Buk’a medresa u Mostaru

Buk’a medresa u Mostaru

Author(s): Alija Dilberović / Language(s): Bosnian Issue: 17/2018

During the Ottoman rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina, educational institutions bearing the name buq´a were raised. One such buq´a was also in Mostar. About this school was written by Hivzija Hasandedić, followed by other researchers who dealt with the educational institutions of the city. However, it is unknown when this institution was erected and whose endowment was. A transcript of the waqfnama of the Mostars buq´a was found in a manuscript in the collection of oriental manuscripts of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. Based on the waqfnama, information about the construction period, the builder, the character of the school and other details related to its material support can be found. This waqfnama can contribute to the study of the history of education and educational institutions in Mostar, but also to the general study of these lesser known educational institutions that were raised in our country during the Ottoman period.

Между земното и сакралното: катедрали, мощи и духовни водачи в градския живот на Южна Италия през XI – XII век

Author(s): Georgi Dimov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 6/2016

In the medieval urban life of southern Italy the Church was at the core of the city‘s make-up: it dictated the community‘s accepted belief system; it sculpted the streets and squares with its buildings and dominated the skyline with its cathedral (Duomo); its wealth percolated through the urban economy; its officials provided guidance, both spiritual and political, and through its ceremonies it offered a framework in which the urban community could socially commune. The city and the Church in medieval southern Italy very much merged into, and were reliant on, each other, no doubt much to the chagrin of some of the more radical Church reformers of the day.

Author(s): Evdokiya Petkova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3/2019

One of the problems of modern pedagogy is the declining interest of students to learn and gain knowledge. This is especially noticeable in technical subjects. For this reason it is necessary to find an appropriate mechanism to encourage student motivation so it can be purposefully influenced which will allow teachers to effectively manage the learning process. By using pedagogical and psychological mechanisms for motivation teachers can improve the quality of the learning process as well as its outcomes. This mechanism needs to constantly be improved, however, because modern young people change and technologies develop. The purpose of the present study is to implement an advanced motivational didactic model, including new technologies, techniques and teaching didactic materials in Engineering Graphics in order to increase the quality of student training. The study results on the level of Academic motivation were compared with those from a previous study based on the primary model. The results obtained show that the degree of academic motivation for both groups studied has a very good level of development.

A REFLECTION ON THE CITIZENS’ ATTITUDES TO THE POLITICAL SITUATION (AND THEIR CREATIVE RENDITIONS) In Memoriam of Ján Kuciak and Martina Kušnírová

Author(s): Katarína Fichnová,Lukasz Pawel Wojciechowski,Peter Szabo / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

The primary aim of the article is to identify the degree of creativity in the expressive means employed by citizens showing their attitudes to the current political situation. Other aims of the text include the identification of rhetorical, linguistic and stylistic resources and explicit and implicit inspirations related to art present in the recorded messages. The authors address three research questions arising from the above-mentioned aims. The research material consists of photographs of 203 different messages in the form of banners, scale models, models, ready-made, objet trouvé, performances and other textual and/or visual representations displayed during the protest held on 16th March 2018 on the SNP Square in Bratislava, which was held after the brutal murder of Slovak investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová. The authors use a modified method of content and image analysis and product creativity evaluation. The data is analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively, i.e. via triangulation approach. In the concluding part of the study, the authors discuss the available options in connection with the use of banners and other messages as a means of self-expression and manifestation of commitment, political activism and civic engagement. The most creative messages have the greatest potential to be multiplied through social networks and thus transmit the intended message in a more efficient way.
