SMUTEK. ANALIZA PSYCHOLOGICZNA

Author(s): Iwona Grzegorzewska / Language(s): Polish

Żaneta Stelter obala także mity dotyczące zachowania niepełnosprawnych, m.in. mit „wiecznego dziecka” i mit „bezczynności”.

Jediná jistota je změna

Author(s): Adam Wiesner / Language(s): Czech

Autor majstrovsky využíva vedomú a silnú reflexivitu na všetky aspekty a fázy svojho skúmania. Zároveň poskytuje kultivovaný a znalosťami podložený ponor do prežívania rodovo nebinárneho človeka, prezentovaný a prítomný v celom texte. (prof. PhDr. Viera Bačová, DrSc) Kniha zaujímavým spôsobom prepojuje tri dimenzie situovanosti autora (vedca, aktivistu a človeka v procese tranzície). Táto špecifická situovanosť a pozicionalita je zároveň systematicky a citlivo reflektovaná v celom procese výskumu (interakcie so skúmanými).

Author(s): Marcin Fabjański / Language(s): Polish

Seria: Studia Philosophica Silesiensia (3), ISSN 2720-1120 The book deals with the assumptions, practices and challenges facing the new field of practice called “philosophical coaching”. The author proposes a definition of philosophical coaching as ethically and metaphysically engaged coaching, which distinguishes it from all other varieties of coaching, as well as from most psychotherapy approaches, as it is not afraid of metaphysical inquiries and is also ethically committed. From living philosophy, such as was cultivated in Greek and Roman antiquity, and — at the same time — in India and China, it inherited the courage to ask fundamental questions about the meaning of life, human finitude, our place in the cosmos, and the source of good life.

Living in today’s rushed time full of various changes increases the demands on the individual’s ability to adapt to these changes. Career adaptability plays an important role in coping with changing demands in the field of work. What is career adaptability? Why is it important, and what does it affect? The answers to these questions and many others are provided in the monograph, entitled “Career adaptability: Its Forms, Changes, Contexts, and Roles in the Lives of Young Adults Undergoing Upper-Secondary Vocational Education,” which is the first publication written on this topic in the Czech language. In the book, a team of authors presents the construct of career adaptability and the results of unique research carried out in the Czech Republic. In the first part, the reader may find an analytical overview of various concepts of career adaptability and related concepts. The central part of the publication is devoted to the results of quantitatively conducted longitudinal research, which aimed to identify career adaptability and its relationships to several demographic, school, relational, and personality variables in the case of students and later graduates of upper-secondary vocational education—those who are in the crucial stages of their career construction. Many empirical findings concentrated in this book are beneficial not only for the career counseling theories and research on career adaptability but also for vocational education or career counseling practitioners.

Yeni Medya Araştırmaları. Dil, İmaj, Fenomenler, Teknoloji, Dezenformasyon

Communication Studies is an interdisciplinary field, as it touches on many fields. Communication studies, which cover a wide area inculding sociology, psychology, text analysis, women's studies, cultural studies, politics, law, cinema as other scientific fields, have evolved into a completely different dimension with the new media. In this digital society where the borders have disappeared, the field of communication studies has expanded and brought some problems with it. It has brought many innovations in terms of new media features and reinforced the power of the media. By adding technical power to synchronous and asynchronous communication, it has both facilitated and cheapened global communication. This has contributed to the production of communicative content for people of all ages in the new media environment. This has created a gigantic virtual information cloud. While new media technologies have massively changed the use of media technologies, they have also come a long way in analyzing the data they collect. Data analysis and analysis tools are more advanced than ever before in human history and show signs of further development. Human beings aim to artificially develop an intelligence that they can extract from themselves numerically, perhaps one in a billion. He finds it more beneficial to develop an artificial intelligence that does not forget what he has learned instead of a person who is enthusiastic of learning. It aims to use algorithms that learn all the information in the information cloud with machine learning in a very short time to answer questions that have not been answered before. These technologies have started to give their first mass products today. Softwares like ChatGPT offer society a not so new, but more practical communication environment. The algorithm, which analyzes the information cloud, easily presents the texts suitable for instant needs to the user. However, there is a point that should not be forgotten. The issue of analyzing existing content and creating a new content makes people question what is new in a philosophical sense. For example, when the Dadaism movement emerged, it had a brand new discourse by presenting a critique of the existing. Dadaism has written its name in history with golden letters. Will an algorithmic discourse be able to achieve this? Is this creativity unique to humans? Is it in the hands of artificial intelligence to say something new? Time will tell for these. This study, including questions about new media technologies, reflects this interdisciplinary feature of communication studies and aims to contribute to communication studies in this respect.

Organizational Behavior Concepts and Research-I

Author(s): / Language(s): Turkish

Today, the importance of organizations is increasing day by day. The multiple functions and effects of national and international organizations necessitate new studies/research in the field of organizational culture and organizational behavior. Our primary goal has been to introduce the target audience we aim to address in our book to these new concepts and to prepare the ground for new research to be done. Our book, which aims to provide information to researchers, academicians, decision makers, practitioners, students who are interested in concepts and research in the field of organizational behavior, and to contribute to the national literature, consists of 21 chapters contributed by 28 authors. As can be understood from the subject distribution of the first book of our series, these studies will fill a very important gap in the field of organizational behavior and claim to be a source of new studies. We have completed our book work in a very difficult, troubled and stressful process due to the earthquakes affecting eleven provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, which is called the disaster of the century in our country. It is admirable that our chapter authors, who were directly affected by these earthquakes, contributed to our book under difficult conditions. For this reason, first of all, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to all our valuable and expert chapter authors who contributed and supported each other with intense labor, devotion, patience and patience in order to produce this work. In addition, I would like to express my endless thanks and respect to my esteemed teacher Prof. Dr. Mustafa TAŞLIYAN, who honored us by showing us the courtesy of writing a presentation to the book, who has always enlightened my path with his knowledge and experience and who has always been a role model for me, to Özgür Publishing House and its employees who worked meticulously in the preparation of the book for publication, to my family, my esteemed teachers, my friends and you, my esteemed readers, who have supported me in the process of writing the book and have helped me come to this day.

Teknostres

Author(s): Hüseyin Çiçeklioğlu / Language(s): Turkish Publication Year: 0

Adapting to information and communication technologies not only provides organizations with maximum efficiency, effectiveness and productivity, but also causes stress by creating pressure on individuals due to reasons such as excessive technology dependency, increased workload, high production demand and the need to constantly adapt to new technology applications and workflows (Srivastava). et al., 2015). This type of stress emerges as a toxic phenomenon and is defined as “technostress” (Boyer-Davis, 2018). Today, it is out of question to stay away from or refuse to use information and communication technologies. It is an inevitable fact that information and communication technologies, which are frequently used in society, sometimes create stress. Therefore, such a situation reduces the quality of life of individuals, causes various health problems and creates negative individual and organizational results. The effects of technostress at the psychological and physical level have been revealed by various studies. When the relevant literature is examined, it has been determined that technostress has negative effects on the productivity, job satisfaction, performance and belonging of the employees (Alam, 2016; Fuglseth & Sørebø, 2014), at the same time they experience burnout due to technostress and they have intention to quit (Ragu-Nathan et al. ., 2008). In addition, it is stated that physiological health problems such as excessive nervousness, headache, sleep problems, cardiovascular disorders are also associated with technostress in the workplace (Chen, 2015). In this chapter; The concept of stress and technology connection, the concept of technostress, the effects and symptoms of technostress and the factors affecting technostress, technostress models, technostress dimensions, technostress management, technostress reducing situations and the results of technostress will be discussed.

Gry wideo jako medium komunikacji. Wymiary interpersonalnej i intrapersonalnej komunikacji graczy

Author(s): Joanna Sikorska / Language(s): Polish

The book Video Games as a Medium of Communication. Modes and Dimensions of Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Communication among Gamers presents the current findings from research and scientific analysis concerning video games as a medium of communication. Video games allow gamers to communicate with themselves, as well as with other players and users of cyberspace. The issues addressed in the book show the complexity of the subject matter, point to interdependencies and also constitute a valuable source of knowledge in the cognitive, theoretical and practical spheres. What makes this publication extremely valuable is the way theoretical reconstructions are presented, as well as how the author indicates pedagogical implications for educational practice in terms of using video games and their specific language in education, also presenting them in various ways. Although communication between gamers is based on the same principles as communication between other users of cyberspace, it sometimes requires specific communicative competences, both verbal and non-verbal, due to the diversity and specificity of video games. The lack of such competences may interfere in satisfying needs important for the gamer: being competent, efficient, creative, transgressive, able to carry out the activities determined by the game independently but also together with other members of the group (guild, clan, discussion forum bringing players together). Significant elements are not only the reception and transmission of messages but also the particular aspect of intrapersonal communication of importance to each gamer, which, thanks to the internalization of messages, enables individuals to develop self-reflection and inner self-control.

In this paper, the author aims to contribute in the answer to the question of how to include pupils in the classroom teaching process, that is, what are the determinants of their inclusion. The answers to these questions was gained in experimental ways. The experiment was made according to the existing curriculum in BiH. The work was done in 20 hours time, ten in mathematics, and ten in the subject of my environment. Significant results have been made of which these results are in the rise: (1) expectations of success, (2) challenge and (3) mastering the target orientation of students. Reduced results are: (1) a motivation and (2) student activities during classes. Why activities, during classes of the conditions in which the teacher was trying to get students to work independently are lessened, it remains to be answered in some future research.
