ПЕРМСКАЯ МОНУМЕНТАЛЬНАЯ РИТОРИКА МЕСТНОЙ ИДЕНТИЧНОСТИ: ПАМЯТНИКИ, ЭМБЛЕМЫ И АРТ ОБЪЕКТЫ В ПРОСТРАНСТВЕ ГОРОДА

The article considers public monuments in a rhetorical perspective – as manifestations of local identity, or statements about the nature and mission of the city. It is demonstrated that there exist two competing monumental rhetorics in the urban environment of Perm. The industrial-military rhetoric unites an extensive group of monuments dating back to the Soviet era and those newly erected. Such monuments inscribe Perm into the heroic discourse of the Soviet epoch. Although the soviet memorial policy used to be universal for the whole state, in Perm it is not lacking for local individuality. Here, in particular, instruments of production and sample armament are displayed in the function of monuments. An alternative to this industrial-military rhetoric could be viewed in that of ‘Perm the Great’ (Perm’ Velikaya). It aggregates monuments appealing to the archaic heritage and ancient history of Perm Krai. This group of monuments suggests an image of Perm as a successor to the ancient culture, a city that made a special contribution to the history of Russian culture. Rhetoric of ‘Perm the Great’ was actively developed in the 2000-s. One of its distinctive features is the motive of Permian animal style. These are employed both in sculpture and in architectural decorum. The article establishes that the urban environment development highlights the multi layered and multidimensional nature of the city identity and its irreducibilty to a common denominator. Likewise, territory images construction, though sometimes acquiring a form of the search for a metaphysical substance of a city, such as Genius Loci, is in fact a ground for struggle and competition of various social, professional and political groups.

Czy pianiści to również aktorzy, czyli kilka refleksji nad gestem w muzyce

Apart from the functional dimension, the pianist’s gesture, which cannot be compared to linguistic sign, is a medium of various meanings, therefore it plays an important role in the extraverbal process of communication between the pianist and the audience during the piano recital. It is stated that the agreement between pianists, as representatives of airtight world of classical music, and a crowd of aesthetically open-minded people, lies in the sphere of body and gesture. The author outlines some proposals on how to define a musical gesture and how to examine it. It is proved that the gesture is a powerful tool in the pianist's hands and that the arsenal of emotionally-communicative gestures during the piano performance process is enormous. Immensely important in the gestural context is coherence and naturalness. There exists a contradiction between the reflections derived from the modern performance practice and the common knowledge of the majority of piano teachers, caused by numerous 'historical misunderstandings'. A brief study of selected gestural cases (Franz Liszt, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Sviatoslav Richter, Emil Gilels, Lang Lang, Martha Argerich, Yuja Wang, Waldemar Malicki) was done.

Od elektronicznej muzyki do elektronicznego obrazu. Exposition of Music – Electronic Television Nam June Paika

Nam June Paik (1932–2006) is now considered to be the most influential creator in visual arts. He is said to be the first artist who presented television as a source of artistic experience. However, nowadays many people forget about his musical beginnings. Starting as a musician, he was inspired by, for example, John Cage, whose philosophical way of thinking had a positive impact on Paik’s future experiments with music and objects. Exposition of Music – Electronic Television (1963, Wuppertal) was artist’s symbolic transfer from music to visual arts, presenting prepared pianos together with prepared TV’s. The article presents the exhibition as well as the environment created by Paik, showing the equality, importance and impact of two not so different kinds of art.

Aggression at school becomes frequent and seems hopeless. Obviously, we can not approach different conflict situations at school in the same way, only by applying disciplinary sanctions and expecting a different result. We need to use actual working instruments. Mediation is a powerful tool for resolving conflict situations at school. Since December 2004 a Law on Mediation is valid in our country. The Ministry of Justice is supporting a Unified Register of Mediators where organizations and individuals entitled to train mediators have been registered in accordance with ethical rules and standards. The article presents various real conflict situations from Bulgarian schools and the way in which they can be resolved by student- mediators.

It is well-known that today’s Bulgarian education suffers from serious deficits that prevent it from functioning at the level of modern requirements. That is why there is an urgent need for qualitative and effective changes to prevent spiritual and intellectual mutilation of future generations. There are not many things in the educational system that are useful and beneficial, but also ones that turn children into blind and deaf slave to the facts. Students think that they are thinking, but in reality only rearranging their prejudices.

This article investigates prose by Polish migrant writers by scrutinizing depictions of low-paid work, not only in the fictional texts but also in biographical sketches about the authors in blurbs and anthologies. Uffelmann adduces sociological studies on the ‘contradictory social mobility’ of Polish work migrants to show that devices of social self-degradation in migrant literature allude to the no-less-contradictory social situation faced by many migrant workers. His methodological approach is rooted in postcolonial theories, especially those that focus on paradoxical appropriations of identity. The main focus of the article is on ‘self-proletarianization’ and its function as an apotropaic twist: writers who ‘proletarianize’ either their protagonist(s) or themselves aim to achieve paradoxical recognition as artists.

Дидактически измерения на четивната грамотност на учениците от един и същи випуск в Бургаски регион, съотнесена към критериите на PISA

The article traces the results of a longitudinal study of the dynamics in the level of reading literacy of students from the same class in Burgas district correlated with the criteria of PISA. A ninth grade class has been tested in the national external assessments and according to the criteria of PISA. State educational requirements and the criteria for reading literacy of PISA have been compared. The aggravation of the reading literacy of the students is objectively observed and the reasons of it are being discussed.

This article presents different approaches and indicators for measuring of the effect of trainings of trainers by measuring the impact not only on trained trainers but also on achievements, changes in behavior and results of the students trained by the trained trainers.  A significant contribution of the presented model for measurement of change is that it provides analysis of the organizational change and the extent to which knowledge transfer is made to the other teaching staff. Significant for the organizational change is the concept of shared leadership and involvement of the teachers in the process of decision-making on key organizational issues, the common vision of the mission and the values of the organization and the its goals.

The trend of escalation of the number of children with special educational needs, in resource centers data, increases the importance of resource specialists in this field. This relatively new professional field already has its successes, but there is more to be done to be more effective and useful. The special features of supervision convert it into a possible alternative form of solving problems with professional orientation and future professional achievements in the study area. The established efficiency of supervision in international aspect makes it attractive, but the sudden implementation could cause significant disruptions. The study of attitudes and ratio to supervision in its future fields of activity will not only facilitate eventual entry, but also a prerequisite for the quality of its offering.

Социалнопедагогическа работа чрез арттерапевтични средства в ресурсното подпомагане на деца със специални образователни потребности

Application of a variety of methods stimulating early development is crucial for students with special educational needs (SEN) in kindergarten and general education schools. Over the last decade art therapeutic methods have proven effective in working with children with SEN by providing a new path to knowledge. Through the use of art therapeutic techniques, selected activities can be tailored according to the developmental level of children. This strength-based approach helps children overcome fears and increase self-esteem. In the present article, we explore the educational aspects of art therapeutic work with children with SEN and identify the factors that have a significant impact on their development and social functioning in particular.

This article is devoted to the structures and frameworks of the professional associations in West Central Bulgaria during the XIX century. The guild-embedded professional life of Bulgarians in the region reveals itself rich in various influences, resulting from migrations, wars, politics, religious life. Each guild owned a complex of traditions, rules, beliefs and cult of a patron saint, particularities, sets of connections and secret slangs, often jealously guarded by its members. The guilds` mutual funds, just like those of the church communities played a key role in the supply of credit to production and trade. The difference is found in the relative amount of supply, which is lesser within the guilds.

In the present paper an idea for optimizing the positioning of serving units in tourism business is revealed using some applications of mathematics in economics. The elaboration has a methodological character. Methodologically the authors assume that some tourist objects (hotels, restaurants, etc.) are given and they try to determine the best possible position for a serving unit (store, office, etc.) using a set of optimization problems. Finally, an approbation of the results with a real example is considered.

Disco polo isn’t only a genre of popular music, but also a cultural practice which has had a strong impact on sociocultural life in Poland of 1990s. The article explores the influence of popular culture on society: referring to the history of disco polo and characteristics of the political transformation in Poland, the author analyses relations between culture and political system, the economy and social structure.

Kino w ruinach. Promocja filmów w Berlinie 1945-1949

The article deals with marketing strategies of films and cinemas in Berlin during the first years after World War II. The author analyses diverse visual presence in the ruined city. Special attention is paid to questions concerning the political situation (Berlin as an occupied and divided city) as well as the demographic situation. Given the huge surplus of women in the German population after 1945, cinema audiences reflected this fact very precisely – seeing as the cinema was one of the few leisure time activities in those years.

In the article the author presents the preliminary results of her research project on blaxploitation movie‐going culture in Los Angeles in the 1970s oriented towards New Film History paradigm. The term blaxploitation describes the explosion of cheaply‐made black oriented b‐movies that was a consequence of grindhouse popularity and civil rights movement in the late 1960s.
