THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL SANCTIONS PROCEDURE AND THE WORK OF THE SANCTIONS OMBUDSMAN IN THE LIGHT OF THE IDEA OF THE RULE OF LAW AND THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the report, an analysis was made of the constitution of the UN Security Council and its powers in the sanctions procedure. A classification of the types of sanctions has been made. The establishment of the Sanctions Ombudsman was considered, paying attention to his powers, the way he works and his communication with other UN bodies.
