Концептуална интегративна рамка на технологичните и работните процеси във виртуален контекст

Концептуална интегративна рамка на технологичните и работните процеси във виртуален контекст

Author(s): Kristian Hadjiev / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2024

In the article, the object of research from a structural, managerial and process point of view are two main elements of the organizational infrastructure related to the design and functioning of effective virtual teams – technological and work processes. They are fundamental factors that ensure not only the performance of activities – physical, technical, cultural, social and functional, but also the functioning of adequate resources – human, financial, material and informational. In a virtual context, the structure of work processes largely depends on the technological structure, as it is based on systems that model, control and manage the activity through remote forms and specialized software. Three dimensions of work processes are analyzed: software tools, systems that define the technical architecture and organization of business processes. The focus is on the application and roles of technology in the work processes of virtual teams, which are of higher management complexity and require flexibility and coordination due to geographical and time constraints, discipline, values and cultural differences.

Author(s): Sanja Maričić Mesarović,Mirjana Matović / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 2/2024

This article aims to analyze the presence of musical elements as well as the importance ofthe use of music in the process of learning a foreign language with a focus on the teachingof Spanish as a foreign language. Music and language have numerous common characteristics that arerecognizable through rhythm, melody, intonation, dynamics and represent a form of continuous mutualcommunication. Music stimulates the activity of the right hemisphere of the brain, thus encouragingcreativity and imagination as key motivators in the learning process. Our research deals with the analysisof the presence of elements related to music in the textbooks used in the teaching of Spanish as a foreignlanguage at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. A quantitative analysis of the corpus identified examples that represent musical content or refer to musical elements within the teaching. The aimof this research was to identify which musical content is present in the textbooks and at what level of learning Spanish as a foreign language (A1-B2) and which language competences and skills develop withthe help of the identified content. The hypothesis of this research was that musical content would be morepresent at lower levels of learning when the student is expected to memorize new words and grammaticalconstructions. The corpus analysis showed that music in foreign language teaching provides lexical andcultural input. The results of this research confirm that musical content can be used for the purpose ofpracticing and improving both receptive and productive language skills, and for the purpose of developingand enriching students’ lexical, grammatical and intercultural competence, especially at lower levels oflearning. With music, we can improve our pronunciation, practice intonation, expand our vocabulary, learn grammatical structures and understand the culture of the other

Пенсиите за осигурителен стаж и възраст в България в контекста на застаряването на населението през периода 2018-2022

Author(s): Ralitza Pandurska / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2024

The increase in retirement costs and the deepening of the deficit in the first pillar of the pension system are largely due to changes in the demographic structure of the population. The processes of population aging, increase in average life expectancy, high external migration and others that started decades ago have lasting adverse consequences on the financial stability of public pension insurance. It faces the difficult task of being able to cover the costs of the current beneficiaries, but at the same time not opposing the interests of different generations and putting an additional burden on the able-bodied people financing these systems. This study is dedicated to the demographic transformations that have been taking place in Bulgaria in recent years and the way they affect the solidarity pension system in the country. The timely definition and analysis of demographic changes related to the deteriorating age structure of the population is essential for understanding, forecasting and preventing problems in the PAY-ASYOU-GO pension scheme.

Демография и икономика: големият развод?

Author(s): Gérard-François Dumont / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2024

News regularly raises economic concerns that the surprise effect is due to a misunderstanding of the population: they suddenly surprised by the cost of pensions, predictable long time; we seem to discover the decline coming in the workforce; there are concerns about school closures affecting the economic dynamics of rural areas; we find declining flow of students entering higher education… These few examples show that economic science has not been able to focus on the economic consequences of population trends.

Perceived stress in Italian coaches and the effect of rebooting in sport activities

Author(s): Giampaolo Santi,Sergio Costa,Cristina Montesano,Attilio Carraro,Maurizio Bertollo,Selenia di Fronso / Language(s): English,Serbian Issue: 4/2024

Perceived stress in Italian coaches and sport mental health were investigated during the rebooting of sport activities following the first COVID-19 lockdown period. A sample of 237 coaches from various sports were asked to answer the Italian version of the Perceived Stress Scale and the Sport Mental Health Continuum, together with reporting of demographic information. Coaches’ perceived stress levels were compared with data collected during the lockdown period. Women showed a significant decrease in their perceived stress levels compared to the lockdown period, whereas this was not true for men. Hierarchical regression indicated that, during the rebooting phase, increased age of coaches and their psychological well-being experienced in sporting contexts (a sport mental health dimension) were predictive of decreased perceived stress levels. Practical implications for practitioners working in this field are discussed in the conclusions.

New Digital Paradigm and Motherhood in Migratory Contexts

Author(s): Mónica Ortiz Cobo,Renzo Ismaél Jeri Levano,Jose Garcia Martin / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2024

Aim. The present study aims to explore the maternal role of migrants in pre-digital and digital contexts. For this purpose, the study analyses the relationships among migrant mothers in digital and pre-digital contexts and the impact of their mother-child relationship.Methods. Virtual ethnography has enabled the analysis of various heterogeneous moments and contexts, as well as a virtual exploration of the social networks of the twenty-four participants in this study. Meanwhile, multi-sited ethnography has allowed access to and the utilization of multiple interconnected spaces in migratory contexts.Results. The inclusion of digital technology, the use of social networks, and the polymedia environment enable migrant mothers to challenge geographical and temporal barriers and devise strategies that allow them to maintain their mother-child relationship through ubiquitous and real-time transnational communication. This distinguishes them from migrant mothers of the pre-digital era, whose maternal roles were threatened by physical distance and the limited availability, at that time, of communication tools.Conclusion. A new digital paradigm has enabled the construction of digital motherhood in migratory contexts, representing a significant evolution in parental dynamics affecting 21st-century mothers, often referred to as "digital natives". This technological shift has altered the traditional conception of motherhood and long-distance caregiving. Changes in family relationships redefine the migratory experience and motherhood, as well as influence processes of identity, belonging, and adaptation in virtual contexts.

Author(s): Ambera Duka,Klodiana Leka,Magdalini Vampa,Janka Bursová,Zita Jenisová / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2024

Aim: The study aims to analyze the climate factors in inclusive classes in motivating students with special needs to increase their academic achievements and improve social behaviors. Through a qualitative methodology, the study investigated several dimensions of supportive and open classroom climate on their impact on the performance of students with special needs in inclusive classrooms. Through the suggestions that this study offers, the close relationship that the supportive climate has in the motivation of students in the classroom, especially when different techniques of group activities are developed can be easily seen.Method: For the realization of this study, ninety-two (92) students/teachers of the "Teachers in Primary Education" program of the second cycle of studies at "Aleksander Moisiu" University in Durres were included and were divided into four (4) focus groups. At the same time, semi-structured interviews were conducted with twenty-one (21) primary education teachers (grades 1-5) in three schools in the Municipality of Durres. Results: The findings of the study highlight that collaborative climate factors in inclusive classrooms influence and motivate students with special needs. Several issues related to students' motivation have been identified, specifically: their motivation increases during group work, their motivation increases in project-based learning, and their motivation increases in the reinforcement of hard skills they bring to teaching supported by ICT.Conclusion: Students and teachers also reported that all these beliefs and attitudes directly affect the performance of students with special needs and therefore their achievements. Teachers emphasize that students with special needs are more involved in group work, and some of the benefits that students with special needs have, are: improved communication and interaction by strengthening cooperation and self-efficacy. On the other hand, some of the benefits of project work that parents highlighted are: that children become more social; lasting friendships develop; self-esteem increases; and everyone's values and abilities stand out.

The World without Women: Gender Issues in the Gesta Regum Sclavorum

The World without Women: Gender Issues in the Gesta Regum Sclavorum

Author(s): Dragana Kunčer / Language(s): English Issue: 4/2023

This paper aims to explore the role of gender in the Gesta regum Sclavorum (GRS ), also known as the Chronicle of the Priest of Dioclea. It critically examines the portrayal of women in this historical narrative, noting its reflection of a broader trend in medieval male-authored texts that perpetuate female inferiority and marginalization. In the GRS , women predominantly emerge as anonymous and passive consorts of kings, relegated primarily to the role of progenitors of heirs. Instances of women taking independent action, as exemplified by the widow of Hungarian prince Kys, then Cossara, the daughter of Samuel and wife of St. Vladimir, and Iaquinta, wife of King Bodin, are depicted in a manner that suggests their inclusion in the narrative is due to the benefits these actions provided to their male relatives. The portrayal of female agency in the GRS is thus interpreted as a reflection of the gendered social norms of the era, which were more inclined to resist rather than support the women’s empowerment.

Публичноправни аспекти на Националния рамков договор

Author(s): Nina Chilova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 1/2023

By its legal nature, the National Framework Contract is a sub-ordinate legislation in implementation and application of the Health Insurance Act (HIA). It incorporates specific rules of conduct – legal norms relating generally to the conditions for the provision of medical care by the „contractors“ of such care, the procedure for concluding contracts with them, the volumes, prices and methodologies for the costing and purchase of types of medical care, criteria for the quality and accessibility of medical care, and other elements that are part of its subject matter. In addition to its administrative and legal character, the NFC also has financial law aspects related to the expenditure of funds from the NHIF (National Health Insurance Fund) budget, in which typical financial law relations arise, develop, and are extinguished.

Investment in Cybersecurity Companies in Times of Political and Economic Instability

Investment in Cybersecurity Companies in Times of Political and Economic Instability

Author(s): Grzegorz Przekota / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2024

The socio-economic development that has taken place in recent years takes into account cybersecurity issues. Cybersecurity has many different dimensions, including the economic dimension. The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has shown that modern war is not only conventional, but also cybernetic. Earlier, the massive shift to remote communication systems forced by COVID also increased the demand for cybersecurity. This means that cybersecurity com- panies receive new orders, which can have a positive impact on their financial results. In the opinion of many experts, investing in such companies could be a good business. The research conducted in this article focuses on testing assumptions related to the rec- ognition of investments in technology companies as prospective investments. Therefore, this study examines the impact of Russia- Ukraine war (from February 2022 to December 2024) and the COVID pandemic (from March 2020 to February 2022) on the valuation of cybersecurity companies. The period from January 2015 to February 2020 was used as the comparative period. The research material consists of companies and stock indices from the American and Polish markets. The results of the research are inconclusive. In fact, there are some examples of companies that took advantage of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to achieve above-average returns. Such a business is risky, which is why these companies are achiev- ing above-average returns with increased shares price volatility. However, it turns out that automatically assigning a company to the cyber or IT category does not mean that it will be a good invest- ment in times of war or pandemic.

The Intervention and Impact of Digital Society on the Governance of Dual Equity Structure in Enterprises

Author(s): Shaohan LIN,Kangqiao XU,Kongge WANG,Ying HUANG,Yating YANG,Haojie LIAO / Language(s): English Issue: 86/2024

The digital society has become a prominent feature of today's era. Its highly interconnected, transparent, and intelligent characteristics are profoundly changing the governance mode and operational logic of enterprises. This article aims to explore the intervention and impact of digital society on the governance of dual equity structure in enterprises, and provide practical guidance for the sustainable development of enterprises. The dual equity structure, as a special corporate governance model, is characterized by granting different voting rights to different types of shares, achieving absolute control over the company by the management. However, this structure has also sparked many controversies, such as the possibility of management using control to harm shareholder interests, leading to management dictatorship, and so on. In the context of the digital society, enterprises face new challenges and opportunities in terms of information transparency, decision-making efficiency, and governance mechanisms.

Interventional Analysis of Music Therapy on Emotional Behavior in Children with Autism

Interventional Analysis of Music Therapy on Emotional Behavior in Children with Autism

Author(s): Lanqi ZHANG,Hyuntai KIM / Language(s): English Issue: 86/2024

Music therapy, as an emerging field of rehabilitation, has been studied by many people. However, it only proves the effectiveness of music therapy in addressing emotional and behavioral issues in children with autism, and there are no specific strategies and methods applicable to special education schools for reference. This study attempts to address this issue. This study adopted a cross subject multi trial design in a single subject experimental method, with music therapy as the independent variable. Using the emotional behavior of these four autistic children who cried for no reason as the dependent variable, data was collected during the baseline, intervention, and maintenance periods to verify the intervention effect of music therapy on emotional behavior. The research results indicate that music therapy has immediate, sustained, and generalized effects on typical emotional and behavioral problems in children with autism. After music therapy intervention, the frequency of emotional and behavioral problems in each of the four autistic children decreased significantly, their self-control ability improved significantly, and language interaction was significantly prolonged. Based on the observation of student expressions and actions, participation statistics, and family interviews, it can be seen that students are interested in the environment of visual music, rhythm training, and situational music. The correct grasp of the core concepts of music therapy and timely feedback on intervention content play a crucial role in the treatment effect in this study.

Recently, green packaging has become a hot topic for consumers and retailers, along with increasing environmental sustainability awareness. The benefit of packaging extends beyond protecting the product; it also aims to mitigate environmental issues caused by packaging waste. This study aims to test the antecedents of intention to purchase toward green packaging among young consumers and seeks to discover whether gender is an essential determinant to explain intention to purchase. A total of 276 university students in Surabaya, Indonesia, participated as respondents in this study. The results indicated that women have a higher level of intention to purchase toward green packaging than men. Moreover, the antecedents’ patterns of intention to purchase toward green packaging differ between men and women. The intention to purchase of green packaging for men was only influenced by perceived behavioral control (PBC) and willingness to pay (WTP); whereas the predictors for women are attitude, willingness to pa (WTP), subjective norm (SN), and indirect environmental concern (EN).

The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Aesthetic Procedures

The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Aesthetic Procedures

Author(s): Svetlana NIXON,Stefan COJOCARU / Language(s): English Issue: 86/2024

Throughout human history, the appearance of the body has affected the way people perceive themselves and the way they are perceived. Consequently, people have developed ways of changing it to conform to societal standards of beauty. Medical advancements and progress in aesthetic medicine have made beauty more accessible. In modern society, people increasingly think of the body as a “project and process,” making it a long-term investment in social status. Various studies on the relationship between individuals’ personal social status and external appearance have shown the two to be tightly interconnected. The outbreak of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic triggered the widespread use of online meeting platforms, e.g., Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc. This has brought about the “Zoom effect,” individuals’ stronger awareness of their looks, which has raised more interest in aesthetic treatments. Researchers emphasize the positive effect of aesthetic treatments in lifting moods and improving depression. This paper discusses socially-motivated behavior and the effect of individuals’ external appearance on their social status.

TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF MIGRATION

TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF MIGRATION

Author(s): Vesna Tasevska-Dudeska / Language(s): English Issue: 46/2024

Migration has been a constant phenomenon in human history. Throughout centuries the European continent has been a theatre of migratory movements that have contributed to shape the continent as we know it today. Growing levels of mobility nowadays are influenced by many factors, some being recurring conflicts, numerous crises, constant instability, economic imbalances, demographic developments, climate change as well as labor force demands and supplies. All these trigger a migration environment characterized by movements of people both voluntary and forced, both legal and illegal. However, the benefits of migration should be seen from the perspective of what migrants can bring to the destination country as well as the benefits in form of remittances for the country of origin. Some of the significant benefits migration brings to the destination countries are skilled workforce and cultural diversity, as well as improvements in the lives of communities in their countries of origin through the transfer of skills and financial resources. Although in general migration has always been perceived in a negative light, this paper contemplates to shed a new light on migration proposing a notion for its empowering transformation to societies and countries.
