О ПРИНЦИПАХ ОРГАНИЗАЦИИ СИСТЕМ В МЕТОДОЛОГИИ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ ПРАВОВОЙ СИСТЕМЫ ОБЩЕСТВА

Author(s): Aidar Rushanovich Gubaydullin / Language(s): Russian Issue: 6/2015

The study is focused on some peculiarities of the main principles of organization of the legal system of society, including the problem of comprehending its general function. The basic principles of organization are the following: compatibility, actualization of functions, neutralization of dysfunctions, concentration of functions, and labialization of functions. The place of these principles in the methodology of research on the legal system is determined. The methodological importance of each principle is considered. The principle of compatibility allows to outline the scope of elements of the legal system. The principle of actualization of functions of the legal system shows the evolution of existing properties of the legal system. The principle of neutralization of dysfunctions of the legal system demonstrates resistance of the system to negative phenomena. The principle of concentration of functions permits to understand the hierarchy of functions of the legal system. The principle of labialization of functions of the legal system shows the change in the ratio of development and functioning of the legal system at different stages of development.

ТЕОРИЯ ТЕКСТА В РАБОТАХ РОЛАНА БАРТА И ЖАКА ДЕРРИДА: ГЕНДЕРНЫЙ АСПЕКТ

Author(s): Anton Sergeevich Afanasev / Language(s): Russian Issue: 1/2016

The paper is devoted to the important problem of contemporary humanitarian knowledge, such as development of the methodology for analysis of the literary text in gender perspective. The subject of analysis is the theory of text organization, which was set out in the articles of R. Barthes “The Pleasure of Text” (1973) and J. Derrida “Spurs: Nietzsche’s Styles” (1978). These works of the French scientists, according to our opinion, provide theoretical backgrounds of the above-stated methodology. In both cases, the notion of “women’s letter” is not associated by literary critics with the biological gender of the person who created the text, thereby being rather the result and projection of the author’s consciousness. The analysis revealed that R. Barthes considers physicality and poetics of rupture as characteristics of “women’s writing”. According to R. Barthes, the text is the body (and the body is the text) possessing integrity. However, the reader finds pleasure in the text due to the tear, infringement of its integrity, as well as implications. J. Derrida speaks about its unconscious character, plurality, and parody. Femininity is understood by him in another way, i.e., as allowing to work with the reality, exposing and destroying the traditional cultural stereotypes.

Author(s): Guido Roijen,Jol Stoffers,Roland de Vries / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2017

High Performance Organization (HPO) characteristics indicate why an organization is able to achieve significantly better results than other organizations and these characteristics can facilitate associations to optimize employees’ work outcomes. The independent professional (IP) is an increasingly occurring phenomenon in the labor market that fulfills an organizations’ need for flexibility in knowledge productivity. This study focuses on the contribution of HPO characteristics to the knowledge productivity of IP's. It was conducted among managers and HRM professionals in various Dutch knowledge-intensive organizations that frequently enlist the services of IPs. This study found a number of HPO attributes that appeared to contribute to the IPs' knowledge productivity, namely the quality of management, an open and action-focused organizational culture, and continual improvement and innovation. We will use these results to look ahead and consider the future consequences for professional practice. Managers and HRM professionals should strive to contribute to the incorporation of these characteristics within the organization in order to safeguard and enhance knowledge productivity of independent professionals.

Ethics Perception in Business and Social Practice in the Czech Republic

Author(s): Petra Horváthová,Martin Černek,Kateřina Kashi / Language(s): English Issue: 30/2014

Business ethics, as a part of so called applied ethics, has been dynamically gaining on importance. Pushing the idea of applying ethics in the Czech business environment has started in the mid- 90s of 20th century. Since that time the business ethics has made a huge progress and its Czech representatives and promoters have done a significant amount of work in this area. On the other hand, it is necessary to objectively admit, that there are still many managers, businessmen, students and people who have doubts about the legitimacy of business ethics and they consider it as unreal and illusory in the market environment. Therefore, main objective of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge, understanding, current status, level of perception’s awareness of ethics and morality in business and social spheres based on both theoretical analysis and resource bases, and own empirical research.

Literaturoznawstwo jako nauka. Nowe szanse, stare zagrożenia

Author(s): Andrzej Skrendo / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2017

Skrendo explores the scientific status of research in the humanities. Looking at the problem from a historical perspective, he reaches back to the anti-positivist turn and argues that the transformation that began at that time was about finding a common ground for all sciences. From a theoretical perspective, Skrendo’s argument draws on constructivist approaches, broadly understood, from Fleck and Kuhn to Luhmann and Latour. These researchers help us develop non-positivist approaches to the humanities’ scientific assumptions and goals.

Etnografia i eksperymenty artystyczne. O powstawaniu nowych pól poznawczych we współczesnej antropologii

Author(s): Tomasz Rakowski / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2017

To what extent is it possible, in the humanities, to frame research in terms of pre-textual and non-textual ways of reading? Following the textual turn, which is mostly associated with semiotics as well as descriptive and interpretive orientations, ethnography is returning to more source-based and immediate endeavours. This is, however, a return to very demanding and uncertain methods, which are only now being examined, unearthed and tested. They emerged against the backdrop of the ontological turn in contemporary anthropology and the practical and action-based turn in the social sciences. In the research team that I direct, we are developing a definition of a creative ethnography that has the potential to create openings; although linked to the anthropology of art, it is also able to propose new languages and ways of grasping cultural facts. Thus I aim to outline a possible path for anthropology, where its unique ‘developmental cycle’ parallels the ontological turn and the action-based turn. A particularly important role in this development falls to the artistic experiment as a way of creating a new field of research and of reaching towards unforeseeable research situations.

Praktyki kontrfaktualne w narracjach naukowych i fikcjonalnych

Author(s): Małgorzata Sugiera / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2017

This article deals with counter-factual practices in history and the historical novel (whose production has increased in the last few years, and which presents alternative versions of the past), as well as in areas where the humanities and the natural or exact sciences intersect with works of literary fiction that incorporate elements of science fiction. Based on a selection of mockumentary works by respected academics from various disciplines, Sugiera demonstrates the essential function that these practices have in undermining the objectivity of academic discourses and in highlighting the fact that knowledge is situated.

W sprawie polityczności polskiej humanistyki

Author(s): Michał Kuziak / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2017

How political are the humanities in Poland today? Kuziak examines the possibilities and limitations of this question in the discourse of humanities scholars. He focuses on the formula ‘reading Poland’ that reappears in these discourses, but also on projects of possible otherness and rescue history. The humanities’ political nature is shown to legitimize scholarly discourses in that it connects them to history and society.

Naukowiec czy artysta? Polskie interpretacje poglądów Marshalla McLuhana

Author(s): Kalina Kukiełko / Language(s): Polish Issue: 03/2013

The main aim of this article is to present interpretations of Marshall McLuhan’s views made by Polish scholars and commentators. In Poland, long‐term discussion concerning McLuhan’s hypotheses has been reduced mainly to the question of their “artistic” or “scientific” character. Among Polish polemicists, the controversial Canadian has found scrupulous critics as well as ardent followers. Both were astonished by his extraordinary erudition and practically boundless areas of interests. However, there is still no certainty as regards whether we should see McLuhan’s texts as strict scientific publications or rather as a kind of attractive artistic commentary.

Miejsce folkloru w konstruowaniu współczesnego świata

Miejsce folkloru w konstruowaniu współczesnego świata

Author(s): Jan Kajfosz / Language(s): Polish Issue: 03/2012

The paper answers the question, how folkloristic narrations participate in the social construction of reality. The notion of folklore relates here - in accordance with propositions of P.G. Bogatyrev and R. Jakobson – to poetic texts aimed at la langue. Such texts are conventional in the sense that their semantic structures are broadly reproduced inside one communicative society. Habitualisation based on more or less accurate repeatability of stereotypical representations, motives, action scenarios, rationalisations and motivations, is the source of relatively stabile world image. Folkloristic texts participate this way in constitution of experiences, beliefs and cognitive (noetic and behavioral) habitsof its agents. In the folkloristic creativity the collective images of the past which legitimize changing social institutions are very often unnoticed adjusted to such changes. Hence, narratives reproduced within a society which are considered by its members as memorates are very often fabulated. The author focuses especially on connotation which seems to be crucial for “tacit“ legitimizations of various phenomena. He follows diverse reciprocal legitimizations between representations in folkloristic narratives and representations spread by media.

Sprawczość w fabryce porcelany

Author(s): Ewa Klekot / Language(s): Polish Issue: 02/2017

Ethnography of a porcelain factory is one of the main components of a research project called “People from the porcelain factory”. The project is carried out in the porcelain factory in Ćmielów, Poland, owned by PolskieFabrykiPorcelany “Ćmielów” i “Chodzież” S.A. The project consists of anthropological research (design anthropology and workplace anthropology) and an artistic intervention in the field. The intervention entails manufacturing Human Trace tableware set and exhibiting it both in the factory and outside, to the audience interested in design. The fieldwork in the factory allowed the author to interact with various actors of manufacturing process – both in a more observational mode of ethnography and a more participatory one during the tableware production. Witnessing the process of material transformation of raw material into a porcelain vessel was also fascinating. The article points at the role of different modes of knowing and various skills necessary for porcelain ware production and focuses on evaluation of different ways of knowing, skills and cognition.

Plątanina linii, blokowość i linearność

Author(s): Paweł Lasota,Magdalena Mosiejuk / Language(s): Polish Issue: 02/2017

The article is a consideration of differences between block thinking (blocks, compositions) and line thinking (movement, knots). It is also an attempt to describe the experience of working with a robot as a new project practice in which we ponder: is a robot as a designer's tool closer to the experience of craftsmanship, or to the modern practice of computer-assisted design? It is also a description of our final project "Knotty" involving translating the technique of knitting into the language (movement) of a robot, being the practical answer to the questions and theoretical problems stated above.

Методолошки проблеми етностатистичке евиденције и етнодемографских пруочавања становништва Србије

Author(s): Aleksandar Knežević / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 8/2011

During the twentieth century, the ethnic structure of the Serbia was not always statistical clear, primarily due to the strong influence of national policies; in the Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenians/Yugoslavia through the idea of Yugoslav unitary; after II World War through in socialistic Yugoslavia with usage “the new methodological solutions”; and national politics from the end of the twentieth century, which is current today. Nationality structure study of population of Serbia according to the census must include the fact that only the number of national “declared” is available in statistical sources, which may not always coincide with ethnic origin. This indicates at the influence of various factors on the national determination, such as socio-cultural, political, integration, economic, and religious factors. The strictly usage of subjective criteria had the negative impact on the accuracy of census results, because it had enabled oscillations in the number of certain ethnic communities. Inconsistency of native language and nationality declared population in Serbia often occurs as a result unpredictable behavior of certain ethnic groups in census declaration, but also due the assimilation processes – in cases that some ethnic groups are accepted other language. Vital statistics at this period, as the censuses, was under the influence of methodological changes too, especially at the period 1965-1970; probably because of ideological reasons, it was stopped recording and publication of vital events by ethnicity, which makes more difficult all ethno-demographic researches. The main disadvantage of the current methodology for registration and publication of vital events by ethnicity is the fact that existing data is distributed only by the nationality of the mother.

Analysis of the Online Media Reactions to the Government’s Annual National Security Report for 2016

Author(s): Konstantin Pavlov / Language(s): English Issue: 49/2018

This paper analyzes the media and political reactions in Bulgarian online media to the Government’s 2016 Annual Report on the State of National Security of the Republic of Bulgaria, subsequently approved by Parliament, in the period from 1 September to 30 November 2017. References to the Report were subjected to content analysis according to the timeline of the reactions and the intensity of their occurrence, according to the different categories of institutional and non-institutional speakers, as well as according to the basic messages they were carrying. The findings show a strong disproportion in the representation of different opinions and the lack of public debate on the subject. From the very beginning of the researched period, there was a visible disparity between the dynamic of reactions to the Report and their media coverage. Media attention was almost exclusively focused on the passages in the Report describing the role of Russia for Bulgaria’s national security, which were the most debated political issue on this topic. It is highly likely that the next national security topic that will get extensive coverage will revolve around the state of security in the Black Sea.
