Summary/Abstract: The article “Methodological Guidelines for Selecting the Musical Repertoire for Lower-Grade Choirs in Music/Art Schools” addresses the importance of choosing an appropriate repertoire for students of different ages and their specific developmental needs. The paper emphasizes the significance of selecting suitable repertoire for children’s choirs in music schools, highlighting the essential methodological aspects of this process. It underlines the necessity of adapting the repertoire to the age and vocal development level of the children, thus ensuring an enjoyable and effective educational experience. The physiological aspects of children are also analyzed, stressing the importance of selecting musical works that do not exceed their vocal capacities. Special attention must be given to children’s voices to avoid overstraining the vocal cords, promoting healthy vocal development.
