Procjena uloge historijskih mitova u modernim društvima

Kad objašnjavaju kako je došlo do izbijanja nedavnih ratova u bivšoj Jugoslaviji, mnogi autori spominju pogubne efekte historijskih mitova u tom regionu. Ti se mitovi često pripisuju specifi čnom balkanskom mentalitetu, te se smatra - eksplicitno ili implicitno - da je Balkan zaražen tim mitovima u većoj mjeri od drugih dijelova Evrope. Prihvatam prvo, ali ne i drugo stanovište. Postoje jaki dokazi da su mitologizirane verzije prošlosti doista utjecale na mišljenje mnogih građana bivše Jugoslavije i navele ih da prihvate ratne pokliče svojih vođa. To je, zapravo, i razlog što smo odlučili organizirati ovu konferenciju. Ali, ta sklonost nije, vjerujem, obilježje balkanske kulture kao takve.

Tradicijski nakit u Hrvata u okolici Kraljeve Sutjeske

Tradicijski nakit Hrvata u okolici Kraljeve Sutjeske ističe se brojnošću ukrasnih predmeta, različitošću materijala i načinima izrade. Nakit Hrvata iz ovoga kraja nudi široku paletu ukrasnih predmeta koje osim funkcije ukrašavanja imaju veoma važno imanentno značenje za članove obitelji i šire lokalne zajednice. To je ono značenje koje pojedini nakitni predmeti imaju u zaštitničkoj funkciji tumačen zbog korištenja određene boje ili korištenju određenih simbola kod izrade, ali i zbog uloge sredstva komunikacije unutar zajednice. Riječju tradicijski označavaju se ukrasni predmeti koje promatramo kao općeprihvaćene u prošlosti. Prošlost koju možemo promatrati kod nakita, za razliku od odjeće, duža je zbog trajnosti materijala od kojih su izrađeni i lakoće kojom se čuvaju i prenose. Ipak, kada se govori o preciznijem datiranju tradicijskog nakita u okolici Kraljeve Sutjeske uz izvore kojima se raspolaže, može se govoriti o cijelom XIX. i prvoj polovici XX. stoljeća. Naime, nema posebnih radova niti izvora koji bi mogli potvrditi povijesno dulje razdoblje u upotrebi nakita, osobito u otomansko vrijeme. U novije vrijeme, od druge polovice XX. stoljeća do danas, sačuvana je forma kao i dijelovi ukrasa kakvi su nastali u ranijem stoljeću. Termin narodni nisam koristio zbog toga što se pod ovim terminom u etnologiji najčeš će govorilo o seoskom stanovništvu kao nositelju tradicije, dok je gradsko stanovništvo, zbog svojih veza sa drugim sredinama, bilo promatrano kao zasebno.

O potrzebie tabu w sztuce nowych mediów. Od rytuału przejścia do ustanawiania agendy

The paper aims at tackling the problem which manifests itself intensely in new media art, interactive art, and bioart in particular; precisely, as artists challenge various barriers and limits affecting social, spiritual, and bodily life of the contemporary human being, the recipient‑interactor, paradoxically, tends to long for taboo, sacrum, and beauty. Consequently, diverse strategies and activities undertaken by the cultural institutions – on the example of Ars Electronica festival in Linz – are analysed. Following this, the paper poses a hypothesis that what is in fact tabooed is the role of the organisation introducing new media trends and holding events concerning them; Ars Electronica is not only an institution oriented at research, and cultural and artistic practices, but also one which serves educational, entertaining, and business purposes. In fact, it is a gatekeeper transmitting messages, a stimulant to investigations and artistic activities, and a trendsetter cultivating pro‑technological attitudes and mass fashions, such as: participating in social media, cyberactivism, accepting technological extensions of the body and genetic modifications. The paper ponders upon the possibility of applying the agenda‑setting theory to the institutions which operate on the intersection of art, science, education, industry, and promotion of new technologies. The analysis proposed – concerning cultural taboo – is also broadly related to the issues of the anthropological perspective and understanding taboos in oral cultures, since it is a taboo which provides a significant context for contemporary cyberculture; a taboo, after all, is perceived as secondary orality, to use Walter J. Ong’s term.

„Druga Tita rodila je vila". Kako se pevalo (o) Titu

Article addresses controversies of Tito’s musical persona in public discourse by examining two dominant narratives lines: the representations in the socalled Yugoslav folklore - the most important official genre for creating his mythical image and the representations of Tito as multisided musical persona particularly in the realm of popular music. Based on the analysis of songbooks from the period of World War II and those published after it, the paper deals with the ways in which the Tito’s public persona is created in accordance with the dominant narratives about the new socialist popular culture. Through analysis of their textual and musical content, it examines the ambivalent narratives in the creation of his public image: while the „institutionalized folklore" was seen as a appropriate genre for his representation in the public sphere, its commercial version, newly-composed folk music is not Tito's image of the classless, timeless and mythical figure is also used as a link between the mediating figure which provides the desired harmony between „new" and „old", tradition and modernization, but still strongly associated with the „elite" genres and established artists.

Söz konusu kavramın Sosyolojik Etnoloji Sözlüğü içinde farklı dillerdeki karşılıkları (Alm. Blutrache, Fr. Vendatte, Ing. Blood vengeance) verildikten sonra kavram “Aile üyelerinden, akrabalardan ve cemaat üyelerinden birini öldüren kimseyi ya da onun ailesinden, akrabalarından, cemaatından birini öldürmek suretiyle öç alma…” (Veyis, 1971, s.130) şeklinde tanımlanır.

История изучения женского металлического убора круга «древностей антов»

The paper identifies four stages of study of the women’s set of adornments and attire items existed in the Middle Dnieper and the Dnieper Left Bank region at the beginning of the Early Middle Ages. This set was reflected in hoards of the so-called antiquities of the Antae. At the first stage (end of the 19th century — 1920s), the accumulation and initial interpretation of the material took place. At the second stage (1930—1950s), “antiquities of the Antae” were considered mainly in the context of global ethnic and cultural and historical reconstructions. At the third stage (1960—1980s), Early Slavic sites were discovered in the Dnieper region. Women’s adornments and costume accessories were attracted to characterize the material culture of the early Slavic population. The modern fourth stage began in 1990s. Its distinctive feature is the formation of the concept on women's attire as an original historical source. Analysis of this source allows us to take a fresh look at some key points in the history of the Dnieper region at the end of the Migration Period.

Регионални измерения на православната менталност: град Самоков

The article examines the dedication of the main thrones (nomination) of several churches in Samokov: the Metropolitan Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God, „Babite – The Protection of the Mother of God” Convent, Dolna Mahala’s church of the Most Holy Mother of God, the Belyova church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. The town's cemetery church is dedicated to St. Nicholas, the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Myra.The chronological frameworks of the study are limited from the beginning of the 17th century to the end of the 19th century (with some exceptions - for example, the Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Maritsa (15th-16th century), the Belyova church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (end of 4th century). Most of the churches in Samokov are built on old temples, which the patrons have known, but have probably changed over the centuries. It is suggested that each of the dedications that give the name of the temple achieve a certain spiritual need of the community that has initiated the construction of the temple. The model of organization of the sacred space of the town of Samokov is "The Virgin Mary - St. Nicholas", as the Virgin Mary nominates our world, the world of the living, and St. Nicholas - the afterworld, the world of the dead. The main thesis of the text states that the metropolitan center of Samokov, with its system of churches, monasteries, metropolises and chapels, has influenced the villages of the Samokov region and has played the role of a peculiar model.

Göçün Halk İnanışları Üzerine Etkileri: Anadolu Örneği

Anadolu gerek jeopolitik konumu itibarıyla gerekse topraklarının verimli olması sebebiyle her dönemde önemini korumuş topraklardır. Tarih boyunca birçok kültürün içinde yer bulduğu bu topraklar çeşitli dinî inanışlar için de önemli olmuş ve günümüzde de önemini korumaya devam edegelmiştir. Doğu kökenli din mensuplarının batıya yönelişleri esnasında bu dinî inanışların Anadolu’da yaşayan topluluklar arasında taraftar buldukları bilindiği gibi batı kaynaklı pagan inanışları için de bu toprakların kabul görülen bir yer olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Çeşitli nedenlerle yapılan göçler ve Anadolu’ya yerleşimler neticesinde topluluklar arasında dinî ve kültürel etkileşimler kaçınılmaz olmuştur. Örneğin, kaynaklarda MÖ.3000 yıllarında yaşamış olan Sümerler ile ilgili arkeolojik ve yazınsal kaynaklarda onların, doğuda Hindis-tan’dan, kuzeyde Anadolu, Kafkaslar ve Orta Asya’nın batı bölgelerinden Akdeniz ve Mısır, Etiyopya’ya kadar uzanan topraklarla ticari ve kültürel ilişkileri olduğu bilinmektedir (Kramer, 2016: 374). Süreç içerisinde gerek toplumların dinî inanışlarının değişimi ve gerekse kendi inançlarını yaşarken insanların birbirleriyle olan iletişim ve etkileşimleri sebebiyle bir dinî inancın diğer dinî inançlara sahip olan insanlar üzerinde etkisi olmaktadır. Bu etkiler bazen direkt olabildiği gibi bazen de mevcut dinî inanç içinde form değişti-rerek varlığını devam ettirmektedir. Anadolu inançlarının pagan topluluklar döneminden bugüne kadarki inançsal tarihî seyri incelendiğinde Sümerler gibi her alanda gelişmiş bir topluluğun Anadolu’da yaşayan toplumlar üzerinde de etkili olduğu ifade edilebilir. Bu bağlamda küreselleşme kavramının günümüz için değil eski dönemlerden itibaren varlığını sürdürdüğünü söylemek yanlış olmayacaktır. Bir topluluğun göç etmesi, mevcut kültürünü de göç ettiği topraklara taşıması anlamına gelmektedir. Bir topluluğun kültürünün başka bir bölgeye taşınması, farklı kültürel özelliklerin bir araya toplanması ile kültürel melezlik meydana getirmektedir. Bu durum, toplumların hem olumlu hem de olumsuz etkilenmelerine sebep olmaktadır. Aynı topraklarda yaşayan toplulukların benzer dinî inanç ve uygulamaları, bu toplulukları kültürel bağdaşıklık şeklinde genişleterek yeniden konumlandırmaktadır (Plüss, 2012: 296). Bir dinin mensupları, göç ile sadece karşılaştıkları yeni kültürün unsurlarını sahip oldukları kültürlerine katmamakta, mevcut kültürlerini korumak için de kendi inançlarının ilke ve ritüellerini yeniden düzenleyerek ve anlamlandırarak geleneklerini dolaylı şekilde dönüştürmektedirler. Bu değişim, hem aslolan kültürün korunmasını ve devamını sağlamakta hem de yeni kültürle uyumlu yaşamayı sağlamaktadır. Buna karşın yeni bir kültür içerisinde mevcut kültürün değişmeden, dinî metin, uygulama ve liderlerin kesin yanılmazlığı ilkesi ile kalması, mevcut kültürün değişmeden korunmasına sebep olmaktadır. Fakat beraberinde aynı topraklar üzerinde yaşayan farklı kültürdeki insanlar arasında ayrışmalara da sebep olmaktadır. Bu durumda göç eden topluluk, kendi kültürünü değiştirmeden korumakta fakat etkileşime geçtiği yeni kültür içerisinde azınlık durumundan kurtulamamaktadır. Göçmen topluluklar, bu sıkışıklık içerisinde çözümler üretmek yoluna giderek içinde bulundukları yeni kültürün iletişim, eğitim, sosyal ilişkiler gibi alanlarına adapte olmakta inanç, dinî ritüel gibi temel kültürel özellikler ko-nusunda ise daha muhafazakar bir yöntem izlemektedirler. Bu yaklaşım tarzı, hayatın her alanındaki imkanları kullanma noktasında kolaylıklar sağlamıştır ki Türklerin kabul ettikleri her dinî inançta bu yöntemi göz önünde bulundurdukları ifade edilebilir.
