Изграждане на творческата личност, като цел на възпитанието, и форми на принуда при нормативното възпитателно-образователно общуване

Author(s): Jordan Banev / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 4/2018

The present text proceeds from the concept of creative personality, which is defined by the creative talent intrinsic to every child. It is not related to a particular (artistic) activity, but to the primal capacity of every person to re-create themselves. From a pedagogical standpoint, such an assumption accepts that the upbringing of a person as a goal of instruction is conditioned by the nurturing of the creative gifts of the child. In school, group work requiers a group-appropriate approach, as well as the appropriation of regulative mechanisms by the system. The article describes some of them as functioning forms of compulsion, which disable the child to unfold its creative potential and contradict basic assumptions about education, which have remained unchanged from Antiquity to this day.

Development of Entrepreneurial Competences in Primary School System in the Republic of Croatia, with a Focus on Competences for Social Entrepreneurship

Author(s): Kristina Lauš,Siniša Opić / Language(s): English Issue: 6/2018

In order for education system objectives to have a positive impact on the economic prosperity of the country, but also with the aim of developing a “culture of self-reliance”, entrepreneurial competence is one of eight key competences whose development is recommended by the European Union. This paper analyzes to what extent the learning outcomes defined by the Croatian national curriculum encourage the development of entrepreneurial competence in elementary education in Croatia and to what extent is this contributed by the Primary School Curriculum. The focus is also on promoting development of competences for social entrepreneurship, a business model that is not only aimed at gaining profit, but also an active contribution to well-being and sustainability of the local community.First part of the paper defines the area of competence and social entrepreneurship. The central part of the paper consists of an analysis of the National Curriculum Framework and a review of the Primary School Curriculum and the competence of teachers and professors. The paper also analyses curricular documents with the current Comprehensive Curricular Reform. In the final part, recommendations are given to improve the existing model for development of entrepreneurial competences. The analysis showed that necessity for developing entrepreneurial competence is recognized at the national level, but the incentive is primarily expressed at a declarative level and requires a systematic upgrade of the existing curriculum, and in particular the education of teachers and professors. There is an opportunity to upgrade it within the current proposal of Comprehensive Curricular Reform.

Special Education Teachers’ Practices and Perceptions Regarding the Creation of a Developmental Environment that Supports the Correction of the Cognitive Activity of Children with Intellectual Disability

Author(s): Athanasios Kateris / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

Teaching children with intellectual disability is a particularly challenging task because of their limitations in intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior. Their learning characteristics demand specific curriculum content and instructional strategies. Furthermore, although a carefully designed and positive learning environment is beneficial for all students, it is more important for their education. Therefore, their teachers should create the appropriate physical, psychosocial and pedagogical environment which can promote their cognitive activity and the full development of their strengths. In order to investigate how everyday school life teachers, perceive and try to establish the optimal environment for their intellectually disabled students, a survey on special education teachers’ perceptions and practices has been conducted. The results have shown that the participants are well aware of the importance of all aspects of the appropriate learning environment for their students with intellectual disability and that they try to establish this environment in their everyday school life in order to enhance their cognitive activity.

Педагогика на физическата култура – гранична педагогическа наука

Author(s): Chavdar Sotirov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2019

The article presents a brief historical analysis of the formation and development of the pedagogy of physical culture, presenting facts and arguments in its defense against the background of the philosophical-pedagogical culture science. The idea of writing this article arises from the tangible penetration of the concept of physical culture in pedagogical literature and rhetoric. The aim of the study is to justify the right of existence and the vitality of the phrase “pedagogy of physical culture” 1), which is apparent from the cohesive blend of the two basic concepts: “pedagogy” and “physical culture”. The introductory remarks logically lead to the methodological need to clarify the subject matter of the research as much as possible. In this respect, taking into account the theoretical base of general pedagogy, the subject of research is assumed to be the overall process of formation and purposeful development of the physical culture of the individual in the conditions of education, training and overall development, the aim of the research being pedagogical functions of the pedagogy of physical culture, which we consider to be within the interdisciplinary scientific fields and border pedagogical sciences. The narrowing of reflections leads us to a sociological approach to studying culture and considering education as its specific institution at the level of pre-school education. In the course of theoretical assumptions, analyzes and conclusions, it is clear that both concepts of “physical education” and “sport” have their general and specific characteristics, but their content shapes and influences the evolution of pedagogy of physical culture. It is inextricably linked with the other substructures of the social system - education, health care, science, culture, ecology etc.

The study identified differences between good and poorly-reading first-grade students. This reflected in the shorter duration of fixations, the greater amplitude of saccades and the speed of reading, as well as the partial influence of the “complexity” of the text on the amplitude and number of regressive saccades. The differences were related to the degree of maturity of cognitive processes included in the psychophysiological structure of reading as a special type of cognitive activity.
