Summary/Abstract: The problem of vocal culture development at the amateurish church choir’s singers, without musical training, involves hard work that requires a lot of patience, faith, study and tenacity. Church songs facilitate not only communication within a social group, gathering people around common ideas of glorifying God, but also contribute significantly to the development of the chorister's vocal skills, musical hearing, rhythmic sense and aesthetic taste. In this article are analyzed the interpretation difficulties raised by the main Orthodox liturgical songs, found in the repertoire of the church choir of the Orhei "Saint Hierarch Nicholas” Cathedral. The events of the Liturgy are remembered and explained, their significance, the choral songs intended for each liturgical moment, accompanied by practical recommendations regarding their interpretation.
