This develop-mental theory is a starting point for the structural model of Ms. Felice Affolter. This article justifies that our environment provides many impulse impression and that today our children grow up in a sensible environ-ment. The changed in life situation, technology and civilization leads to a depletion of stimuli, which allow the children to have immediate and comprehensible experiences. The basis of the article are the theories of Piaget, Affolter and Dornes and the processing of all sensory information according to Ayres. The author hopes thereby a varied knowledge gain.

The Realisation of the Modus Vivideni – its Protagonists and their Conflicts in the Diocese of Rožňava

Realizácia Modu vivendi – aktéri a rozpory v Rožňavskej diecéze

Author(s): Peter Olexák,Stanislav Žlnay / Language(s): Slovak / Issue: 4/2021

Keywords: Diocese of Rožňava; Michal Bubnič; Pavol Jantausch; Andrej Cvinček; Kamil Krofta;

The paper deals with the management of personnel and the economic administration of the Rožňava diocese after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918 and the attempt to abolish the bishopric itself. A focus is being laid on the actions of the main characters to whom belonged the Rožňava diocesan administrator bishop Michal Bubnič, the Trnava apostolic administrator Pavol Jantausch, the Nitra canon Andrej Cvinček and the vice minister of foreign affairs Kamil Krofta. Even though the issue of the territorial consolidation was part of the Modus vivendi which came into effect in 1928, it had to be solved for another decade because of enduring tensions between the church and the state. This paper casts a light on the less known relationship between these two protagonists in the interwar period and emphasizes the agility of the Czechoslovakian diplomacy that aimed to abolish the diocese as an entity, but also wants to explore the inner-ecclesiastical environment and the relationships of the church representatives in Slovakia in the years from 1918 to 1938.

To Reflect the Transformations of Contemporary European Society in Christian Life

To Reflect the Transformations of Contemporary European Society in Christian Life

K odrazu premien súčasnej európskej spoločnosti v živote kresťana

Author(s): Jozef Králik,Kristína Králiková / Language(s): Slovak / Issue: 1/2022

Keywords: Christianity; Islam; State; Slovak Republic; European Union;

The majority population of the Slovak Republic professes Christianity. It has been a part of the Slovak statehood and society since the existence of Nitra Principality to the present. The Christianity accompanied the Slovaks through the Great Moravian Empire, the Kingdom of Hungary, Austrian Empire, Czechoslovakia. However, the qualitative parameters of the clergy and finally the position of Christians are changing more and more in the current Slovak society integrated into the European Union. Especially under the pressure of the aggressively promoting so-called liberalism. This raises the question of whether it is better to prioritize the authoritarian and Christian-based functioning of the state or to favor a liberal-democratic constitution with a growing dictatorship that tends to have full control over European nations and resigns in the interests of European civilization. The ideology of Islam thus stealthily creeps into the Christian states of Europe. Convergent to this state, we drafted the text of the paper. Based on an analysis of the current state of European society, the contribution concludes with the hypothesis that changes in contemporary European society have a significant impact on the lives of Christians in the Slovak Republic and in the European Union.

Mediálna gramotnosť v systéme iných gramotností – mediálna výchova ako nástroj nadobúdania čitateľskej gramotnosti

Author(s): Petra Polievková,Pavel Izrael,Jaroslava Matláková / Language(s): Slovak / Issue: 2/2022

Keywords: Cross-curricular theme; Functional literacy; Media education; Media literacy; Reading literacy;

In the introduction of the report, the authors emphasise the need for conceptual training of teachers, which is perceived as a prerequisite for didactically and methodically mastered implementation of media education as a cross-curricular theme across all the educational areas. In the framework of the report, a reference to the Slovak educational system is made, which does not perceive the media education as a separate subject, but as a so called cross-curricular theme. In the next part of the report the team of authors indicate the relationship between media literacy and other (relevant) types of literacy. It draws attention to the opportunity to perceive media education as an effective tool for acquiring reading literacy (primarily within lower secondary education). The more practical part of the report focuses on the concretisation of proposals for such integration of media education into the core subjects that it seems beneficial not only for expanding the knowledge (of media and core subject area), but also for the development of reading literacy.
