Процесът на деинституционализация на домовете за деца

Author(s): Ivan S. Stoyanov / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2014

It is considered that the child care reform in Bulgaria has started in 1991, when the country ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. In reality however this reform has actually started about ten years later, following a rather critical report of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The purpose of the reform may be defined as a change of the stereotyped approach towards identification of the need of children at risk and the collectively organized method of work for individualization and placing the best interest of every child in the core of the social intervention. Considering the current tendencies in Europe, in Bulgaria the alternative services for children in risk may also be differentiated into two main groups: services in support of the family and services that substitute the family.

Author(s): Hristo Hinkov,Zahari Zarkov,Vladimir Nakov,Rumyana Dinolova,Mihail Okoliyski,Stefani Nikolova,Maya Liutskanova,Aleksander Kiossev / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 53/2020

This article aims to examine the impact of the epidemic on the mental health of the citizens of Bulgaria in terms of communicational aspects in crisis management, crisis response and the possible long-term psychological consequences. The authors formulate three hypotheses, namely whether the epidemic has increased the levels of anxiety amongst the population, whether there are increased levels of aggression and selfaggression and how the informational environment has affected these processes. Several prerequisites explaining the reaction that the pandemic caused are outlined. An attempt has been made to measure elevated levels of general anxiety, which includes both normal psychological reactions to troubling events and pathological, currently hidden forms of anxiety. In the created proxy model, the increased general anxiety was compared with an analysis of the informational and media environment covering the topic of COVID-19. Correlations were sought in order to interpret the collected data on the subject.

Author(s): Ilonka Kovacheva / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2016

Mental health is defined as a state of being in which individuals are aware of their skills, are able to cope with normal stress in life, their labor isproductive and they contribute to the welfare of the community. Dependencies between personal status - age, sex, marital status, number of children, income level and their job satisfaction, life satisfaction, subjective happiness and well-being are explored. The results showed that gender has extremely weak influence on job satisfaction. No dependence has been detected between the marital status and the explored parameters of the respondents. A connection between the satisfaction index and the number of children in the family was discovered. The highest values of positive relationships, life goals, sense of independence and job satisfaction belong to people with three children; those with two children have lower values and persons with one child or no children have the lowest and very similar values. It was found that the degree of job satisfaction does not affect mental well-being. Respondents generally appreciate life in a positive light and have a high result on the scale of mental well-being. A conclusion is made that the cognitive component of life satisfaction and the affective component happiness and subjective well-being are determined by different conditions.

Психологически трудности на левите ни идеолози

Author(s): Martin Tabakov / Language(s): English,Bulgarian Issue: 3/2018

The consistent and logical assessment for the so-called “Socialist system” is „state Capitalism“ and all Marxist tenets about Capitalism -- class, class struggle, exploitation, nepotism, comprador bourgeoisie….should be applied to this system. Also the consistent and logical Marxist assessment of the actions of “Czarist Rus-sia" and USSR to Bulgaria would be being imperialistic. But although until 1940 Bulgarian Marxists sharply criticized „Czarist Russia“, Bulgarian Left today find it difficult to make such assessments. The reasons are not theoretical but psychological. As consecutive Marxists, they should come to uncomfortable conclusions about the System and about „Czarist Russia“ and USSR But for biographical reasons they have a deep personal sympathy for them. They believe that their prosperity has behaved to the "System", which in turn is the result of the occupation of Bulgaria from the USSR. And any negative assessment would be for them the attempt to destroy the world they have created and believe that this world was real, and challenging their value system. And often prefer to ignore all facts and logical analyzes, but to maintain their mental balance and to live in their artificial but beautiful world.
