- Summary/Abstract:The Japanese school year is organized somewhat differently than in European countries. There are some interesting things about the Japanese attitude towards school that do not exist anywhere else in the world and are unique only to their nation. The PISA tests, on which Japanese students achieve excellent results in mathematics, reading skills and natural sciences for years, show that in successful educational systems citizens value education because the economy and the state pay for knowledge. Another important fact is that achievement is the result of hard work and effort, not innate intelligence. Which indicates that the social context in which education takes place greatly affects its success and quality in work. The digitization of their educational system is visible at every step, from preschool to higher education institutions. The growth of digital technology in the Japanese education system has played a key role in maintaining continuity in learning amid disruptive forces. By harnessing the power of modern technologies like eSIM, Japan has successfully advanced its commitment to digital inclusion in education. The goal of this paper is to present the specifics of their educational system with a focus on the organization of work and digitalization of the teaching process.

- Summary/Abstract:In recent years, the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and criminal justice has prompted a paradigm shift in the administration of justice. This paper explores the numerous implications of integrating artificial intelligence into the legal landscape. The paper critically examines the application of AI in criminal courts, focusing on its role in decision-making processes, bias, and integrity. By harnessing machine learning algorithms, these systems analyze extensive datasets to predict future criminal behavior, raising pertinent questions about the reliability and fairness of such predictions. The ethical dimensions of using AI in criminal justice are a central theme, considering issues of transparency, accountability, and bias inherent in algorithmic decision-making. This text analyzes the challenges and opportunities presented by „mechanical justice“, emphasizing the need for a nuanced understanding of the impact of AI on fundamental principles of criminal procedure and human rights and freedoms. Furthermore, the research examines the potential exacerbation of existing disparities within the criminal justice system. Socio-economic, racial, gender, and sex-based biases rooted in historical datasets can be perpetuated and even amplified through the application of AI tools, necessitating comprehensive precautions to mitigate such risks. As we stand at the crossroads of technological advancement and legal tradition, this paper serves as a crucial resource for legal theorists, practitioners, and policymakers. It advocates for a thoughtful and authoritative approach to integrating AI into criminal justice, ensuring that technological advancements align with the principles of fairness, justice, and the protection of individual rights. The discussion presented here is essential for shaping the contours of a future where AI and justice converge, requiring vigilant oversight and ethical consideration in the pursuit of a more just legal system.

- Keywords:distance learning; virtual schools; ICT; educational system; learning model;
- Summary/Abstract:The application of modern ICT in higher education has also contributed to the development of new models of teaching and learning that take place outside the classroom. At the same time, by attending distance learning courses, students do not lose anything in terms of the quality of teaching and the amount of knowledge they acquire, while on the other hand they are given the opportunity to learn at a pace that suits them, at a time that suits them, from home, which makes it easier for them to balance learning with other life obligations. Distance education can be implemented at all levels of education, and is most common within higher education. It can exist as a supplement to classical education or as a completely independent one. The advantage of hybrid education lies in the fact that the best features of both forms of education can be used. However, it is mainly used as a transitional model when completely switching to distance education. The digital society we live in demands changes in the education system every day. These demands mostly relate to the need to introduce new learning models that will keep up with the dynamic processes in modern society.

The education system in Germany has some specifics compared to other countries. First of all, it is not centralized. For each of the 16 federal states, their ministries are responsible. This means that subjects, curricula and qualifications are different in some of them. Also, the German education system is vertical. There are diversified school institutions according to the student's preferences, whether he is for further education or for work. The dual education system is one of the characteristics of this school system. In this paper, we will point out the most important aspects in the organization of this educational system, as well as everything that makes it successful.

- Summary/Abstract:From early age, individuals shape their attitudes, values, and behavioral patterns under the influence of various social, cultural, and media factors. Alongside family upbringing and formal education, popular culture — especially music — plays a particularly important role in shaping perceptions of gender roles and social norms. As music remains one of the most pervasive forms of everyday entertainment, its influence is often underestimated, despite being powerful and enduring. Popular songs that glorify patriarchal patterns, jealousy, and violence against women are present at social gatherings, in media portrayals, on social networks, and across digital platforms. Within such environments their messages are easily internalized, shaping listeners’ understanding of power, control, and intimate relationships. An analysis of songs such as Garavušo garava (1998) by Miroslav Škoro — whose lyrics „You will be mine or nobody’s” explicitly imply the possession of a woman — as well as songs by female performers such as Ceca Ražnatović, reveals clear patterns of women’s objectification and the normalization of violence. These examples show that popular music does not operate in a vacuum, but rather continues a discourse rooted in prevailing societal attitudes. Such lyrics not only reflect patriarchal structures, but further reinforce them, often romanticizing male domination and shifting responsibility for violence onto women. In this way, popular music functions not only as entertainment but also as a medium for reproducing social stereotypes and values that sustain a culture of violence. Understanding these mechanisms is crucial for fostering a critical approach toward popular culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of song lyrics in this process and to emphasize the need for critical media literacy in education and in raising awareness among younger generations about equality, ethics, and social responsibility.

- Keywords:phonemic awareness; rapid naming; reading; pre-reading skills; early intervention;
- Summary/Abstract:The aim of the study was to examine the correlational influence of phonological skills and rapid naming on reading development in children from the second to the fifth grade of primary school. The sample included 60 students, and phonemic awareness tasks (phonemic segmentation and phoneme deletion), rapid naming tests (pictures, colors, numbers, letters) and one-minute reading were used. The results show a significant correlation between rapid naming, phonemic awareness and reading ability. Older children achieve better results on all tasks, which indicates the development and consolidation of phonological skills with age. Analysis of variance confirms statistically significant differences between grades. The study emphasizes that pre-reading skills, including phonological awareness and rapid naming, represent a key foundation for the development of reading skills. Children who have not developed these skills should be included in speech therapy treatment to prevent possible later reading difficulties, including dyslexia. The results support previous research that emphasizes the importance of phonemic awareness and rapid naming as predictors of successful reading.

It refers to everything that people undertake in a planned, conscious and organized manner in terms of personality formation, both what society undertakes in relation to the student, and what the student does in relation to society. The formation and development of personality is influenced by numerous factors, of which the most dominant factor is the process of education. In addition to the importance of education for building personality, it also has a large share in the development of society. - Summary/Abstract:Climate change, as a victimization factor, is a very important and scientific problem that requires a multidisciplinary scientific approach to realize the interests and needs of victims of natural disasters, as well as individual human rights related to the right to life as an elementary human right. In addition, climate change must also be viewed in terms of preventing natural disasters, pollution, endangerment or damage to the environment. In this context, Bosnia and Herzegovina recognized and, in accordance with international obligations, adopted certain strategies related to adapting to climate change in the future. However, it did not arrange special legal protection for victims of climate change in accordance with European recommendations, as well as other ratified international documents. Climate injustice or justice for victims of climate change is not defined in Bosnia and Herzegovina by criminal law regulations and it is necessary to harmonize it in order to avoid conflicts, namely at the national, entity and local level. The victimological discourse related to climate change requires urgent legislative changes or the adoption of special laws that will enable legal protection for victims of climate injustice, as well as compensation from the state for these victims. The authors designed the Paper to present the needs and interests of the victims of climate change, along with the best measures of legal protection and prevention of future victimization. Without the adoption of European legal regulations in this area as well - it is not possible for Bosnia and Herzegovina to become a member of the European Union.

- Subject(s):Criminal Law, Penology, Sociology of Law
- Page Range:225-235
- No. of Pages:11
- Keywords:prison systems; punishment; repression; inmates; deprivation of liberty;
- Summary/Abstract:The construction of prisons, which marked the inception of modern penal institutions, began only in the late 16th century. These facilities housed not only convicted offenders but also vagrants, beggars, idlers, prostitutes, alcoholics, abandoned children, and other individuals deemed socially dangerous. Within such a framework of enforcement, intimidation, cruelty, and retribution constituted the primary instruments and guiding principles of the penitentiary system. Indeed, until the 18th century, the treatment of prisoners lacked even the most basic elements of humanity. Both theorists and practitioners concurred that society—particularly offenders—should be deterred through severe punishments and even harsher methods of execution. Such conditions prevailed in prisons across nearly all countries, including those in the United States. However, certain advancements occurred in some U.S. states that Europe failed to implement. From the very outset of introducing custodial sentences and their enforcement, the United States began developing specific systems that represented a notable improvement over European practice. This paper aims to examine the historical evolution of prison systems, which subsequently transformed and advanced in tandem with societal progress.

- Keywords:resocialization; convicted persons; correctional treatment; reintegration; informal forms of learning; educational competencies;
- Summary/Abstract:Resocialization is the process of gradual reintegrating offenders from a criminal subgroup into the social community as a group. Resocialization is expected to change those personal characteristics of convicts that are associated with criminal behavior and thus enable them to integrate into social life. Resocialization models have changed and been supplemented throughout the historical development of penology as a science, and each of them has played an important role in the reeducation of convicted persons. Today, the resocialization model strives for the humanization and individualization of treatment, but also for the need for the convict, above all, to accept an active role in the process of reeducation and the implementation of the treatment program. Correctional treatment and the process of resocialization are very closely related, because the successful outcome of correctional treatment contributes to the success of resocialization. Therefore, the pedagogical approach in the process of resocialization is a key factor for their successful rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. However, numerous social changes require a different approach to the convict during the process of resocialization, both in terms of educational and corrective treatment and methodology of work with convicted persons, and in terms of work engagement and the acquisition of educational and social competencies through some of the informal forms of learning.

- Summary/Abstract:Abuse of narcotic drugs is undoubtedly one of the most complex problems of the contemporary policy of suppressing punishable behavior (the socalled criminal policy) and criminal law today in the world and in our country. This results not only from the total number of reported, accused and convicted persons for some form of this criminal offense or misdemeanor on a multi-year level, but even more from the reasonably assumed so-called "dark numbers" of criminality directly or indirectly related to the abuse of narcotic drugs. Drug cartels that operate in large prison systems represent an informal community of prisoners that deals in the resale of psychoactive substances and whose main characteristic is brutal violence against opposing groups that operate inside or outside the penitentiary system. In this paper, we want to point out the problems faced by the formal system when it comes to the activities of various gangs that undermine the security of prisons, but also the problem of the increasing number of drug addicts in prisons.

- Summary/Abstract:Juvenile offenders today need fast and efficient rehabilitation that will not separate them from normal life courses for several years, but will provide them with shorter institutional programs with which they will build the competences and social skills they lack in order to strengthen their character, correct their behavior, accept social values, and see their mistakes and start from the beginning, but still with the full support and supervision of experts within the framework of the non-institutional program. By presenting educational correctional programs, we wanted to show one of the institutional models of working with juvenile offenders, which, as we are already inclined, we do not have to apply in the original form, but adapt to our conditions, the needs of juveniles, because in the American justice system there is still a large amount of repression in the re-education of juvenile offenders, while our system is based primarily on the principles of individualization, respect for personality, humanization and the natural conditions of resocialization of juvenile offenders. In order for such a program to be implemented in our country, it is necessary to train the personnel who work with juvenile offenders, but also to create adequate material and technical conditions for implementing such programs.

- Summary/Abstract:In modern business conditions, the presence of various forms of threats and endangerment of corporations, and therefore security in general, is increasing. With the globalization of the world and the dynamic concept of life and work, conditions have been created for a different approach to the development of the security and protection system of corporations, with the skills of managers gaining increasing importance. The concept of security sector reform is of exceptional importance to transitional societies. The highest levels of general and security management are forced to devote significantly more time to the development of the security and protection system, in order to avoid the dangers that are present every day and prevent the decline and disappearance of the corporation. Since it is evident in practice that our managers pay very little attention to personal development, the question arises of their competence and ability to respond to every challenge and obstacle. Management must not be stereotypical and rigid when it comes to the security and protection system, but creative and perspective, in order to meet the new demands of the time in which corporations exist and develop. The functioning and development of the security and protection system of a corporation, in modern business conditions, is unthinkable without the importance and role of management, primarily top management and security management.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper analyzes the role of the High Representative and the practice of applying the so-called Bonn powers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular focus on their institutional, legal, and social effects in the post-Dayton period. The research examines the impact of the Bonn powers on state stability, democratic legitimacy, the political autonomy of domestic institutions, and the long-term sustainability of the postDayton system. The aim of the study is to determine the extent to which international intervention contributes to or limits the development of domestic capacities and institutional accountability. The main hypothesis assumes that, although the Bonn powers allow for the short-term resolution of political and institutional deadlocks, they do not strengthen domestic political responsibility in the long term, but rather establish patterns of dependence and institutional passivity. The auxiliary hypotheses analyze the legal and legitimacy uncertainties of the Bonn powers, their impact on social identity and citizens’ collective responsibility, and the paradox of reforms in the context of European integration. The research is based on qualitative content analysis, legal-normative and comparative methods, and the synthesis of available reports and publicly accessible sources, including Transparency International BiH (2015). The analysis shows that while the Bonn powers can be effective in crisis situations and in bridging immediate institutional gaps, they ultimately limit the development of domestic political autonomy, lead to legal uncertainty, political polarization, and weaker social cohesion. Formal reforms, although aligned with international standards, often remain insufficiently implemented, reducing their sustainability and contribution to institutional strengthening. The study concludes that the Bonn powers represent a paradoxical mechanism: they may prevent short-term collapse but cannot replace the active, responsible role of domestic political actors. Sustainable stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina depends on strengthening institutional capacities, consensual decision-making, and the development of democratic culture within domestic structures.

- Summary/Abstract:The problem of murders and cases where the perpetrators are children is a dilemma for every legislative system, first of all. the way of determining the lower age limit for punishing children. It is most often 14 years in most countries, but what about children who have committed mass or serious murders, who are not yet 14 years old!?. The judicial system is still looking for adequate solutions for such cases, but it is evident that there are many doubts or loopholes in the law that make child murderers irresponsible for even the most heinous crimes. How and in what way to deal with such children, how to resocialize them and after a certain time integrate them back into the social community is a truly complex issue that opens up many sub-questions and dilemmas. In this paper, we will point out some of the characteristics of crimes committed by children, as well as the motives for committing them.

- Summary/Abstract:The prison system is a system of institutions in which prison sentences are served and is established by law. This system includes a system of several types of prison institutions that are divided according to different criteria. Within each prison, a formal system of execution of prison sentences regulated by legal regulations is implemented. This formal system is called the prison sentence execution system. The prison system in the narrow sense and the formal system of execution of prison sentences together make up the prison system of a country. In contrast to the formal system that is socially and legally formulated, the informal one does not have its own written form, but has clearly defined unwritten rules of conduct that convicts within penal institutions accept and adhere to. The informal system is a specific subculture in the prison community that often disrupts the functioning of the formal system, which is why the security service carries out inappropriate supervision and control of high-risk convicts in order to act promptly and prevent violations of the prescribed house rules of the institution. Such operational actions require a high level of expertise and professionalism. The aim of this paper is to point out the importance of the security service and their role in the organization and functioning of penal and correctional institutions. In this paper, we will discuss the functioning of the informal prison system, as well as the way the security service operates in suppressing and preventing illegal actions and activities within the prison.
