Summary/Abstract: This article, in its first part, presents the threats resulting from excessive use of multimedia tools by children and adolescents. Unfortunately, families are still unaware of how destructive the impact of these tools on their children can be, how often using them can transform into a dangerous addiction. The author of the article illustrates this alarming phenomenon with many examples. The second part of the article is dedicated to suggestions of other activities for children and adolescents than using multimedia. The aim of the article is to encourage parents, teachers, and educators, as well as persons important for the socialization of a child to seek alternative ways to develop the child’s personality, knowledge, practical skills, and competencies apart from multmedia tools.
