Author(s): Natalia Vinnikova / Language(s): Ukrainian Issue: 88/2013

A parody as a genre is characterized by only its inherent laws of construction and creation, the purpose of this article is to investigate the most popular parody implements and techniques that are used by Ukrainian authors very often. The object and purpose of parody, artistic tastes and writer’s skill determine parodist selection of specific tools and techniques. The parody text analysis is used in this article, the descriptive method is used in unfamiliar texts and the brightest parody examples are introduced in the scientific revolution. Also the functional approach is used the problem of understanding the text. The accent is on the fact that the parody applies the work facilities, which is parodied. Parodist mimics the style of prototext, altering it so that it is recognizable, but ridiculed. As a rule the most characteristic elements of the style are taken – a favorite method, propensity to a particular functional style, desirable usage of lexical items, syntactic structures etc. To achieve the goal parodist can use a lower object style of parody, to introduce new material into the text of the original works. The benefits of this study lies in the fact that for the first time the most popular methods and Ukrainian parodist are described. Consequently the most popular implements and techniques of Ukrainian authors are hyperbola, grotesque, metaphor, absurdity, alogizm, quotations, phonetic (alliteration, assonance, voice parallelism), syntactic (repetition, refrain, gradation), morphological facilities and receptions etc.

Author(s): Andrej M. Stojanović / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 17/2018

It is known that the term brokola (Brassica oleracea var. italica) in Serbian refers to a more recent Romance loanword brokoli (Ital. broccolo, pl. broccoli) and an older provincial word brokule (in the Serbian Dictionary by Vuk Stefanović Karadžić). In recent times, the widespread use of the dual forms brokoli/brokola (and brokula) does not inherently cause a significant interference in communication because both an ordinary person and an expert know very well that this is the same concept. Linguistic dilemmas about whether to use blokoli or brokola arise, however, only at the level of morphological adaptation of loanwords (gender, number and case), because it is where the mentioned forms should be adequately incorporated into the Serbian text (culinary recipe, menu, advertising text, research article etc.). Analysis of the morphological adapatation of studied loanwords using the material of electronic sources indicates their competitive relationship where each loanword has, for the time being, the right to coexist parallelly in the Serbian language provided that the norms of the grammatical system of the recipient language are respected.

Author(s): Ivana M. Bezrukova / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 16/2017

This paper analyses the phonetic features of legendary papers on the Holy Emperor Uroš by Metropolitan Pajsej. The aforementioned comprise the papers entitled Služba Svetom caru Urošu (The Service Dedicated to the Holy Emperor Uroš), Sinaksarsko žitije (The Sinaksar Hagiography), and Žitije Svetog cara Uroša (The Hagiography of the Holy Emperor Uroš). The research is done on Pajsej’s autograph from 1641, with a view to determining to what extent the presence of oral tradition elements in the literary Church Slavonic language is conditioned by the genre of the work. As anticipated, the oral tradition features can be found mostly in The Hagiography of the Holy Emperor Uroš, predominantly in the form of toponyms, possessive adjectives, and anthroponyms, which serve as guardians of folk customs and expressions.

Bosanskohercegovački govori i nacionalna pripadnost

Bosanskohercegovački govori i nacionalna pripadnost

Author(s): Senahid Halilović / Language(s): Bosnian Issue: 2/2003

The differences between the dialects of Bosniak, Serbs and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina come down to the preservation and substitution of the phonemes h and f, the geminating process and metathesis in a restricted group of words, and also to a few territorially restricted features. Even though they have an emblematic value, these differences are gradually being brought to the same level by interference, since the three ethnic groups have been living together for centuries in mixed settlements, or in the close neighborhood; therefore regional differences remain at the forefront while belonging to a national group is a factor of lower-level significance.

Author(s): Loredana-Liliana Buzoianu / Language(s): Romanian Issue: 17/2017

Author(s): Darija Gabrić-Bagarić / Language(s): Croatian Issue: 2/1986

The characteristic features and idyosyncrasies of the language of the Bosnian Friar literature have been intensively studded and these studies reveal many ties that the Friar literature in Bosnia established with the literatures, of other areas. As far the non-literary works, it has, been noted that they exemplify many specific features but that they are very closely related with the organic idioms. It is possible for the linguist to identify many similarities between the language used din friar literary works and that of non-literary works. The aim of this article is to show the extent to which the authors, of non-literary texts tried to adjust their language to the language of literary works and how the oral, conversational usage of language could influence these non-literary texts. Many of the non-literary texts, were greatly influenced by the oral tradition of popular poetry.

Terminološke višestrukosti u osnovnoškolskim udžbenicima biologije i njihov odraz u učeničkoj memoriji

Author(s): Savo Pujić / Language(s): Croatian,Serbian Issue: 1/1984

Author(s): Savo Pujić / Language(s): Croatian,Serbian Issue: 4/1983

Trubeckoj - Trubeckoja ili Trubecki - Trubeckoga

Author(s): Miloš Okuka / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/1983

Author(s): Bogdan L. Dabić / Language(s): Croatian,Serbian Issue: 3/1981

Jezička adaptacija grčkih ličnih imena u bosanskim evanđeljima (XIV-XV vijek)

Jezička adaptacija grčkih ličnih imena u bosanskim evanđeljima (XIV-XV vijek)

Author(s): Nevenka Gošić / Language(s): Croatian Issue: 4/1979

Greek proper names represent an antropomymic layer which, through the Slavonic translation of Gospels and ether canonic (books, gradually entered the system of Slavonic proper names. Naturally, since the very beginning of the process, i. e. till the time of the first transplation, the Greek proper names had been slavicized, or rather, adapted to the Slavonic phonetic and morphological system . As such, they have been preserved in the classical, Old-Slavonic texts. It is of interest, on this occasion, to establish what the situation is in the antroponymic layer in editorialised texts written on the territory of the Mediaeval Bosnian state. First, in the present paper the degree to which these names match the state in canonic transcripts, Marija’s Gospel was taken as a representative text for the sake of comparisn has been established. Secondly, our intention was to see how much the innovations from the common speech reflected in the phonetic and morphological structure of the Greek proper names in the gospels analyzed.

Author(s): Herta Kuna / Language(s): Croatian,Serbian Issue: 3/1978

Slavizmi u rumunskom jeziku i njihov značaj za proučavanje istorije slovenskih jezika

Author(s): Bogdan L. Dabić / Language(s): Croatian,Serbian Issue: 3-4/1975

U porodici romanskih jezika rumunski jezik zauzima posebno mjesto. Rumunski jezik, šire shvaćen, obuhvata: dakorumunski, aromunski, meglenorumunski i istarski dijalekat.

Pristup kompleksnijoj stilističkoj analizi srpskohrvatskoga stihovanog izraza

Author(s): Erol Topal / Language(s): Turkish Issue: 59/2018

Today, the rapid spread of technology and the migration from villages to towns cause dialect-specific vocabulary to become forgotten. One important area of linguistics is dialect research. The origin of dialect research in Turkey dates back to the 19th century. Various deficiencies and mistakes have been identified in dictionaries complied within this field. In order to overcome these deficiencies, it is necessary to make, as well as to process compilations. This particular study was carried out in order to contribute to the dictionary complied for the Turkish dialect of Eynesil, Giresun. In the study, it was determined that some of the words that were recently collected from different parts of Eynesil, were not found in the Compilation Dictionary, and moreover that some words were completely different—some of which lacking in the Giresun dialect altogether. The current work has also been done to overcome this shortcoming. The words featured in this study were gathered from different parts of the region. Middle aged, illiterate women were preferred for the purposes of this research. Towards the end of the study, 82 different words and phrases that were not found in the original compilation dictionary were identified and interpreted, and then classified according to whether or not they appear in the original compilation dictionary, as well as whether or not they appear in the broader Giresun dialect. At the end of this study, a small bibliography consisting of a results section as well as utilized sources section was added.
