Summary/Abstract: Romania was included in the sphere of influence of the Soviet Union after 23 August 1944. The new Romanian leaders adopted repressive legislation in all spheres of activity. Legislation on the purging of state administrations, adopted between 1944 and 1948 and ministerial decisions, represented for the Romanian political milieu the inauguration of the process of the establishment of the "people's democracy" regime in our country. Under the new legislation the authorities advocated the exclusion of all those who felt the need to express themselves freely and against anti-democratic measures adopted by the authorities supported by the Soviet Union. The first law of political purge was adopted in September 1944 and was published in the "Official Monitor" no. 216/19 September 1944. After a month, in October 1944, the authorities adopted a new law of purification which was published in the "Official Monitor" no. 233/8 October 1944, respectively Act 486 on the purification of public administrations
