Georges Ştefănesco was one of the aces of the Romanian aviation, for which he worked a few decades, especially during the period between the two wars, with a dedication rarely met, completing more than 16,000 flying hours and Being known by all our aviators as well as by the Romanian public under the name of Gogu Ştefănesco. In 1916, when he obtained the aviator's license, he established himself as an assiduous, obliging, modest member, showing great affection for the flight and very good piloting skills. Thanks to these qualities, as well as to an intense work he has gone through all the stages of the profession and he has arrived at the degree of aviator commander. During the second half of 1915, Gogu Ştefănesco registered as a volunteer at the School of Aviation of Băneasa, sponsored by the National Aerial League. On March 4, 1916, he obtained the Patent Certificate number 81. Once Romania entered the First World War (August 14, 1916), young pilot Gogu Ştefănesco carried out several reconnaissance missions as well as for the Tuning of artillery fire on the Danube front. Aspecte privind epurările politice în administrația publică centrală și locală (1944-1945)

Romania was included in the sphere of influence of the Soviet Union after 23 August 1944. The new Romanian leaders adopted repressive legislation in all spheres of activity. Legislation on the purging of state administrations, adopted between 1944 and 1948 and ministerial decisions, represented for the Romanian political milieu the inauguration of the process of the establishment of the "people's democracy" regime in our country. Under the new legislation the authorities advocated the exclusion of all those who felt the need to express themselves freely and against anti-democratic measures adopted by the authorities supported by the Soviet Union. The first law of political purge was adopted in September 1944 and was published in the "Official Monitor" no. 216/19 September 1944. After a month, in October 1944, the authorities adopted a new law of purification which was published in the "Official Monitor" no. 233/8 October 1944, respectively Act 486 on the purification of public administrations

Mărturii inedite despre exilul lui Mihail Fărcășanu

Michel Fărcăşano (1907-1987) was a well-known personality for the Romanian exile of the era prior to that of Ceauşesco. In Romania he was a lawyer, publicist, writer and president of the National Liberal Youth (1937-1946). These articles and works such as "La Monarchie sociale" (1940), the novel "Leaves are no longer the same" (published in 1946 under the pseudonym Mihail Villara, prize of Editions La Culture Nationale) or " Letters to the Romanian youth "(banned in 1946 shortly after his appearance) announced a writer of great vocation. But his work was abruptly interrupted and condemned to oblivion as a result of his political activity. In November 1945 he was one of the main organizers of the anti-communist demonstrations in Bucharest. He was sought by the police and left the country underground with his wife, Pia Pillat (the daughter of the writer Ion Pillat) and Vintilă Brătiano with a military plane from Caransebeş, with a pilot Mathieu Ghica-Cantacuzène

The Austrian heraldic chancellor issued during the emperors Carol VI and Ferdinand I, several diplomas in favor of members of the Rosetti family. They have been much cited in the works of some historians at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the 20th century, but never fully presented. The building of the Danube- Black Sea canal started in 1949. It was a soviet model. Specialists and advisors were to came from Moscow. The communist leaders were less interested in the economic finality of the gigantic construction then the politic one. The building yard was expected to be a true school in forming new communist personnel and also the easiest way to eliminate the politic adversary sent to work there until physical and psychical annihilation. The first steps in collectivization were made by massive expropriations. Nine months from the start of the construction nothing was going well, the qualified personnel and the strict schedule were missing. These problems were secret, the public opinion wasn't informed about the disastrous way of spending the public funds. Yet, in 1953 the leaders of the Romanian Workers Party (P.M.R.) ordered the temporary closing of the construction because of the big financial losts

Using the articles from the daily newspapers, the author tries to re-create the enthusiastic atmosphere that surrounded Romanian Exhibition within "The world's fair" from New York. He puts an accent on the excellent organizing of the show due mostly to the general manager, the famous sociologist Dimitrie Gusti, the initiator of the events celebrating the National Day of Romania ( 10-14 May 1939). He describes the two Romanian pavilions build following the plans of architects G.M. Cantacuzino and Octav Doicescu. Aspecte privind "democratizarea" armatei și a forțelor de ordine în perioada 1944-1950

The reformation of the army and of the order forces represented a fundamental element for the Communist Party at the beginning of the period of Romania communization. Its success was assured by a few measures. First of ali, benefiting the support of the Red Army, materialized in the activity of The Allied Soviet Commission of Control, the Romanian communists would pass at the annihilation of any opposition in the inside of this organisms which were very important for a state's security. The stipulations of the Armistice Convention from 1 th of September 1944 and of the Protocol from 26 of October made possible the creation of a "new army".
