their valorization in artistic education only highlights the syncretism of the arts.

- Summary/Abstract:Music and painting share similar perceptual foundations: in painting, we find elements such as line, light/shadow, composition, tonal value, and texture; in music, these are mirrored by melody, dynamics, form, pitch, and texture. The concept of musical ekphrasis refers to compositions that draw inspiration from visual artworks, interpreting their content through sound: the two distinct semiotic systems operate in comparable ways evoking similar emotions in the audience. The study focuses on Liszt's Sposalizio, inspired by Raphael's The Marriage of the Virgin, demonstrating how parallels in style and compositional approach across different media create corresponding atmospheres.

- Author(s):Marina Morari
- Language:Romanian

- Page Range:53-63
- No. of Pages:11
- Keywords:music listening, listening culture; early musical education; inner hearing; mental singing; elements of listening culture
- Summary/Abstract:The article analyzes the process of developing the culture of music listening as a fundamental direction of early musical education. Listening is conceived as a sensory, affective, and cognitive experience that develops auditory attention, inner hearing, aesthetic sensitivity, and musical thinking. The author highlights the pedagogical concepts of Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, Zoltán Kodály, Edwin E. Gordon, and Dmitri Kabalevski, emphasizing their complementarity in shaping children’s perception and understanding of music. The paper presents the fundamental principles of active listening: experiencing music through movement (Dalcroze), inner audiation (Gordon), and mental singing (Kodály), integrated with Kabalevski’s value-oriented educational tradition. A five-step methodology for organizing listening activities is proposed (introduction, listening, analysis, re-listening, valorization), along with the framework of music perception competencies for ages 1 to 6. Various teaching techniques are described-melodic contour, expressive movement, body percussion, humming, and musical drawing-which transform listening into an active process of experiential learning. The article demonstrates that music listening contributes to the holistic development of the preschool child, fostering a culture of sensitivity, aesthetic reflection, and thinking through sound. The author makes a substantial contribution to the foundation of a modern paradigm of early musical education - a paradigm in which music listening is not merely an aesthetic activity, but a form of thinking, a learning experience, and a means of artistic self-discovery.
