Author(s): Boryana Zdravkova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2015

The study attempts to carry out a more in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the issue of social pedagogical work and its place in modern education. Alongside the educating function, Bulgarian schools have always performed upbringing and socializing functions for adolescents, which are implemented through various forms and initiatives. These have been, however, left in the background being less visible and not very clearly defined in terms of priorities and experts’ commitment. The study aims to justify the significance of social pedagogical work in schools and to outline some of its future prospects as an inseparable part of the pedagogical process in educational institutions.

Author(s): / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 2/2015

The concept of the “sociological expedition” implies various forms of collaborative empirical research, for which ethnographic fieldwork serves as the fundamental model. While this form of training students (“education through research”) is still relatively rare in Russia, in recent years its visibility has grown and its organizers have become more experienced. We were interested in finding out how, in each particular case, the idea of organizing such training retreats for students developed. What are the peculiarities and practical difficulties involved in conducting this kind of research and training? Finally, what role in the educational process should such research expeditions play? Participants in the discussion below note the importance of collaborative field research to students’ professional socialization and reflect about their own experiences of such trips, expressing regret that academic institutions still do not sufficiently support the practice.

Author(s): Vladimir Bozhilov,Nina Taneva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 4/2020

This paper builds on the results of an empirical report prepared in the context of the European project MAR.CH. and a review of the literature on the use of ICT in school. An original study on the role of the teacher in contemporary online (interactive) teaching is presented. The effectiveness of interactive methods for education was analyzed with the help of original online questionnaire. Our results contribute to understanding the effectiveness of interactive education in secondary schools in Bulgaria and Europe, as well. The conclusion is that in online lectures or distance learning via multimedia presentations, it is preferable to have good visualization of the material. Furthermore, this type of teaching is mostly preferred by the students as a mean for self-training and to research additional information rather than as a primary method for learning new material. The role of the teacher’s actual appearance in the videos and multimedia presentations does not seem to be crucial to the teaching of the material. Much more important though are the technical characteristics and the post processing of the video, ensuring good visibility of the slides with the material. We also stress that, based on our research, distance learning is generally not preferred as a the principal method for teaching. The results, published here for the first time, have lead to a successful defense of a Master’s Thesis at the Faculty of Physics at the Sofia University in July 2016.

The aim of the article is to compare psychological characteristics and development of initial teacher education students’ reflective abilities at non-degree granting and degree granting institutions. Materials and Methods. The study was carried out using empirical methods of psychological research (testing, self-observation). Empirical research results were processed using methods of quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The total sample consisted of 155 people, including 69 teacher training college students (non-degree programme in Primary school education) and 86 university students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Primary Education. Results. The findings of the study suggest that reflective abilities of initial teacher education students at non-degree granting and degree granting institutions contain quantitative and qualitative differences.

Author(s): Spas Stavrev / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 2/2020

Along with acquiring of knowledge in the universities for a certain type of activities, the availability of qualities of each individual is of importance too – motor, psychic and personal. They are in the base for the successful sport career and professional realization. The significance of personal qualities has been established, both for sport and professional career of human being. For the labour activity, they are professionally significant. Such are the volitional qualities and the personal anxiety. We have directed to compare the level of development with students, dealing with basketball, in educational groups of the discipline „Physical education“ and in the representative basketball team at the UNWE, in the beginning of the educational year. As regards the variability with both indices (volitional qualities and personal anxiety), the coefficients of variation define the groups of students as comparatively homogeneous. The average values for both indices define the students as individuals of “strong will”. Statistically, reliable differences with comparison of the results have not been established and with both signs investigated. For establishing the influence of basketball game on these personal characteristics on both aggregates, it is recommended to repeat the study in the end of the educational year.

Author(s): Magdalena Ilieva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 1/2011

The average school age is a period of the human development connected with the social adaptation of children. In the scientific literature this period is observed as a crisis of age, reflecting the transition from childhood to juvenility. Social position is changed and more rights are obtained, the child approaches the adults. The undeliberate provocative behaviour of children, typical for this age period, can often turn into permanent asocial behaviour influenced by other personal and social factors as well.

Author(s): Svetla Kjoseva / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 1/2019

The training in Bulgarian language in Hungary has its old traditions. If we turn our attention even to the last great migratory wave of Bulgarian gardeners (the second half of the IXX and the beginning of the XX century), we can account for almost 100-year history, which has its historical and content stages. The paper attempts to track the development of curricula at different government levels, taking into account the conflict situations that arise in the course of such an activity, the approaches for overcoming the difficulties, the efforts to reconcile the opportunities provided by the Hungarian education system and its synchronization with the Bulgarian state standards. The text reflects efforts to create such standards and a system of requirements that meet best the local needs without detracting from the level of education.

Author(s): Desislava Petrova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 8/2017

Second grade pupils show a high level of language competence formation in line with the second grade curriculum. There is a statistically significant difference in the achievements of girls and boys. Pupils have mastered the syntax knowledge and skills to a very high level. They show lower morphology results: they have mastered spelling knowledge of voiced consonants in the end of the word, as well as spell-checking skills, but they find it difficult to check the spelling of an unstressed vowel, especially if the word is plural; they are able to distinguish the studied parts of speech, define their grammatical gender category and differentiate between singular and plural forms.
