Summary/Abstract: Juvenile offenders today need fast and efficient rehabilitation that will not separate them from normal life courses for several years, but will provide them with shorter institutional programs with which they will build the competences and social skills they lack in order to strengthen their character, correct their behavior, accept social values, and see their mistakes and start from the beginning, but still with the full support and supervision of experts within the framework of the non-institutional program. By presenting educational correctional programs, we wanted to show one of the institutional models of working with juvenile offenders, which, as we are already inclined, we do not have to apply in the original form, but adapt to our conditions, the needs of juveniles, because in the American justice system there is still a large amount of repression in the re-education of juvenile offenders, while our system is based primarily on the principles of individualization, respect for personality, humanization and the natural conditions of resocialization of juvenile offenders. In order for such a program to be implemented in our country, it is necessary to train the personnel who work with juvenile offenders, but also to create adequate material and technical conditions for implementing such programs.
