Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the drama of the Romanian officer Lieutenant -Colonel Constantin Căpşuneanu taken prisoner by the Soviet Army on September 7 1944. He remains in captivity, in the gulag of the Monastery of Oranki,until 1945, when he went to the country as Division Horea, Cloşca and Crişan.In fact, it was the tragedy that had to suffer more than 130,000 prisoners Romanian catches by the Soviets between 24 August and 12 September 1944, oneanother unfortunate chapter of the participation of the Romanian army in the second World War
