Rosetti Family Enlightenment Diplomas

Summary/Abstract: The Austrian heraldic chancellor issued during the emperors Carol VI and Ferdinand I, several diplomas in favor of members of the Rosetti family. They have been much cited in the works of some historians at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the 20th century, but never fully presented. Probably society time was more familiar with such documents and they were regarded as acts private, interesting only for the beneficiaries' family.The coat of arms on one of the diplomas was recalled, by the way, byGeneral Radu Rosetti who wrote his family history• According to our opinion his presence on the Austrian diploma (Roseteşti coat of arms being known and used by Rosetteşti since their arrival in the country), meant her validation in heraldry European, and was later reported in foreign armor.
