Bulletin of Szadek is an interdisciplinary journal focused on themes of the Szadek region. Bulletin’s profile includes not only the presence of the region but it also covers its historical role and scope of impact at the time when Szadek was one of the major urban centers in this part of Poland. The magazine is aimed at academics and practitioners involved in the implementation of social and economic policy at local and regional levels as well as at the community of the region of Szadek. Thematic scope of published works covers natural and anthropogenic environmental issues, socio-economic development issues, as well cultural heritage in its broad sense. Bulletin of Szadek is a yearbook and has been published since 2001 by the University of Lodz in cooperation with the Municipality of Szadek. It contains reviewed articles, reports and notes. The magazine is the result of collaboration of academics from different disciplines and an important forum for an exchange of information and views on interdisciplinary knowledge of the region of Szadek.

Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Folia Litteraria Polonica belongs to the series of academic periodicals published by the University of Lodz. The first issue of the journal appeared in 1998. Folia contains studies of literature, literary theory, methodology and journalism. Independently of the periodical, individual books are published within the framework of Folia. As of January 2012, the periodical is issued as a QUARTERLY. Four numbers will be published in a year, covering various fields (journalism, literary studies and two thematic numbers). All numbers of the quarterly will be reviewed according to the double-blind review procedure.

HYBRIS - Online Philosophical Magazine

The online philosophical magazine HYBRIS published by the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Lodz in association with the Centre for Philosophical Research was created in 2001. The first two issues have been published by Bogdan Banasiak and Tomasz Sieczkowski. Since the third issue the position of the editor-in-chief had been taken up by Mateusz Oleksy. Since 2007,thanks to Mateusz Oleksy, HYBRIS has started coming out as the quarterly journal and the double-blind peer reviewing process has been started. In the autumn of 2008, after Mateusz Oleksy's tragic death, Paweł Grabarczyk and Tomasz Sieczkowski have taken up the positions of the editors-in-chief. At the moment, journal comes out as the quarterly. Since the eleventh issue, Hybris has been recognised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education list of academic periodicals.
According to the current list of the scientific periodicals, published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the period 2015-2016, Hybris’ authors are owed 9 points for their publications in our magazine. Since the twenty-fourth issue (2014) Hybris has been published in the cooperation with the Centre for Philosophical Research.
Since the first edition our magazine has been dedicated to the broadly defined philosophical subject matter. Our aim is to promote the original philosophical ideas as well as the philosophical community integration. Except from the original articles, the journal publishes interviews with a philosophers, reviews of the latest philosophical works, and translations of the little-known but still interesting philosophical texts that might be useful in a didactic process.

Intencją redakcji jest publikowanie artykułów będących wynikiem oryginalnych badań empirycznych indywidualnych i zespołowych. Jesteśmy otwarci na różne paradygmaty teoretyczne i metodologiczne. W czasopiśmie chcemy zamieszczać artykuły mieszczące się w polu nauk społecznych i humanistycznych. Czekamy na teksty odwołujące się do klasycznej i współczesnej refleksji socjologicznej, odnoszące się do wszystkich jej subdyscyplin. Zależy nam również na opracowaniach podejmujących problematykę łączącą socjologię z innymi dyscyplinami takimi jak: antropologia, etnografia, nauka o polityce, psychologia społeczna, psychosocjologia, demografia, nauka o zarządzaniu. Redakcja zaznacza jednak, że dąży do zakorzenienia profilu czasopisma w tradycji socjologicznej, stąd artykuły o takim charakterze będą miały pierwszeństwo przy decyzji o ich publikacji. Przygotowywane tomy mogą mieć charakter monograficzny bądź też być przeglądem publikacji dotyczących różnych sfer życia społecznego. Każdy tom redagowany jest przez przez osobę czuwającą nad jego poprawnością merytoryczną.

Profil merytoryczny 'Biuletynu Uniejowskiego' określa tematyka związana z regionem uniejowskim, rozumianym nie tylko w wymiarze współczesnym, ale także z uwzględnieniem historycznej roli i zasięgu oddziaływania Uniejowa. Czasopismo adresowane jest do środowiska akademickiego, praktyków zaangażowanych w realizację polityki społeczno-gospodarczej, a także do społeczności lokalnej.

European Spatial Research and Policy is an international review concerned with the problems of social and economic space organisation at a local, regional and supranational level. The journal comprising both theoretical and empirical aspects of spatial analyses is aimed at academics, policy-makers and practitioners interested in a broad range of spatial devolopment in centemporary Europe. The scope of the journal is defined by the concepts of space, environment, society and economy rather than by names of specific disciplines. Its main areas of interest include i.a. regional policy, spatial planning, European integration processes, locational studies, labour market devolopments, foreign investments, environmental problems and other crucial issues influencing the shape of contemporary and future European space. Contributions prepared by geographers and regional scientists, as well as economists, planners, architects, sociologists and historians who undertake spatial research within their respective disciplines reflect the interdisciplinary character of the review.European Spatial Research and Policy is published annually as one volume consisting of two issues and includes refereed articles, notes, commentaries, reports and book reviews. The journal, being itself a result of close academic links of scholars and universities representing different countries, is an important forum for international exchange of information and opinions in the field of spatial studies.

The magazine "Folia Litteraria Rossica" from the series "Acta Universitatis Lodziensis" has been revived after a ten-year break. In the last four years (2010-2013) there were published three issues of the magazine (in order of continuous - 3, 4, 5, 6). All materials are reviewed. Publications in Russian dominate. The composition of the Scientific Editor, Scientific Council, as well as Reviewers group is international. Each issue has three sections: Articles, Reviews, and Reports. Foreword "From the Editor" contains information for readers and prospective authors about the planned theme in the next number. On the last page of each issue is given the content of the previous number (table of contents). "Folia Litteraria Rossica" publishes articles on Russian literature and culture, as well as on issues of translating specific artistic texts; provides its columns for specialists in Russian studies from different research centers in the country and abroad; the editors also occasionally include topics of wider Slavic. The number of researchers collaborating with the magazine continues to increase, and among them the are representatives of major universities from Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Belarus. We cooperate with the Institute of Slavic Studies in Giessen and the Department of Theory of Literature Twersky State University. In terms of subject matter the first two issues of the magazine are varied; articles are mainly of Russian literature, the authors consider general issues from different periods of its development - from the eighteenth century to our contemporary times. The numbers 5 and 6 have a monographic character and bears the title “Знаки обращения к литературной традиции в творчестве классиков и современных авторов” / “References to literary tradition in the works of classic and contemporary authors”. The publication of tha monograph was made possible thanks to the considerable number of authors whose editor was able to enlist within three years of operation. The topic has been proposed in the previous issue of the journal, and aroused great interest of researchers. Therefore, the next numbers will also have a monographic character, and the articles will be subject to the title, which would include references to the literary tradition in the analysed works.

Space-Society-Economy is an academic journal in the field of socio-economic geography, space economy and spatial development, that publishes articles of Polish and foreign authors. Articles published in the journal cover wide spectrum of research join with linkages between space, society and economy. Space-Society-Economy has been published since 1991, initially under the name of “Studies and Materials” (Abstracts of Papers for the Conference, in which were published research results in various areas of science as well as papers prepared by representatives of practice, that were presented mainly at national and international conferences organized by the Department of Spatial Economy and Spatial Planning (in the years 2013-15 by the Department of Population and Services Studies). Since 2016 journal has been published as quarterly by Institute of the Built Environment and Spatial Policy (Faculty of Geographical Sciences, University of Lodz)

Folia Iuridica was established as a book series within Acta Universitatis Lodziensis in 1980. The first originator was Professor Jerzy Wróblewski. At present it is a journal edited by University of Łódź Publisher at the initiative of Dean of Faculty of Law and Administration. At the beginning Folia Iuridica presented articles of academics from Faculty of Law and Administration UŁ only. Since several years the articles are being published by all polish and foreign academics, too. Currently at the initiative of Folia Editors the articles have been grouped in the thematic structure and include not only jurisprudence issues from lawyers` point of view, but also philosophers, logicians, sociologists, psychologists, economists and at the same time becoming an interdisciplinary journal.

Acta Universitatis Lodziensis, Folia Linguistica is one of the series of scientific papers published by Lodz University. The first volume of the paper was published in 1981. Folia Linguistica was since its beginnings edited by workers of polish linguistics chair employees: The Chair of Polish Language History and The Chair of Contemporary Polish Language. Professor Marek Cybulski was for many years the editor of the paper.  The paper is an annual placed on the ministry’s list of graded papers (B list) at it was given 4 points. Each issue is reviewed according to a double-blind review model. The first version of the paper is a paper one. Folia Linguistica is a credible paper, open to different theories and points of view, showing changes in the past and contemporary polish language. Original research articles from many spheres of linguistics can be found there. We invite linguists of polish language, slavists and neophilologists from Polish and foreign universities to take part in publishing next volumes of Folia Linguistica.

Jest to czasopismo naukowe poświęcone teorii turystyki i jako takie ma charakter interdyscyplinarny. Publikowane są w nim prace przedstawicieli różnych dyscyplin naukowych zajmujących się turystyką, prezentujące rezultaty badań, rozważania teoretyczne, a także opracowania o charakterze aplikacyjnym. W „Turyzmie” wydawane są wyłącznie prace nigdzie wcześniej niepublikowane: artykuły teoretyczne, badawcze, przeglądowe oraz notatki naukowe zawierające wyniki cząstkowe oryginalnych badań empirycznych, a także recenzje, sprawozdania i głosy w dyskusji.

„Turyzm” wydawany jest nieprzerwanie od 1985 r. W latach 1985–1990 publikowany był raz w roku w serii wydawniczej „Acta Universitatis Lodziensis” (7 zeszytów). Od 1991 r. „Turyzm” był czasopismem ukazującym się dwa razy w roku (w latach 1991–2000 wydano 20 zeszytów w ramach 10 tomów). W dziesięcioleciu 1991–2000 artykuły zawierały streszczenia w języku francuskim i angielskim. Od 2001 roku czasopismo o nazwie "Turyzm/Tourism" jest dwujęzyczne (język polski i angielski).

Acta Universitatis Lodziensis. Geographica Physica“ is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the University of Lodz since 1997. From 2013, the journal is an annual. The thematic scope of published papers covers various fields of physical geography, landscape ecology, geomorphology,  other environment-related studies,  including research in human-environment interaction, some aspects of quaternary geology, geophysics – mainly atmospheric physics, and GIS applications in environmental studies. The journal publishes scientific papers, presenting the results of original empirical, theoretical, technical or analytical research. Besides, other types of works appear: short scientific reports, conference materials, research resource reviews, as well as memoirs and reports on important events in the world of physical geography and related disciplines.

The profile of the journal is determined by the perspective of integral analysis of educational phenomena emerging from the humanities, social sciences and pedagogical specialties, as well as highlighting the requirement of thinking about the problems of education in a comprehensive manner. Thus, our intention is that the journal should initiate a discussion on such overview of educational phenomena and participate in promoting reflection on educational sciences and their institutionalization.

Acting as an interdisciplinary space for the exchange of ideas, research and experiences, the journal will take into account these aspects of practicability of pedagogy that require a high level of reflectivity. Its mission is to focus the attention on the multidimensional, interdisciplinary reflection on the problem content of educational sciences and its critical variants, as well as the continuous expansion of the perspectives of the analysis of educational matters.

We intend to shape this journal, together with all persons dealing with application possibilities of pedagogical concepts and theories, as well as logical-philosophical, anthropological, sociological, psychological and methodological approaches for the development of an integrated view on educational sciences. It is addressed particularly to those authors who embrace educational sciences issues in a holistic way.

An important aspect of shaping the profile of the journal will be equipping it with international dimension by channeling calls to the authors from abroad who take interest in the issues of educational sciences as well as foreign reviewers.

Collectanea Philologica

Collectanea Philologica

Collectanea Philologica publishes articles and book reviews concerning ancient Greek and Roman culture and its reception. The research material is divided into three sections: Greek Studies, Latin Studies and Classical Reception. The topics of the papers consider various fields of literature, language, history, and philosophy of the ancient world and the reception of antiquity in modern culture. A separate section is dedicated to reviews. Collectanea Philologica publishes articles of excellent Polish and foreign authors in the disciplines of Humanities as well as of young scholars such as PhD students.
