The paper attempts to answer several questions related to sociocultural communication today such as: how individuals relate to large-scale communities and social processes; how interactions among members of society are conducted; how variations in culture and society affect communication, and how communication, as a complex process, functions from small working groups to the global communication system. Several sociopsychological theories in the postmodern world together with sociocultural communication approaches are discussed with the aim of framing today’s communication. Business, media, education and private accomplishments are examined from an enterprise culture perspective highlighting the changes that have been produced in the condition of communication, and the communication skills demanded by employers. Newly required standards of communication are presented as a selfimprovement project, and the goals the education system must re-think nowadays in order to attain effectiveness in world communication are considered.

This paper analyses the adaptation process of communication means and strategies to the new directions of social development. There is a strong cause-effect relationship between the changes that have been observed in the field of human interaction methods and abilities and the newly developed technologies, apps and devices, which are created in order to make communication in VR more accessible. These devices and software combine the ingenuity of computer engineers and the high performance standards of artificial intelligence. These two elements find their origin in the rational way of thinking, which is only found in human beings. It is also true that ever since the ancient times, human beings have felt the need to express their feelings, ideas and thoughts freely. In order to fulfill this need, in a period characterized by major changes occurring at breakneck speed, people have adjusted their communication methods by starting to use images, symbols and abbreviations more frequently than words, in order to“gain” time.

The present paper brings into focus several communication constructs relevant for the process of social interactions based on the sociopsychological tradition.Interpersonal communication is a process of symbolic interaction that produces and depends on the larger social order. Basically, it looks at human interaction from the standpoint of the individual. Initial phases of interpersonal interaction are analyzed. Communication transactions occurring at different stages are researched with emphasis on uncertainty and predictability about the behaviour of the other(s). Thus, sociological impacts and psychological impacts on behaviour are treated in a complementary approach. Frequency of contact also appeared to be a relevant construct within the framework of forming interpersonal relationships. Exploring communication theories, the paper discusses the impact of communications media on social and multilinked relations.

Gender roles theories are very much advanced by radical feminism and by intersectionalism these days, as well as contested by those who have a more traditionalist view on what boys and girls should be like and behave like. While considering the idea of gender roles and education for gender roles a valid field of anthropological and cultural study, the present article comes to contest the relevance of the feminist theory according to which tomboys - girls and women with an inclination to adopt 'manly' attitudes - are, in fact, either transgender or lesbians, and are forced by society to conform. Using tomboy television tropes, which are very diverse and describe a great variety of such characters, the present paper maintains that gender roles and tomboysm should be saved from ideologically biases and given a more humane and culturally relevant meaning. The few examples of tomboys from literature, films and animated films, are used to illustrate this thesis.

This article derives from a doctoral thesis work. The aim of it was to characterize the processes of negotiation of meaning in Physics classes at High School in the Energy topic. The investigation adopts ethnographic characteristics. In particular it is a multicases study. Each case was conformed by the set of all the classes in which the Energy topic was studied. The four cases studied are considered instruments to analyze the processes of negotiation of meaning. The corpus is made up, mainly, by the audio of the communicative interchanges that occurs in the classes. Interviews with teachers were made and notes of field from the presence of the investigators in all the classes were registered. For the transcription and the analysis of the interchanges some elements of the Conversational Analysis were used. In this paper the construction of indicators is discussed to represent the communicative interaction between the professor, the students and the content. Also, the criteria are put to consideration that has allowed to determine negotiation degrees.

The purpose of the research the results of which are presented in the article is to show the language dynamics taking place under the influence of internet communication and in internet communication, on the example of selected syntax structures representing two mechanisms contributing to language dynamization, namely substitution and multiplication. In the article, based on quantitative corpus research in a diachronic approach, impact of internet communication, with observable distortion of the language standard, on the general standard Polish language is proven. An example of that impact is variability of the syntax structures selected for the research in scientific texts, that is in texts representing the highest correctness standards, subject to multiple linguistic corrections.

Digitalization and failing traditional revenue streams have led to some news companies blurring the lines between commercial, technological and editorial departments to sur- vive the digital transformation, innovate and remain financially sustainable. Future jour- nalists will enter news companies that stimulate this cross-functional approach to tackle challenges and fuel innovation, but we know less about how journalism students expect to navigate the blurring lines between technology, business and journalism. Moreover, entre- preneurial journalism has focused on studying innovation, individualization and capital- ization to understand journalists’ part in creating the future of journalism. Still, it is less clear how future journalists perceive these aspects. We surveyed 150 Flemish journalism students (bachelor's and master's level) to understand how they perceive this cross-func- tional trend and the different aspects of entrepreneurial journalism. Flemish journalism students believe journalists should innovate to help journalism survive, and a large portion of journalism students also anticipates becoming journalism innovators or entrepreneurs. However, innovation is still largely perceived as technological and multimedia and not as entrepreneurial. We did see a convergence of commercial and editorial skills to respond to the changing news context (native advertising, the audience turn) and journalism students gave some importance to business skills. We also noted pull and push dynamics towards freelancing. Finally, Flemish journalism students seem to have a realistic understanding of job opportunities. In response to job scarcity, some prepare to become a freelancer, while others look at career opportunities in other industries.
