Ženy v řídících pozicích

This ebook is a collection of paper from an international conference: The women in leading positons", which has been held on November, 2005. The main topic was an analyse why in Czechia men are still prevalated in the leading positons. Vážené čtenářky, vážení čtenáři, žen je v dozorčích a správních radách, mezi generálními řediteli a na nejvyšších manažerských pozicích pomálu. Konstatování, k němuž lze v případě České republiky dojít i při letmém pohledu na data o tom, jak jsou ženy reprezentovány na rozhodovacích pozicích – a to nejen v privátním sektoru. Proč ale na uvedených postech chybějí, v čem „zaostávají“ za muži, že jim nejsou na takové úrovni rovny, co jim brání v tom, aby uspěly a vůbec dostaly šanci svým kolegům a nadřízeným dokázat, že mají na to danou pozici zaujmout? Tyto a další otázky jsme si v Gender Studies, o.p.s. kladly, když jsme se zamýšlely nad dalším kolem Soutěže o nejlepší firmu s rovnými pří ležitostmi pro ženy a muže v České republice a jejím stěžejním tématem. Na jednu stranu z celé řady výzkumů a statistik víme, že ženy jsou srovnatelně vzdělané a mají tedy alespoň na úvod svých kariér podobnou star tovací čáru jako muži. Na druhou stranu však tytéž výzkumy a statistické údaje uvádějí, že ženy významně převažují mezi nezaměstnanými právě v době, kdy by své kariérní plány měly začít uplatňovat, tj. ve věku mezi 25 a 35 lety, a že - pokud zaměstnané jsou - jejich výdělek je ve srovnání s pří jmem jejich mužskými kolegy nižší a kariérní vzestup pozvolnější. Jak je to možné a kde se stala „chyba“? Nedostatek žen v rozhodovacích pozicích souvisí s celou řadou aspektů, z nichž mnohé jsou nepojmenovatelné nebo spjaté s tradičními stereotypy o mužských a ženských rolí, a proto těžko odbouratelné. Má-li dojít k nějaké změně v zastoupení žen a mužů na různých úrovních rozhodování, je třeba nejen citlivosti k tomuto tématu „shora“, tedy ze strany stávající ho vedení, ale i obecné otevřenosti žen i mužů k diskusi o vlastních rolích – zvolených i tradičních, životních a kariérních plánech, a nepochybně také o možnostech sladit soukromí s rodinou a zaměstnáním. Wśród istotnych procesów toczących się w Rosji w ostatniej dekadzie opisu i analizy wymaga aktywizacja społeczna – kształtujące się nawyki podejmowania oddolnych działań, tworzące się poziome sieci społeczne, duża liczba formalnych i nieformalnych inicjatyw obywatelskich, zarówno politycznych, jak i apolitycznych. Aktywizacja ta nie może jednak być rozpatrywana w oderwaniu od ewolucji całego modelu państwa, który – zwłaszcza po roku 2012 – notuje wzrost represyjności oraz spadek efektywności gospodarczej. Główne pytanie, jakie stawia niniejszy tekst, dotyczy uwarunkowań, które sprawiają, że aktywizacja społeczna i wzrost niezadowolenia obywateli z kondycji państwa skutkują jedynie krótkotrwałymi i lokalnymi wybuchami protestu i nie przekładają się na zmianę całego modelu zarządzania. W tym kontekście rozpatrzone zostały zarówno czynniki bieżące i personalne, jak i długofalowe uwarunkowania kulturowe, społeczne i polityczne.

Interception of Electronic Communications in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

One of the most important forming factors of the distribution of public powers in the Czech Republic is its totalitarian history. There is a strong sense of distrust towards official institutions in the general public. It is probably due to this fact, that the procedures and powers of public bodies and agencies are set very rigidly. The principle of legality is set in Art. 2 para. 3 of the Czech Constitution (Act No. 1/1993 Sb. Constitution of the Czech Republic), which states that “State authority is to serve all citizens and may be asserted only in cases, within the bounds, and in the manner provided forby law” and in Art. 2 para. 2 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms (the Resolution of the Presidium of the Czech National Council of 16 December 1992 on the declaration of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms as a part of the constitutional order of the Czech Republic No. 2/1993 Sb.), which states that “State authority may be asserted only in cases and within the bounds provided for by law and only in the manner prescribed by law”. Since all the public authorities authorized to intercept telecommunication fall within the scope of these articles, they are permitted to act only within the framework of what is expressly allowed for them by law.

New Economic Challenges – 5th International PhD Student Conference: Collection of Annotations of Contributions

The issue of financial crisis will not only be considered from the economic perspective, but also from the sociological perspective, which brings new insight and attention to phenomena that purely economic perspective can hide. It was very visible during the last financial crisis where the media was focused too much on the economic effects and not enough awareness of the social nature of the crisis. There are three main sociological perspectives: functionalist, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism. Functionalists believe that economic recessions are functional for society because economic downturn eliminates the poorly operating businesses, while the more useful businesses survive. Conflict theory is based on Karl Marx’s work. A Capitalist system can become so complex, abstract, and alienating, that even those who seem to be controlling the system of loans, secondary loans, and hedge funds, have no idea how it is working. The system’s collapse results from this central conflict within capitalism. According to symbolic interactionism, just because people believe there will be a downturn they act in such a way that ensures the economic downturn will happen, i.e. it acts like a self fulfilling prophecy.

The methodical approach to project cost management in the construction industry requires the knowledge of accounting principles applicable to cost calculations. Such knowledge helps to exert actual control over expenses incurred on the execution of a construction investment project. There are various approaches to cost calculation for the presentation in the cost budget of a construction project. In practice, the methods which can be used for this purpose include expert estimation, estimation by analogy, parametric modelling and the specific identification method. The paper focuses on these methods and its main aim is to outline them and indicate their possible applications in economy, taking Poland as an example.

Starší dějiny Vietnamu a Čampy

The book describes the history of two civilization spheres in the territory of present-day Vietnam: The Viet culture in the north, developing under a direct influence of China, and the Champa culture in the south, formed by small independent indianised communities. By the 15th century, the growth of the Viet statehood reached its peak in the creation of a centralized realm. On the other hand, Champa was driven back by the expanding Viets, a far-reaching defeat resulting in their gradual regress in the following centuries. The authors offer a chronological explanation based on Vietnamese and Chinese chronicles. They present two main trends: The transition from a thousand-year-old Chinese domination to independence, and the power shift from the Buddhist sangha to military rulers and neo-Confucian civil administration.

The book describes the modern history of Vietnam from the 16th century till the present time. It covers the development of Vietnamese statehood before the colonial era and under the dynasties Lê, Mạc, and under the influential families of Trịnh and Nguyễn. After the Tây Sơn unification, the rule was returned back to the hands of Nguyễns with the help of French advisers. Later, the French took over the power in the war with China. Their colonial rule was not satisfactory for Vietnamese and it stimulated local nationalism. The war with the Western countries in the second half of the 20th century led to partial and formal friendship with its allies (China and the Soviet Union). Post-war modernization, own political authority, and renewed Confucian values are the main features of the recent development.

This book presents a comprehensive analysis of the diplomatic and judicial controversy between the Teutonic Order in Prussia and the Polish-Lithuanian Union at the Council of Constance (1414–1418). This dispute is approached from three basic perspectives which intertwine with one another: diplomacy, law, and propaganda. The study of the envoys and their communication with the centres of decision-making serves to explore the diplomatic sphere of the conflict. The legal framework of the controversy was formed by the negotiations about the extension of the existing truce between the two rivalling powers, by diverse attempts of arbitration, and especially by the pending doctrinal litigation. The propaganda developed by the Polish-Lithuanian delegation revolved essentially around the question, whether the Polish or the Order’s concept of the Christianization of Eastern Europe was more successful. An extensive catalogue of treatises, polemics, complaints, and other texts, which were composed in connection with the Constance dispute, forms a major part of the book.

Politicians, journalists, and commentators fill the media with outlandish labels such as juristocracy, judicial state, government of judges etc. that only serve as very thin façades of stances, without any elaborated content and deeper substantiation. The book contributes to the definition of some foggy terms, providing them with concrete contents. The chapters deal in particular with the situation in the Czech Republic, although the reader can also learn, from a direct participant in international negotiations, about the uneasy task of pushing a Czech candidate for the position of a judge in an international court, illustrating the highly competitive international diplomatic environment. Produktywność pracy zdalnej w ocenie pracowników w warunkach gospodarki cyfrowej

Pandemia COVID-19 przyniosła katastrofalne skutki dla zdrowia, a także jest katalizatorem powstawania nowych form pracy. Praca zdalna, wykonywana najczęściej w miejscu zamieszkania, stała się obecnie powszechna na całym świecie. Autorzy poświęcili uwagę produktywności w warunkach pracy zdalnej. Wyniki podjętych badań, w tym badań literaturowych, ankiet i wywiadów, pozwoliły określić główne determinanty produktywności pracy zdalnej. Należą do nich czynniki jakościowe i kosztowe, takie jak wynagrodzenie otrzymywane w warunkach pracy zdalnej, autonomia, samodzielność czy też „samoprzywództwo” przy ograniczonej kontroli pracownika. Wnioski z tych jednorazowo przeprowadzonych badań mogą być traktowane jako wskazania do szerszych analiz na gruncie naukowym i praktycznym. Stanowią również sugestię dotyczącą określonych działań w zakresie polityki gospodarczej, które powinny być podejmowane zarówno przez poszczególne przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjne lub usługowe, jak i w skali całej gospodarki. Istotnym kierunkiem oddziaływania w skali mikro powinna być pomoc techniczno-organizacyjna dla osób pracujących zdalnie oraz system ich szkolenia.
