Integrativní body-psychoterapie II.: psychoterapeutický proces

Integrativní body-psychoterapie II.: psychoterapeutický proces

Author(s): Filip Abramčuk / Language(s): Czech Issue: 1/2015

In the body-psychotherapy we enter the psychotherapeutic process on three levels: bodily, emotional and verbal. Apart from observing the verbal and emotional content of the client the therapist also uses skills of somatic resonance, body-reading and mindfulness to bodily feelings and emotions on himself and the client. He works with the reflection of transference and countertransference. He uses embodied knowledge of interventions aimed to release and also at ground the bodily affective energy. An important part of the process also takes up the verbal work (esp. exploration of the past, formulation of the deficient needs, integration of experience). The body-work is proposed as an offer of tentative experiments. The client learns to be mindful to himself and his reactions in the process. The body-work usually brings deepening of experience, newly felt relationship to one’s own body and its inclusion into the self. The personality shift is also reflected in the change of sensing and holding the body. In the process we try to avoid several difficult moments, e.g. emotional flooding, danger of retraumatisation. One casuistic example and its analysis is presented at the end.

Psychodynamika, psychobiologie a terapie deprese

Psychodynamika, psychobiologie a terapie deprese

Author(s): Jan Ponìšický / Language(s): Czech Issue: 3/2014

From psychogenetic (neurotic or reactive) point of view depression is defined as a pathologic reaction of loss. Why pathologic? Depressive patient does not accept the separation and therefore repress the aggression as well as the sadness. More often, he deals with the threat of loss, to be abandoned or rejected, or the loss of harmony threats. Such patients identify themselves with expectations of others and sacrifice their autonomy. They become dependent. In the last time we meet another psychodynamics of depression in people, who are dependent on the work performance and fail, or who are losing their identity. The author proposes an integrative psychodynamic and psychobiological concept of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy of depression.

MENTORLUSE RAKENDAMINE SÕJAVÄELISTE JUHTIDE ARENDAMISEL

MENTORLUSE RAKENDAMINE SÕJAVÄELISTE JUHTIDE ARENDAMISEL

Author(s): Kaspar Põder / Language(s): Estonian Issue: 11/2021

JUHTIMINE OHUOLUKORRAS

JUHTIMINE OHUOLUKORRAS

Author(s): Jaanus Jürgenstein / Language(s): Estonian Issue: 11/2021

Sõda on inimühiskonna ainulaadne nähtus, mille puhul inimese füüsiline ja vaimne vastupidavus pannakse proovile kõige raskemates katsumustes ning millega kaasnev iseenda surmaohtu seadmine on vastuolus elusolenditele omase enesealalhoiuinstinktiga. Kuigi vahetus ohus viibides on ellujäämise eesmärgil kasutatav vägivald ehk enesekaitse üsna loomulik, põrkub enese teadlik ohtuseadmine enamasti ellujäämisvajadusega. Sõjavägi on seetõttu mitmes mõttes erakordne institutsionaliseeritud vägivallainstrument, mis eeldab kõigilt liikmetelt seesuguste loomulike tungide valitsemist.

JUHTIDE ARENDAMISE PROJEKT: ÜLEVAADE JA TULEMUSED 2020. AASTAL

JUHTIDE ARENDAMISE PROJEKT: ÜLEVAADE JA TULEMUSED 2020. AASTAL

Author(s): Ivar Männamaa,Martin Mooses / Language(s): Estonian Issue: 12/2021

Prawda i wartości w psychologii

Prawda i wartości w psychologii

Author(s): Jolanta Miluska / Language(s): Polish Issue: 3/2021

The paper refers to three issues: the effective way to reach the truth, the inconclusive and equivocal (interpretative) nature of truth, and the axiological involvement of developmental psychology. The first issue can be resolved by arguing for the need to connect a good theory with a thoughtful research program. The second thesis finds its confirmation in that the critique and reconsideration of what was previously established are the essence of scientific investigations. Finally, the issue of the role played by values in developmental psychology will be analysed on four levels: the first deals with theories and concepts of values; the second with values as the object of psychological investigations; the third points to how values enter the research process itself; and the fourth refers to how concepts and theories in psychology become filled with axiology.

Mediacyjna rola zachowań zdrowotnych w relacji między cechami osobowości i dobrostanem psychicznym

Mediacyjna rola zachowań zdrowotnych w relacji między cechami osobowości i dobrostanem psychicznym

Author(s): Paulina Buczek,Katarzyna Tomaszek / Language(s): Polish Issue: 4/2021

This study examined the role of health behaviors in the relationship between personality traits and psychological well-being. The sample consisted of 147 participants (51% female), aged between 20 and 35 years. Respondents completed the NEO-FFI Personality Inventory, Psychological Well-being Scale (PWBS), and Health Behaviour Inventory (IZZ). The results confirmed the significant relationships between the personality traits, health behaviors and psychological well-being. Extraversion, conscientiousness and neuroticism were related to health behaviors. Personality traits appeared as significant predictors of psychological well-being (68% of explained variances in PWBS). The health behaviors mediated the relationship between three abovementioned personality traits and psychological well-being. A higher health behavior score was shown to reduce the strength of the effect of personality traits on psychological well-being. Findings indicate that personality traits are important in designing health programs to improve mental health.

Author(s): Denitza Kaprieva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2021

Actors attract broad public interest and often become role models for young people. Their profession implies some requirements and challenges that raise various research questions about the psychological characteristics of the actors. Research in the scientific psychological literature on the factors related to actors’ life satisfaction is scarce. The present study focuses on the effect that various personal and professional factors have on life satisfaction in a group of 140 Bulgarian actors (83 women, 57 men, age: M = 34.62). The results are compared with the predictors of life satisfaction in a control group matched by education, percentage distribution by sex, and mean age (N = 315, 195 women, 118 men, age: M = 36.88). The regression analyzes in the actors’ group reveal a significant positive effect of extraversion, manipulativeness, acclaim seeking, general self-efficacy, success in acting career, and negative effect of neuroticism, need of admiration, reactive anger, and experienced negative attitude in the profession. In the group of the actors, some specifics of the predictors of life satisfaction and their explanatory value are determined. The results are analyzed from the perspective of the characteristic features of the profession. Their contribution to a better understanding of the psychological functioning and needs of actors is discussed.

Психология на човека във виртуалния свят

Психология на човека във виртуалния свят

Author(s): Irina Zinovieva,Momchil Kiryakov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 2/2014

The information revolution and the creation of the global virtual space laid the foundations of a new type of human culture. Changes occur in the forms, means and volume of the cultural content generation and conservation. The most notable change concerns the information accessibility ranging from instant access of all on-line content to the opportunity for any single person with minimum equipment and Internet connection to join the culture creation and consumption on daily basis. In this environment the human psyche meets new challenges causing it to accommodate new ways of information processing, new forms of communication and self-presentation, to navigate in collapsed contexts marked with high uncertainty, to adapt to a new virtual work organization. We expect them to become more salient in the future generations that are born and formed in both the real and the virtual world. In view of the profound changes in a number of fundamental ways of the human psychological functioning in the virtual world, the authors envisage creation of a new psychological discipline – Virtual World Psychology.

The relationship between self-consciousness and career decision-making self-efficacy in disabled and non-disabled people: Two moderated mediation models

The relationship between self-consciousness and career decision-making self-efficacy in disabled and non-disabled people: Two moderated mediation models

Author(s): Siyi Liu,Aitao Lu,Xiaodan Chen,Meifang Zhang,Chuqi Liu,Meirong Li / Language(s): English,Serbian Issue: 1/2023

A growing number of studies have focused on psychological factors involved in the career decisions made by individuals with disabilities. This study primarily investigated task-oriented psychological capital as the mediator of the relationship between private/public self-consciousness and career decision-making self-efficacy. Disability status was tested as a moderator of this mediational pathway. By recruiting 257 individuals with disabilities and 258 individuals without disabilities, we found that task-oriented psychological capital mediated the relationship between private/public self-consciousness and career decision-making self-efficacy; however, these two indirect links were weaker for individuals with disabilities than individuals without disabilities, suggesting a moderating effect of disability status. Results are discussed in terms of the potential synergy between private/public self-consciousness and task-oriented psychological capital in the development of career decision-making self-efficacy among individuals with disabilities and individuals without disabilities.
