Summary/Abstract: The border river landscape of the Morava River floodplain near villages Mikulčice (Czechia) and Kopčany (Slovakia) witnessed the existence of the metropolitan center of the first common state of Czechs and Slovaks in the 9th century AD. The establishment of a cross-border archaeological park is planned in the floodplain. The paper demonstrates sources of finding selected geographical data on the ancient landscape, which would contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the archaeological park and its educational effect. Based on these, landscape modifications are proposed and localized in the area.
