In modern conditions of development, one of the greatest dangers to humanity is international terrorism. In recent decades, the danger of using microorganisms as biological weapons has increased significantly. Biological weapons were banned in 1972, when the 1925 Geneva Convention was replaced by the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxic Weapons and on Their Destruction, signed in London, Washington and Moscow. The Convention entered into force in 1975 and is considered a key element in the international community's efforts to tackle the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. But has the international community succeeded in codifying an effective mechanism to prevent this activity?

The theme about European Union law and its place in the Bulgarian legal system has been an occasion for dissonance in science and practice since the accession period of our country until today, often causing ambiguities in its application. This report examines the implementation of EU law in the Bulgarian legal system and its interaction with the domestic law, analysing the legislative amendments that the Bulgarian legislature undertakes in order to provide a legal environment for the direct effect of Union law. The relevant interpretative conclusions, which the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Bulgaria makes on these issues, will be presented as well. Thus, the study aims to outline the place of EU law in the Bulgarian legal system and to reveal its significant role in the life of society and state.

Legal aid is regarded as central in providing access to justice. Juvenile defendant entitled to be represented by an attorney. Juvenile can use an assigned counsel or contract attorneys. In Bulgaria throughout the proceedings the juvenile shall have the right to be represented by a legal adviser. The parents may be entitled to participate in the proceedings in the interest of the juvenile.
