VOLUNTEERING-A VALUABLE DIMENSION IN THE INITIAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS

Author(s): Mihaela Gabriela Neacșu,Diana-Crina Marin,Ilovan Rafila,Mușata Bocoș / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

The paper presents the partial results of a study carried out to probe the perceptions of prospective teachers from two university centers in Romania regarding the importance of volunteering activities, and the advantages and disadvantages of participating in such activities. The objectives aim to identify the degree of involvement of these prospective teachers in volunteering activities and to understand the organizational context of the volunteering activities that some students have benefited from and which have contributed to their development. The results highlight the need for a volunteering-friendly education for future teachers, the specific values and principles, the legal framework that regulates them, and their importance for personal and professional development. The study shows the need to increase the involvement of young students in community projects and volunteering activities in schools to better understand school issues better and gain experience in working with students and their parents.

VALUING EDUCATIONAL GAMES IN PREPARING CHILDREN FOR SCHOOL

VALUING EDUCATIONAL GAMES IN PREPARING CHILDREN FOR SCHOOL

Author(s): Oana CODREANU,DIANA REPEDE-ANGHEL / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Educational games are essential tools in preparing preschool children for school, supporting cognitive, socio-emotional, and psychomotor skill development (Malone et al., 2006; Anita, 2004). This study examines the theoretical and practical aspects of using educational games to enhance school readiness, highlighting structured play as a bridge between home learning and the formal school environment. Research shows that children exposed to well-planned educational games demonstrate better adaptability and academic readiness. Through a structured experimental study involving 5-6-year-olds, significant improvements were observed in attention, memory, language skills, self-regulation, and social interactions among children engaged in game-based learning compared to traditional methods (Domitrovich et al., 2012; Guhn et al., 2016). These findings underscore the need for integrating educational games into early childhood curricula. Not only do they help children approach school with a positive attitude, but they also cultivate adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, vital for lifelong learning. Ultimately, game-based learning is recommended as a fundamental component in early education systems worldwide

CHALLENGES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN THE CURRENT CONTEXT

CHALLENGES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN THE CURRENT CONTEXT

Author(s): Anton Savelovici / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

In the current context, the Religion teacher has to take into account several challenges, namely: increasing religious diversity, the relationship between religious education and the values of modern society, the integration of religious education into the school curriculum, the receptiveness of pupils and parents to religious education, cultural sensitivity from a religious point of view. The rural environment is characterised by a more homogeneous and traditional religiosity. Urban areas are characterised by religious diversity and pluralism. The relationship between religious education and the values of modern society in Romania and Europe is characterised by constant tensions and adaptations. Problems related to pedagogical methods and teacher training in religious education are dependent on the challenges of integrating religion into modern society. Cultural sensitivity contributes to the creation of an inclusive learning environment, which can improve student satisfaction and achievement.

Author(s): ALINA IOANA CONSTANTIN,ȘTEFAN VALENTIN LUNCANU,ANASTASIA MARIA MAREȘ,CĂTĂLIN ȘTEFAN DAJIU / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

ChatGPT represents an artificial intelligence model, which can text, answer questions and hold conversations in a natural manner, based on a vast amount of data it has been trained with. Students use the chatbot in their academic activity for a variety of reasons. The present research aims to identify students' views on the connection between the use of ChatGPT and their academic performance. 262 students from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania, participated in the research. Most students perceive ChatGPT as being useful in completing academic tasks, but its utilization is not always associated with academic performance. The study indicates that there is no direct connection between ChatGPT utilization and academic performance. Preliminary findings suggest the need for expanded research to validate and examine these connections more deeply.

INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION IN THE SECULAR PARADIGM OR WITH JESUS CHRIST

INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION IN THE SECULAR PARADIGM OR WITH JESUS CHRIST

Author(s): Anton Savelovici / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Intercultural education is an essential field in the context of globalisation and cultural diversity. The following models are used in intercultural education: assimilation, pluralistic, integrative, global, dialogue, critical and experiential. These models and perspectives are complementary and can be combined to create effective and relevant intercultural education that responds to the needs of a diverse and interconnected society. Jesus Christ is often presented as an ideal model in intercultural education because of his teachings centred on love, compassion, respect for human dignity and inclusion of all people, regardless of their cultural or ethnic background. Education modelled on Jesus Christ develops intercultural competences. It also contributes to a more just, peaceful and caring society.

LITERATURA ROMÂNĂ DIN VOIVODINA – INSTRUMENT DE FORMARE IDENTITARĂ PRIN EDUCAȚIE

LITERATURA ROMÂNĂ DIN VOIVODINA – INSTRUMENT DE FORMARE IDENTITARĂ PRIN EDUCAȚIE

Author(s): Virginia Popović,Brânduşa Juica / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Romanian literature from Voivodina and education among the Romanian minority play a vital role in preserving the cultural and linguistic identity of the community. Literature captures the history, traditions, and values of Romanians in this area, maintaining a deep connection to their roots. Romanian schools in Voivodina actively promote Romanian literature by integrating it into the educational process through various methods. School celebrations and recitations are key moments where primary and secondary school students develop their expressive skills and learn to appreciate the cultural and literary values of their community. Additionally, textbooks are essential tools in this effort, including Romanian literary texts that contribute to the formation of students' linguistic and cultural identity. By incorporating these works into the curricula, a school keeps the literary tradition alive and ensure the transmission of Romanian cultural values to new generations. In this paper, we aim to conduct a detailed analysis of the educational plans and curricula developed by Romanian language teachers for students in Voivodina, as published on the Ministry of Education's website. We will examine how Romanian literature from Voivodina is included in school textbooks, focusing on an axiological analysis of the selected texts proposed in the curriculum. We will also propose criteria for selecting literary texts by Voivodina's writers to promote a more consistent presence of canonical Romanian literature in school textbooks in this region. Therefore, this paper will help improve educational content and enhance the cultural identity of Romanian students in Voivodina.

IMPACTUL COMUNITĂȚII ASUPRA REALIZĂRII EDUCAȚIEI RELIGIOASE LA NIVELUL PREȘCOLAR

Author(s): Anca Cristina Ivașcu / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The achievement of religious education at the preschool level is primarily responsible of the kindergarten, but the family also has an important role in the study by preschoolers of the elements of religious education. Kindergarten and family have a decisive role in achieving religious education at the pre-school level, but the community is also responsible for the moral-religious formation of preschoolers. Together with parents and teachers, community representatives must shape the souls of children by conveying their faith in God. The moral-religious development of children is responsible for several institutions within the community, such as the church, town hall, police, etc., the church being the institution with a major role in this sense. The kindergarten interacts with the family, but also with representatives of important institutions in the community, such as the school principal, the priest, the family doctor, the mayor, the police officer. All these relationships established with these partners lead to the moral and religious development of the child. The community plays an important role in children's education, as it helps to transmit knowledge and attitudes that can clearly guide the life of every member of the community. In the implementation of religious education in kindergarten it is important to have collaboration between teachers and community representatives. In order to effectively carry out educational activities of a religious nature, it is important that the educator also invites community representatives to participate in such activities, so that together they can work on the moral-religious development of children. How much community representatives consider studying religious content at the preschool level to be very important is the question that led to a research that used a questionnaire as the main tool. The research identified the views of community representatives on the need to study religious education at the pre-primary level, the types of content that should be studied and the benefits of studying such religious content for children.

POVEŞTILE PENTRU COPII – CONTEXT DE DEZVOLTARE A COMUNICĂRII EXPRESIVE ÎN PREȘCOLARITATE

Author(s): Victoria Tira / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Preschool children can practise their communication skills and emotions more freely way during their play and story times in kindergarten. The didactics of the field of Language and Communication in early childhood education, regardless of time and curriculum, has always proposed methodical guidelines and suggestions of educational content for the development of communication in children, and a large part of this content is represented by children's stories. "The moral of a story is more effective if it is discreet, not explicit. Good literature for children regards its receivers with respect and on equal footing" (Moraru, 2022, p. 15). The story, as a basis for receiving and practicing values through classic and current content from children's literature, subsequently also contributes to the development of children's expressive communication, motivating them to express in words what they see, hear and feel. In this sense, the „daily reading time” spent by the teachers with the pre-school children is an effective way of stimulating children's expressive communication development.

CARACTERISTICI ALE PEDAGOGIEI RESPONSABILITĂȚII ÎN VIZIUNEA CADRELOR DIDACTICE DIN ÎNVĂȚĂMÂNTUL PRIMAR ROMÂNESC

Author(s): Iulia-Gabriela Alexandru,Liliana Stan / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Responsibility is an essential benchmark of life in its socio-human manifestations; at the same time, it is an important content of the educational offer for children and young people. The following pages describe the results of an interview-based survey with the participation of Romanian primary school teachers. The aim of the study was to highlight the way Romanian primary school teachers perceive the training of young schoolchildren in assimilating the value of responsibility, starting from the manner of understanding/defining the value of responsibility itself. The results allowed, mainly, to do an inventory of the current meanings of responsibility that teachers operate with in their interaction with primary school pupils, to outline the profile of the responsible young pupil and to highlight some characteristics of the pedagogy of responsibility based on the professional practice of the participants.

CREATIVITATE ŞI INOVAŢIE ÎN UTILIZAREA METODELOR DIDACTICE ACTIV-PARTICIPATIVE ÎN LECŢIA DE RELIGIE, ASTĂZI

CREATIVITATE ŞI INOVAŢIE ÎN UTILIZAREA METODELOR DIDACTICE ACTIV-PARTICIPATIVE ÎN LECŢIA DE RELIGIE, ASTĂZI

Author(s): Carmen-Maria Bolocan / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Our study wishes to present the proportion of active-participative methods in the lesson of religion today. In other words, we would like to present how to maintain a balance between the use of the traditional didactic methods and the active, modern ones, within the lesson of religion. The necessity to rethink formal education together with the non-formal and informal education, in their various forms of representation is one of the challenges of the contemporary society. If in the traditional methodology the student is no more than a simple listener, receiving passively what is transmitted or demonstrated to him, in the active-participative methodology the student is an actor, he receives all the knowledge by using his thinking, his intellectual functions in relation to the task he receives. The purpose of the class of Religion is, essentially, to form authentic Christians, who actually live the Christian teaching and spirituality, active participants to the cult of the Church and to the social life. Although the didactic method has an important role within the class of Religion, this does not mean that it is the only one that matters, but one must also take into account the fact that the “addressee” of the Christian religious education must benefit as much as possible of everything that the spiritual life – revealed or consolidated during the class of Religion – has to offer.

PROFILUL ADOLESCENŢILOR CU STIMĂ DE SINE SCĂZUTĂ ŞI RAPORTAREA ACESTORA LA VALORILE MORALE ŞI RELIGIOASE

Author(s): Monica Opriş,Dorin Opriş / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Through the present study, we aimed to provide data for creating a profile of adolescents with low self-esteem, depending on different variables. Complementarily, we wanted to find out how this category of students relates to moral and religious values and whether attending church is understood as a benchmark for getting out of this state. We capitalized on the research data collected through a questionnaire administered to over 700 high school students in Romania. We considered two statements with a negative connotation from M. Rosenberg's self-esteem scale: "Sometimes I think I'm worth nothing", respectively "Sometimes I think about myself that I'm a loser". The data show that for both statements there are no statistically significant differences depending on gender, place of residence, family size. Regarding the class the students belong to, for the first statement there are statistically significant differences, i.e. the lowest average of the ranks is recorded for students from the 9th grade. Thus, we can say that we have the opportunity to meet both girls and boys with low self-esteem.

SPECIFICUL, LOCUL ȘI ROLUL MIZERICORDIEI ÎN SOCIETATEA CONTEMPORANĂ

Author(s): Valeriu Capcelea / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

This article discusses one of the desirable virtues, kindness, its essence and types, its complicated nature because it can cause conflict and is realized in a merciless and imperfect world. The author pays special attention to an important element of the virtue of mediocrity, the requirement to forgive offenses by resorting to the postulates from the Bible. At the same time, the parable of the love of enemies is addressed, where forgiveness represents the forgetting of offenses and the existence of an agreement to establish peace. In conclusion, it is noted that kindness is not a virtue of the past, but a timeless principle that continues to inspire people to live a life characterized by compassion, empathy, forgiveness and love. At the same time, it is highlighted that at the beginning of the millennium we live in an era where discord, aggression and division dominate society and mediocrity serves as a beacon of hope, encouraging us all to extend a hand of kindness to those in need and to we promote a society full of compassion, mercy and empathy.

VALORI ȘI FACTORI MOTIVAȚIONALI ÎN ALEGEREA CARIEREI DIDACTICE

VALORI ȘI FACTORI MOTIVAȚIONALI ÎN ALEGEREA CARIEREI DIDACTICE

Author(s): Ioana Todor / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Teachers’ motivation, job satisfaction, engagement, and commitment to the profession significantly influence teaching outcomes. In the last decades, a large number of studies investigated preservice teachers’ motivation to choose teaching as a career and these motivational factors have been categorized as follows: 1) intrinsic motives (such as a desire to work with children), 2) extrinsic motivation (external benefits such as job security, time for family or longer vacations) and 3) altruistic motives (shaping the childrens’ future or enhancing social equity). According to an OECD report (2005), intrinsic and altruistic motives were the most frequently nominated reasons for choosing teaching as a career, in European countries. Personal values guide peoples’ actions and decisions and can shape their career path. This study aims to identify motivational factors and personal values that could be linked with career choice, in a sample of preschool and primary school preservice teachers. FIT-Choice Scale and Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ) were used for collecting data. The potential mediating role of personal values in the relationship between motivational factors and preservice teachers' career choices is also discussed.

LOGIC. The chosen theme falls within the issue of personal development of preschool children, and the investigation carried out aims to explore how optional activities can represent an opportunity for the formation of independent intellectual work skills, an important premise for a successful path in the first year of school. The purpose of the research: to identify the formative-educational role of an optional program of personal development through games and exercises of attention and logic on the intellectual formation of 5-6 year old preschoolers. The intellectual skills formed through the educational intervention carried out through the optional personal development program prepare preschoolers for school activity. The hypothesis of the research: the inclusion in the educational offer of the curriculum available to the school (CDȘ) of an optional personal development through games and exercises of attention, insight and logic intended for older preschoolers creates the prerequisites for the formation of the skills of independent intellectual work / autonomy in learning and, implicitly , of the premises for a positive evolutionary personal path in the first year of school.

Personality-Related Determinants of Entrepreneurship in the Light of Own Research in the Agribusiness Sector

Personality-Related Determinants of Entrepreneurship in the Light of Own Research in the Agribusiness Sector

Author(s): Barbara Kiełbasa,Marcin Krzysztof Kopyra / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

The aim of this article is to identify the personality traits that can characterise entrepreneurial people and to determine what they believe to be important in achieving success. Entrepreneurship is defined very broadly in the literature and researchers consider different approaches to this issue. Certainly, being entrepreneurial is a combination of knowledge, passion, hard work and active learning. What is more, in many studies there are hypotheses indicating a correlation between the possession of certain character traits, or even temperament, and the propensity to start a business. In this article, an analysis of the behavioural and attitude approach to entrepreneurship is undertaken, which means that some personal traits and behaviour of the entrepreneurial person are analysed, as well as their perceptions of the issue. A descriptive-inductive method was used, using simple statistical methods. A survey method was used to obtain empirical data. An online survey form was sent to agribusiness entrepreneurs from Poland, the entrepreneurs were randomly selected. The respondents were primarily active in industries such as fruit, vegetable processing, as well as meat. A total of 57 returns were received between January and March 2023. The questionnaire included questions on personality traits that may be conducive to an entrepreneurial attitude, as well as identifying attitudes towards certain management situations. The respondents rated themselves as extroverted and open-minded, confident in their abilities. Most respondents described themselves as sanguines. A number of scientific studies confirm that sanguines and extroverts are the people who are most successful as entrepreneurs. Considering the statements of the respondents, there was a significant difference in the inconsistency of the responses from those labelled choleric and phlegmatic. The most consistent statements were obtained from sanguinis. Sanguinis were the most likely of all respondents to believe in the strength of their predispositions and character traits. Cholerics, due to their explosive nature and not always good decisions, felt that it was appropriate to monotone external factors, as this was the basis for decision-making. As a result of the survey and the literature review, it can be confirmed that entrepreneurial personality traits play an important role when setting up one's own business and also when continuing to manage it, but also an external situation and business environment play an important role in decision-making process. All these factors should be correlated and a good entrepreneur should be able to use his/her strengths to exploit market opportunities. According to the authors of this article, it is necessary to integrate one's personality traits and aptitudes with market information and ongoing monitoring of the industry to achieve success.

VALORI ALE IDENTIFICĂRII ȘI/ SAU DENEGĂRII ÎN SPECTACOLUL DE FORMĂ SCURTĂ

Author(s): Ana Ghilaş / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The research refers to the domain of education and values in contemporary society, the object of study being the theatrical discourse of short forms and its valences at the level of identification and/or denial by the spectator. The varied forms of theatrical performances at the current stage propose new approaches to the axiology of stage/director - receiver communication. The purpose of the investigation is to reveal the impact of certain theatrical forms on the way of reception and awareness of the spectator. In the paper, we propose as objectives the analysis of some performances staged currently on the stages of theaters in Chisinau in order to demonstrate the valences of the short-form theatrical discourse and of the documentary one in the moral and social education of the spectator through the specificity of these types of theater, especially, of the theatrical conventions of identification and denial of the receiver.

MODALITĂȚI DE OPTIMIZARE A STĂRII PSIHO-EMOȚIONALE LA PĂRINȚII COPIILOR CU TSA

Author(s): Galina Pravițchi,ADELINA BURCĂ / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The research on optimizing the psycho-emotional state of parents whose children have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is particularly relevant given the increasing number of children diagnosed with ASD in the Republic of Moldova and the challenges faced by their parents. While occupational centers focus on child therapy and parent education, the parents’ psycho-emotional state remains insufficiently approached. These parents often experience stress, anxiety, and social isolation, and the necessary support is, in many cases, informally provided by other parents in similar situations. Thus, understanding the fundamental mechanisms that influence the psycho-emotional state of parents whose children have ASD served as the foundation for developing a psychological program aimed to reduce the negative effects of stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion, thereby optimizing resilience and hardness of the parents.

FUNDAMENTELE BIBLICE ÎN PREDAREA COMUNICĂRII ÎN LIMBA ROMÂNĂ

Author(s): DIDINA BRATU,RAQUEL BOUVET DE KORNIEJCZUK / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The research analyzes the integration of faith in the teaching of Romanian Language Communication in one of the schools affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, using as biblical foundation the four pillars: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. The context of this research highlights the lack of Romanian-language materials to guide teachers in integrating biblical values. One of the aims of the study was to refine the planning of Bible-based Romanian Language Communication classes and to observe changes in teachers' pedagogical practice and their reflection in the students' lives. The findings emphasize the need for a deliberate and systematic effort on the part of teachers to model biblical values in the learning process, thereby strengthening students' relationships with God and with their peers.

O PERSPECTIVĂ BIBLICĂ ÎN PREDAREA GEOGRAFIEI

O PERSPECTIVĂ BIBLICĂ ÎN PREDAREA GEOGRAFIEI

Author(s): CORINA LOREDANA IANCU,RAQUEL BOUVET DE KORNIEJCZUK / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

This research explores how biblical values can be integrated into the teaching of Geography in a confessional school. The study focuses on the four biblical pillars: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. The main goal is to assess whether and how these pillars, integrated into lesson plans, can influence teaching practices, as well as the impact of faith-integrated lessons on students. The results show that such integration promotes holistic education. Each pillar brings a unique perspective: Creation emphasizes humanity's divine role, the Fall highlights the impact of sin, Redemption points to the restoration of the relationship with God, and Restoration underscores the divine purpose of education. Thus, if teachers integrate biblical values into teaching, they strengthen students' relationship with God and others. Geography thus becomes a tool to provide a Christian worldview.
