- Summary/Abstract:This study has two distinct goals. Firstly it aims to draw a historical picture upon the theme of the subject as this fundamental theme was developed within the frame of modern and contemporary European culture. This endeavour is made by disclosing in the same time some of the essential implications for psychology that could be derived from this intellectual journey. The second goal is build exclusively on the need to understand the impact generated for psychology at its fundamental theoretical level by the historical debate about the topic of the subject. Within this frame, in the end, an essential difference is drawn between the limited achievements of all contemporary applicative theories from the general field of psychology and the endless quest to find ultimate answers regarding the issue of the subject.

- Summary/Abstract:The didactic exercise is a complex situation, in which the accumulated previous knowledge is always put to the test of facts, being necessarily contextualized in accordance with the realities that emerge in the educational process. Highlighting the constructivist model and the influence of sociocognitive psychology in the procedural redefinition of learning, is a model that can revolutionize the components of the didactic, teaching-learning path in school. Starting from these suggestions, the teacher is faced with a great challenge, to redefine the entire didactic activity with elements regarding empathy and its role in the act of communication, as well as a sociocognitive model of motivation in a school context. The training of the empathetic capacity of teaching staff is continuous, systematized and directed and is based on the valorization and development of the characteristics of empathy related to the evaluation criteria of the communication relationship in the teaching process.

- Summary/Abstract:Maintaining a balance between work and life after work is challenging for all employees, even more so for police officers. Based on the Job Demands-Resources theory, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of psychological capital as a personal resource on work engagement. It also tested the mediating role of life crafting for police officers in Romania. This was a study with two measurements. For the beginning, we measured the psychological capital and after a month, life crafting and work engagement. The sample for this study was made of 275 operative police officers from Romania (T1) and 220 police officers at T2. The obtained results supported our initial hypotheses, indicating that psychological capital positively predicts work engagement, and the relationship is partially mediated by life crafting.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper explores the psychological challenges faced by probation counselors, focusing on direct and indirect trauma and the factors contributing to resilience. Probation counselors frequently experience both direct trauma, which results from personal exposure to violence and threats in the workplace, and indirect trauma, also known as vicarious trauma, arising from empathizing with the traumatic experiences of their clients. The paper outlines how these professionals are at risk of developing mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, due to the cumulative emotional strain of working with individuals who have committed offenses or have been exposed to severe trauma. Resilience plays a key role in mitigating the negative effects of trauma. Factors contributing to resilience include personal coping strategies, professional training, and organizational support. The development of strong support networks and access to mental health resources within the workplace are emphasized as critical to maintaining the well-being and effectiveness of probation counselors. The paper also discusses the organizational strategies that can help reduce trauma impact, such as peer support programs and regular supervision, ensuring that counselors remain effective in their role while safeguarding their own mental health. Both direct and vicarious trauma in probation work should be addressed, to prevent burnout and enhance the long-term success of rehabilitation efforts.

- Summary/Abstract:The current work, through a cognitivist approach, aims to explore the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy in the treatment of major depressive disorder, focusing on rumination and rumination elimination techniques. The study focuses on identifying specific assessment and intervention strategies that contribute to ameliorating depressive symptomatology and improving clients' quality of life. The rumination approach in cognitive-behavioural therapy has an important role in the therapeutic process. Rumination becomes problematic when it focuses on causes and consequences, which can lead to maladaptive thoughts, to a maladaptive process, which can maintain the depressive cycle. Rumination is not static, but a dynamic process with interacting thoughts, feelings, and actions. Understanding the antecedents or triggers of rumination provides clues as to what purpose rumination serves in the person's life and helps plan changes to reduce the habit. Knowing the consequences provides clues to its use and functions and helps the therapist and patient consider what alternative actions might replace rumination.

The feeling that accompanies it is called affect. When representations are repressed, the affect remains active and can attach to another representation. The attribution of meaning is the result of the process of representation that is formed along the psychological development. Psychological development is not linear and constant, it takes place in stages or phases Each stage or phase is characterized by certain psychological capacities that are manifested in the relations with the social and cultural environment in which the human subject develops.

- Summary/Abstract:The study explores the impact of the COVID‑19 pandemic on the collective psyche, with a focus on the influence of digital mass media in Romania and social networks. The research revealed that during the nearly three years of restrictions, the media abandoned an objective register and, driven by unchecked clickbait, amplified the “mean world syndrome,” fueling fears related to health and the loss of loved ones through dramatic images and alarming news. These factors generated a collective psychosis and deepened distrust in medical institutions. Moreover, the spread of false news and subjective angles of reporting transformed information into a psychological weapon, intensifying stress and panic. The paper analyzes how these phenomena shaped public perceptions and mental health during this period of crisis.

Being a cyberbystander can be considered a form of toxic stress because young people often feel powerless to stop the harassment and worry that they might become the next victim. Given the cognitive and social effects of witnessing cyberbullying, the role of moral emotions requires greater attention in the development of effective anti‑bullying programs. Moral emotions should also be targeted in creating efficient interventions to manage the negative consequences of such events for all participants involved.
