Purpose: This study aims to assess the degree of satisfaction regarding service quality provided by the Transportation and Communications Division of the Regional Unit of Kavala, Greece. The main purpose of the study is accomplished through the development and the empirical testing of a conceptual framework. Design/methodology/approach: The present study adopted the SERVQUAL approach (model). The proposed conceptual framework was tested on a random sample of citizens visiting the Transportation and Communications Division of the Regional Unit of Kavala, Greece for personal affairs. The final sample consisted of 302 citizens. The reliability and the validity of the questionnaire were thoroughly examined. Empirical data were analyzed using the “Structural Equation Modelling” (SEM) technique. The present study is empirical, explanatory, deductive and, mainly quantitative. Findings: Empirical results indicate a moderate performance of service quality for the division in all dimensions of the SERVQUAL model. This does not appear to cause discontent among citizens, but certainly, it also does not provide any satisfaction. Regarding the examination of the conceptual framework, all dimensions impact citizen satisfaction with the exception of Reliability. Empathy seems to be a crucial factor in satisfaction. A revised conceptual framework is proposed with new indirect relationships. The explanatory power of the revised research model is extremely satisfying, quite accurately describing the determinants of citizen satisfaction regarding the services offered by the Division of Transportation and Communications of the Regional Unit of Kavala, Greece. In the revised conceptual framework, the dimensions of SERVQUAL model are not independent, since the four dimensions that have a statistically significant effect on Satisfaction (Empathy, Responsiveness, Tangibles and Reliability) form a network of relations and interdependencies. Research limitations/implications: A limitation stemming from the implemented methodology is the use of self-reported scales for the measurement of the six research factors. Moreover, the empirical research (survey) is focused on one organization and, therefore, offers relatively limited generalizability. Originality/value: Very few studies have utilized the SERVQUAL approach in the context of an explanatory research in the public sector or public services.

In this paper, we explore how often science is the topic of reporting on the four most widely used informative web portals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to research by alexa.com, the most popular informative web portals in Bosnia and Herzegovina are klix.ba, avaz.ba, dnevnik.ba and blic.rs.In a survey that will last a month (February 2018), we will check how often science is the topic of the mentioned portals, what kind of science is it (socio-humanistic, natural, technical), whether the texts refer to international scientific research or research in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will also analyze who the collocutors (sources of information) are in the texts related to science, who is the author of such texts and how the texts are presented (from the title, text equipment, text length). We are also interested in the genre (news, report, feature) and the sections where the themes of science are most often covered. The research showed that in a month, a total of 189 news in the field of science was published, mostly on the portal klix.ba, which still has the most published news in all sections. Most topics are published in the field of natural sciences. The research found that texts related to international research were mainly about natural science, while domestic research focused more on social science and humanities. Most texts are published in the form of news, without deeper analysis and interpretation. In the texts dominate leads which are characterstic for informative forms, and reporters contacted mostly just one interlocutorin theri texts. There is a large number of texts (about 24%) without any source of information.

In the paper the authors are analyzing the socio-economic status of women journalists from the south ofSerbia. Their monthly salary is far below the Republic average, and the analysis showed an importantlink between the amount of monthly income and the level of satisfaction of respondents - 92.1% ofrespondents showed dissatisfaction with their monthly compensation. If they were offered another jobthat is not journalism, 35.4% of respondents answered that they would accept it gladly, while 20.8% ofrespondents said that they would accept this offer ony for economic reasons. Labor and legal status inwhich the largest number of women journalists are is an employment for an unlimited period of time, while a slightly lower number of respondents is employed for a certain period of time. The percent ofunemployed is 18.8%. The research did not show a significant statistical link between the labor andlegal status and the level of security of the respondents, due to the fact that 26.66% of the respondentswho are employed for an indefinite period, and have the most stable type of employment status, feel“unsecure”. Apart from economic vulnerability, dissatisfaction with the financial situation, feelings ofinsecurity and uncertainty, readiness to change the profession, the position of journalists in the south ofSerbia is further degraded by dominant gender policies. Reasearch shows that 37.5% of respondentswere exposed to sexist attacks by interlocutors during their work. In addition to the high percentage ofwomen journalists who have suffered sexism, 14.6% of reporters are not sure whether they have everbeen exposed to sexist attacks by interlocutors. In the case of perception of gender-based violence againstother journalists, there is also a high percentage of journalists (20.8%) who express uncertainty. Inaddition, two-thirds of the women reporters (66.7%) explicitly claim to be aware of at least one case ofthis kind of violence. Findings also show that although 75% of journalists from the south of Serbia thinkthat journalists can influence the change of the position of women in the society, an equal number ofthem think that they do not influence the deconstruction of the gender stereotypes sufficiently. As amethod for collecting data, authors used survey, while quantitative and qualitative analysis is used as anoperational method.

The article concerns importance of freedom of speech in the public debate. It is one of the most important and fundamental conditions for the development of democracy and building of civil society. This is a liberty that requires responsibility for what is said. It may cause plenty of damage when lies are resorted to as a method of attaining goals at any cost. Such instances destroy the truth in its capacity of an extremely important value in public life. Fight for the truth takes courage. From its earliest days to the contemporary times, the history of the Polish state provides an excellent example of the significance of freedom of speech, attempts at its curtailment until complete abolition, and grappling with lies used as a tool for propaganda and manipulation.

In this research paper the Game of Thrones video game is juxtaposed with the original book and TV series in order to investigate the differences in failures experienced by the characters, primarily in the context of its fairness. J. Juul's book from 2013 serves as a main source of theoretical framework. It is argued that by misinforming the player about their influence on the plot, the game causes the player to develop learned helplessness, which, in turn, causes a lack of interest and lowered enjoyment.

Today, if we are talking about the Olympics, we are not just talking about a sporting event where specific athletes achieved particular results, winnings and losses. The impacts of such (sports, media) events and their interpretation in the media are much greater, from economic, socio-cultural to geopolitical. There is also a transcendence into the field of the linguistics. Flashbacks four years ago to the Winter Olympics Games in Sochi is form this view also – and still – very interesting.

The paper wants to interpret the recorded ways of communication between human beings and God. The approach to interpretation is mediological, that is, from the standpoint of the philosophy of media. It intends to ask the question about language, the medium of communication between human beings and God, and discover a reason why and how did God communicate with humans. Did that define the history of human’s belief and does it represents a form of foundation for religions of the Book? Contemporary tendencies of religious hierarchies to shift towards the political place a doubt on faith founded on language. A medium of communication with God puts into question the conceptualization as a form of self-knowing the absolute. Is language a side-track in human communication with God? The coexistence of traditional and social media causes many interactions. It is also one of the reasons affecting the changes in the specificity of journalism. Technical, economic and legal conditions of this profession cause that the representatives of mass media negatively evaluate the direction of transformations. They are also often convinced of the decreasing prestige of the profession (nearly 60% of responses obtained within the research project). However, at the same time the consumers asses the credibility of journalists significantly higher than the credibility of authors using the social media (68% of responses), and they more often accuse social media of manipulation and dissemination of rumors (84% of responses) than institutionalized broadcasters.

In the virtual web space, the fourth dimension – time, has been replaced by digitality as its inherent root. This new „dimension“ also implies endless and perspective opportunities for all of us and for every kind of human activity – for realization and change, for being and existence and for personal future. Trends in reformatting the dominant offline relationships in the societies also lead to „demands“ in creating, searching for and following megaleaders instead of parties. The need for a new civil contract becomes more and more urgent in this connection.

This works, explores the Turkey's encounter with the concept of public service broadcasting and the construction of this concept in the Republic of Turkey, first with the radio and then inevitably with the television broadcasts. In 1926, the Republic of Turkey, which was just newly established, meets radio. Established as a joint-stock company, TTTAŞ continues radio broadcasts until 1936. With the state's transfer of radio broadcasts to Posts, Telegraph and Telephone organization, “State Radio” period started in public broadcasting. Until the establishment of TRT (Turkish Radio Television Corporation), which will be an autonomous public service broadcaster in 1964, the radio continued to stay under state control. The Turkish society, which started to meet with television with experimental television broadcasts started in Istanbul Technical University in 1952, on January 31, 1968, with the TRT's first broadcast throughout the country, will be able to watch regular television broadcasts. The Republic and the TRT saw the television medium as a vehicle for educating the public and creating a type of citizen they wanted, rather than an entertainment platform.

With slogan “Keeping people connected is keeping people safe”, my study, along with previous surveys, shows that local radio can play a crucial role in a crisis. Researchers in crisis management and disaster management often point out that all disasters are local and that the first reaction to a crisis comes from the community itself. My study dissertation, examines the ways in which the Civil Protection Agency in Emergency / Risk Communication cases is needed to be based on four theoretical models that describe how a message or a risk information can affect population and how risk perceptions are shaped, and how risk decisions are made.
