Summary/Abstract: The article presents the importance of artistic excellence and its role in the training of primary education teachers. Artistic excellence contributes essentially to the development of a harmonious personality, cultivating spiritual values and creativity. In order to achieve these goals, it is essential that teachers have a solid professional training and a special sensitivity in the field of the arts, which allows them to transmit to students not only knowledge, but also a set of values and attitudes that support their integral development . Thus, art education becomes a basic pillar in the development of a balanced society, where students are taught to think critically, to be empathetic and to express their personality authentically. Updating the artistic/musical skills of primary education teachers is essential to ensure artistic excellence in the educational process. Since art plays an important role in the development of students, teachers must be well trained and possess not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in various artistic fields, such as music, drawing, theater, etc.
