Summary/Abstract: This article presents a contemporary study on the use of expressive forms in the language activities undertaken by university students in pedagogy with pre-school children. The results of the project implemented at one of the Sofia University’s partner nursery schools in the city of Sofia, verify that usage of expressive language forms supports and facilitates second language acquisition of children in addition to establishing a positive emotional environment for communication. Further research on a national and international level is needed for the verification of the association between the language achievements of the children and the literary forms used in the language education.
