This paper discusses the impact that an open space and outdoor teaching make on the students' health preservation and on the improvement of the learning process with the primary school students (aged 7 to 11). The aim of this paper is to use the theoretical analysis of the outdoor education and environmental learning to suggest a possible positive influence on children's health and a possible improvement of the teaching process. Having that as a starting point, this paper aims to show how the kindergarten and primary school children perceive the open air education and the time they spend outdoors, if it motivates them, if it helps easier and meaningful learning, if it makes the learning process more dynamic, more attractive and more desirable. Our presumptions have been based on the pedagogues and didacticians' attitudes about such learning. These professionals have supported and promoted the outdoor education since a long time ago, and therefore developed numerous didactic principles that are now being utilized and implemented. This paper has a theoretical character and thus it focuses on reviewing the benefits of outdoor activities and education to students' health and welfare, to improve teaching effectiveness and learning process and outcomes. Our research has been based on the applied theoretical and descriptive methods. The results of the research we have come to show that the time the students spend outdoors may have a significant, incentive and stimulating impact on their health and their motivation to learn.

Starting from the facts that show that choral singing provides multiple benefits in terms of general development of children, as well as that it is necessary to build a musically stimulating environment within primary school, the purpose of this paper is to present a model of working with choir made of the younger grades. Besides that, this paper provides concrete practical examples of choral teaching that will contribute to the better realization of the necessary elements of each choral work, such as audition, selection of compositions for work, methodical procedure of learning a new song, proper breathing, vocal warm-up and public performance. Each of these segments are very complex and demanding. We would like to emphasize that the model of working with the choir of the younger grades of primary school and its practical application, which we present, is the result of the content analysis provided by the previously consulted literature. The model provides concrete suggestions in working with pupils in choir classes. We believe that this work will be especially important for teachers who work, not only with the choir made of younger grades, but also with the class choir in order to discover new ways of artistic work. This model is just one of many possible aspects of the realization of choral teaching that relies on the recommendations discussed in the professional literature. We can expect the successful realization of the selected program only with a systematic and creative approach in choral work.

The proverbs and idioms have significant educational and pedagogical potential for achieving many teaching goals and forming the student's cultural identity. These short lexical forms can be assimilated into the child's speech, which contributes to the enrichment of vocabulary and the traditional transmission of folklore to new generations. The aim of this paper is to analyze the usage of idioms and proverbs that have elements of a living and inanimate nature in their structure or contain a comparison with natural phenomena. The research was carried out on the content of the textbook and a workbook of Nature and Society as well as the textbook of Serbian language for the third grade of elementary school. The paper emphasizes the necessity of an integrative approach toward explaining the meaning of these typical proverbs and idioms. Proposals for their methodical processing have been given so that students can easily understand the real connections between natural phenomena and the human need for the use of elements of nature in lexical constructions where they have a vividly conveyed meaning with a unique message.

Translating, rotation and symmetry, i.e. isometric mapping, and their compositions are transformations that do not distort the shape and size. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that various examples of isometric transformations encourage the early development of students' spatial reasoning. The basic starting points of this work are: (1) the connection between school geometry and spatial reasoning, and (2) the characteristics of spatial reasoning in children and instructions in encouraging the development of their spatial abilities. The results that have been obtained by the method of theoretical analysis show more approaches that encourage the development of spatial reasoning skills in children, from conversations with teachers and peers, game matching, drawing, and reconstruction of three-dimensional objects to the use of software packages and touch technologies. In isometric tasks, students first use visualization, to evaluate which forms are matched, compare forms, mentally and physically rotate the shapes received and recognize shapes from different perspectives. It has been concluded that there is clear evidence that even the youngest students, if offered high quality opportunities, can be engaged in challenging activities of isometric transformations. Therefore, transformations can be introduced to primary school students, not directly with explicit definition, but in an informal way, choosing an appropriate context so that geometric activities for students have meanings. In order for students to gain understanding and insight into these fundamentally difficult aspects of isometric transformations, they must be rooted in the experiences that students have on a daily basis, as well as in the tasks set by the teacher. Conclusions point out to the importance of designing isometric tasks and teacher mediation, especially with regard to the use of such software, as a catalyst for the development of culture, in a classroom, where teachers and students expand their beliefs about learning and understanding isometrics.

The quality of teaching and learning of mathematics depends on the tasks teachers give to students. Teaching contents are increasingly complemented by the introduction of problem mathematical tasks, in order to develop students' ability to solve problems. The main feature of the problematic tasks is that there is no known strategy for solving them, but, each time, mathematics knowledge is adapted and re-examined, in order to reach a new strategy that leads to the solution of tasks. The aim of this paper is to point out the importance of problem-solving skills to encourage the development of creative approaches to problem solving. The results obtained by the method of theoretical analysis show that finding a solution or predicting possible solutions is a necessary element of problem setting. It was concluded that classroom activities, using appropriate artifacts and interactive teaching methods, can encourage a more conscious approach to problem solving, as well as a positive attitude towards problem-setting. This requires specific teacher's knowledge in terms of problem design, content selection, appropriate context, and then knowledge in problem formulation. When assessing the issues they pose, teachers should pay attention to the pedagogical and mathematical significance of the given problem.

The paper discusses ways in which the stimulation of language competence is aligned with the view of the child offered by the Preschool Curriculum Framework (rich in potential, creative, whole being, being of play...) and provides suggestions for harmonizing traditional teaching practices, manifested in domain directed activities, with the project approach. The potential for integrating language play with the contents of other sub-domains of speech development and other developmental domains is highlighted. Attention is directed to stimulating the development of the morphological system, in order to shed light on two aspects of it: ways to stimulate the acquisition of (1) morphological (inflectional) and morphophonological patterns and of (2) derivational patterns. It is found that the kindergarten teacher's preparation for such subject requires an awareness of the ways of uncovering the derivated words, ways of introducing patterns, ways of representing the meaning of derivated words or their morphemes, understanding the derivational meaning, the selection of derivational patterns and examples, and how they are extracted from dictionaries. It is concluded that a quality holistic approach to the child requires not only the application of general pedagogical principles, but also of the principles of the subject, as outlined.

Motivation is usually defined as an internal state that governs and maintains behavior. It is a two-stage process, further implying that it is necessary to motivate both students and teachers in the teaching process. In this paper, we have implemented the strategy of successful READS reading and mapping on texts on learning motivation. Our goal is to create a "mind map" for teachers that is related to learning motivation. The tabular representation of theoretical orientations helps the teacher to revive his or her own learning. We have also dealt with an innovative way of organizing pupils' activities by avoiding the so lecture form of teaching. It is about motivational preparation for teachers for active teaching. The basic task of the paper is to present the metacognitive process from the teacher's point of view and to point out the importance of a successful selection of successful learning strategies.

It is commonly and methodically functional to introduce the grammar of linguistic phenomena through the analysis of the starting or the linguistic text. In addition to having to be saturated with a certain language appearance, such texts sometimes needed to link content from different areas of Serbian language teaching. In this paper, we refer to the so-called related language textbooks found in grammar textbooks in the fourth grade of elementary school. These texts were studied from the point of view of the methodological principles and requirements, but also of the linguistic knowledge on which grammar and spelling is taught. The aim of the research was to determine the nature and function of the related linguistic texts and to present them in the selected textbooks for grammar teaching, as well as to determine the quality of a supporting methodology device that should link the concrete text and the definition of the concept.

The paper presents the results of empirical research aimed at studying the relationship between students - future home teachers of the faculty of pedagogical science and educators who are in employment, according to persons with disabilities in development in inclusive education, in order to find possible in these relations improvements. Analysis of the obtained results leads to the conclusion that home educators show a positive attitude towards people with disabilities. Respondents showed a high level of agreement with the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in regular education (inclusion), inclusion in public work, while the obtained results indicate a very low ISV value where the respondents disagree with the statement that the environment is well received by people with disabilities underdevelopment. The positive value of the coefficient of correlation suggests that educated educators often state that they have acquired enough knowledge about working with people with disabilities but those who disagree or disagree with it. The largest number of students, home teachers, said they did not provide any support to people with disabilities, while jobseekers indicated that their support was professionally assisted by these people. The research results show that there are also difficulties that home teachers face in dealing with people with disabilities such as heavy communication and disapproval of the environment.

Outdoor orientation within the framework of ambient teaching provides the opportunity to connect the learned with its use in real life circumstances. Through an integrative approach through the game and discovery of students, we are able to see natural phenomena in interconnection and conditionality. Practical activities in the field of orientation in nature, as well as from cartographic literacy, instead of in the classroom, it is desirable to realize in nature. Apart from presenting the key characteristics of orientation in nature in accordance with current curricula, the papir elaborates, special attention is focused on methodological design of these contents and the design of different ways of realization. Students in environmental education on the topic of orientation in nature should recognize and creatively solve the problem in an authentic environment, making teaching different, more life-long and more interesting. Particular attention is paid to the use of digital technologies in this topic.

The tendency to modernize the teaching process of educational work, specifically in the teaching of literature, focuses as on a more creative approach in the study of literary-artistic texts. Teachers should encourage thinking about the text that is read, because it will allow the student to focus on important information, carefully think about what he has read, to understand and make it a part of his knowledge. Children need effective techniques and interesting activities that make it easier to understand the text and create the conditions for them, to read and write independently. Different techniques can be successfully achieved on the texts of a complex thematic, stylistic and aesthetic structure. Reading with prediction is a methodical strategy that awakens curiosity and encourages active reading for better understanding. In this paper is presented the possibility of applying reading with prediction, through the processing of the story "Mačak Toša otišao u hajduke", with pupils of third grade in elementary school.
