The factors influencing poverty and social inequalities vary greatly in their impact across regions, countries, and cultures. Education stands out as a primary determinant of an individual's social status, their readiness to engage in specific employment opportunities, and their access to social security and support systems. Educational attainment not only shapes individual characteristics but also serves as a crucial indicator of income levels and susceptibility to poverty. Moreover, education plays a vital role for marginalized communities, who often face significant barriers to access due to cultural and ethnic disparities. Lastly, education is pivotal not only in addressing poverty but also in facilitating social mobility.

Factors such as access to education, healthcare, job opportunities, and social support systems play crucial roles in determining the levels of inequality and poverty. Additionally, corporate social policies largely influence the percentage of the so-called „working poor“, who represent a particularly noteworthy group.

Is the „playing“ mother disappearing? What are the consequences for early childhood development when, for various reasons, the mother is unable to play with her little child? What are these unique features in maternal play that stabilize the child's psychophysical development and can we „detect“ deficits in early mother-infant relationships. In this text, we will present a summary of a clinical experience from a study of 27 children aged 10-36 months with problems in psychophysical development and 8 cases from psychotherapeutic counselling recommended by a paediatric neurologist. Through the collected clinical material, we will illustrate Donald Winnicott's concept of the„good enough mother“ and Jacques Lacan's „maternal Other“.

АВТЕНТИЧНА КОМУНИКАЦИЯ ЧРЕЗ ИЗКУСТВЕН ИНТЕЛЕКТ

Author(s): Ivanka Davcheva / Language(s): Bulgarian Publication Year: 0

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a key role in our daily social communication through technological devices, as well as in the development of socially assistive robots (SARs) that are capable of interacting with humans. Artificial intelligence allows SARs to adapt to the individual needs of users. Research shows that people can develop emotional connections with SAR, which can have an impact on their perceptions, emotions, behavior and mental health. The interaction between a person and artificial intelligence mediated by technology can lead to ethical questions concerning decisions delegated to an algorithm, privacy of personal information, etc. Central to this communication is a new paradigm of human-artificial intelligence relationships. A theoretical field that undergoes its development with the pace of growth in technological evolution.

От традиционното хоро до сценичното изкуство и културното наследство. Културни политики и социална трансформация

Author(s): Krasimira Krastanova / Language(s): Bulgarian Publication Year: 0

The specifics of life transitions are often constructed in relation to social transformations generated by political, economic, cultural demographic causes. Changes come as the result of actions of community members who build their strategies, participate in meaningful events and/or routine activities that transform the environment but also the people. Life transitions can affect the separate person but also the whole community, reflecting and becoming included in the process of social transformation. The text is a case study (the Thracian dance of Kalekovtsi) and analyses the transitions in the life of the village community, seen through the construction and uses of cultural heritage. There is a role for the conceptualization of life transition played by the cultural politics carried out through the activities of the local community culture clubs (chitalishte), and the changes are traced from the 1930s to the 2020s. Before WWII, the chitalishte worked mostly in the direction of educating and spreading information. During the socialist period, their task was to contribute for the establishment of homogeneity of the working and peasant class in everyday life. Elements of festive customs were extracted from their ‘natural environment’ and proclaimed as folk art. Through the chitalishte, the idea of that art’s reworking and modernization was carried out with the purpose of inscribing it in a new manner into people’s life. Thus the traditional Kalekovtsi Horo became the raw material for its reincarnation as a stage dance, as only some elements were emphasized to give it a specific characteristic and recognizability on the stage. This puts it into the category of ‘invented traditions’ (after Hobsbawm). Since more than two decades ago, the contemporary politics have been directed towards the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage. The people of the local community (re-)conceptualise their idea of cultural heritage and they take the stage version as an important element of their ofn past and present. The analysis of the material reveals the processes of social transformation that are manifested in cultural practices and inheritance.

Жизнени преходи и трансформации в дигитални разкази на влогъри на българското село

Author(s): Svetoslava Mancheva / Language(s): Bulgarian Publication Year: 0

The (self-)transforming village and its actors create active images that are presented in a digital online environment. Vloggers, having skills that are different from those ‘traditional’ for the village, narrate on transitions to an out-of-the-city way of life. This text tries to produce a typology of vloggers from different parts of Bulgaria who present their perspectives on such experiences and on the village. They adapt online their knowledge to the place and the people, they educate and they create connections, interactions and communities. Life transitions and change are narrated and shown to teach to village life and interaction with the place. How are memories of the past and the future (re-)constructed, in the structure of ‘new’ digital narratives on the Bulgarian village? I am looking for the answer in the (online) strategies of narrators, vloggers of the village, who organize and popularize images from their experience and interactions.

QUALITY IN THE DIGITIZATION PROCESS EDUCATION

QUALITY IN THE DIGITIZATION PROCESS EDUCATION

Author(s): Serghei Maftea,Constantin Rusnac,Nicolae Levandovski / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Starting from the fact that the digitization of the educational process must be seen as a process that does not replace the role of the teacher but complements and supports it, it is necessary to direct the activity in such a way that the respective process develops the increase in the quality of education. In this sense, the approaches aim at supporting and applying the principle of quality, which is based on several levels, such as instant access to educational resources, operational interactivity to increase the commitment and motivation of the audience for learning, and of course the personalization and adaptation of the instructional content according to individual and collective needs of the audience. Another basic level of the quality principle refers to monitoring and evaluation. This fact is an asset of learning management systems, such as Moodle, because it is possible to provide instant feedback, perform automated assessment, and report on various aspects that allow training to be adapted to the actual situation in the classroom.

TRANSMEDIA IDENTITY OF LITERATURE: STORYTELLING, TEACHING, AND LEARNING IN THE DIGITAL AGE CULTURE(S)

TRANSMEDIA IDENTITY OF LITERATURE: STORYTELLING, TEACHING, AND LEARNING IN THE DIGITAL AGE CULTURE(S)

Author(s): Carolina Dodu-Savca / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

The digital age has brought about meaningful changes in all the domains of human activity, introducing new-fangled ways of interaction in the public, social, tribal, and neuropsychological spheres. In our article, we will focus on prominent developments in the realm of transmedia literary productions, such as storytelling and transmedia narrative. The digital age culture did not wipe away from the public arena the traditional arts and specifically the literary world. On the contrary, it empowered the literary production to expand its borders, firstly, abolishing the old-style boundaries between work, text, and content, and secondly, it facilitated the fusion of traditional and emergent ways of ‘consuming’ literature complexly across multimedia platforms. The main objective is to highlight the manifold “affordances” of learning literature via immersive experience in multimodal setups of reading, writing, observing, following, playing, filming, watching, recording, webbing, editing, designing, gaming, distinguishing, expressing, blogging, vlogging, chatting, foruming, conversing, debating, and interpreting new and old narratives. From our viewpoint, even in this overcrowded networked culture, literature can and will continue playing its role as a chief contributor to the development of conceptual, procedural, and factual knowledge of humanity.
