The purpose of the article is to analyze biobibliographic, thematic bibliographic and metabiographic editions of the period of independence of Ukraine, dedicated to the heroes-fighters for independent Ukraine 1917–1921, as well as bibliographic editions that include materials about these events in the context of formation of collective memory and national consciousness of the Ukrainian people, as well in the context of processes of the decommunization and creation of the national Ukrainian bibliography. The methodology of the research is to apply the principles of historicism, systematic-comparative, and source analysis. Scientific novelty: it was the first attempt in the Ukrainian bibliography to explore the history of going out and content of the bibliographic indexes dedicated to the heroes of the liberation struggle in 1917–1921. Conclusions. Longlasting non-recognition by the leadership of the state of the fighters for the independence of Ukraine of 1917–1921 as national heroes had a negative impact on the preparation of biobibliographical aids, dedicated to these figures, hindered the formation of the collective memory of the Ukrainian people and increased bifurcation of national consciousness of citizens. The revolutionary events at the turn of 2013–2014, the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and adoption of the law on decommunization did not deprive Ukrainian society of ambiguous attitude to national heroes of the liberation struggle 1917–1921. An example of this is the metabibliographic aids of the leading national libraries of Ukraine. The methodology of their conclusion is an obstacle to the creation of the Ukrainian national bibliography, which would be stand out among the Russian and Soviet.

Until 2005, the protocols of the meetings of the Odesa Provincial Commission Extraordinary Committee were kept in the archive unit of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Odesa oblast as "completely secret" and were not issued to researchers. In 2005, these documents were transferred to the Branch State Archive of the SBU. The archival and investigative cases, which are in temporary storage in the archival unit of the Ukrainian Security Service in Odessa Oblast, belong to two funds: "Main" and "Suspended". There are no descriptions of these funds, so the exact number of cases that they contain is unknown. Until 2015, the cases of the "Main" fund have not been available to researchers; access to the "Suspended" fund cases was limited and complicated. The main thesis of the article is that without the study of these archival materials, a comprehensive analysis of political terror is impossible. Of particular importance are the minutes of the meetings of the OHNK Board, which cover the period from February 28, 1920 to March 25, 1922. They include four main categories: "Present", "Reviewed", "Resolved" and "Marked as completed". The list of the present persons included the head of the OHNK, the secretary and members of the OHNK board. In the category "Reviewed", the full name, patronymic of the person, and their age were indicated. The obligatory attribute of this part of the protocol was the indication of what the particular person or group of individuals were accused of. The category "Resolved" contained the surname and initials of the person with their sentence. The last category, “Marked as completed” contained information on the implementation of the board decision.

As a result of several factors, in recent years, archiving in Kosovo has not been developed at high institutional levels.Managerial neglect to the extent of abuse in the last years before the war, lack of investment for optimal material conditions (technical-technological and spatial) as well as for the profiling of staff, become negative factors that hinder progressive progress in the professional work of archives. Consequently, the current situation is characterized by multidimensional aspects, which challenge the establishment and development of this activity. In terms of content, these challenges are related to low quality and insufficient legislation, registrations, their work and the state of documentation - archive material they manage, the lack of bylaws and especially its (non) implementation, lack of optimal housing conditions. , i.e. storage of archival material, for its protection and storage in their intended spaces, with the lack of equipment for air conditioning, for protection from moisture, rodents, mold, etc., with the lack of qualified and profiled staff.Such a situation is by no means even better today in public archival institutions, starting from the local to the central level (Archives in municipalities and other local institutions, Inter-Municipal Archives and the State Agency of Archives of Kosovo). The reflection of this situation in the "gro-plan", some ideas and reference proposals for facing these challenges and overcoming them are the objective and effort that are intended to be achieved with my brief elaboration within this topic.

The material I am presenting, consists of a serious scientific and historical handling of the work with documents in the Prefecture of Elbasan. The archival service in our country as the one in Elbasan Prefecture has been running throughout the stages of birth, formation and consolidation of the Albania state. The archival activity in this administrative local government unit has undergone several stages of development and growth. Starting from secretariats, correspondence offices (1912-1944) to archival offices at state institutions (1945-1990), as well as the establishment and functioning of the Local State Archives in the towns of Elbasan, Librazhd and Gramsh as centers of collections, preservation, arrangement and servicing of archive funds (1990-2017). In 2001, the Regional State Archive of the Elbasan Prefecture was established, as a coordination and management center of all archival work of the prefecture. The local state archive has actually accomplished one of the directions of its activity by obtaining and bringing all fund-creators documents (1945-1990)to the center, creating optimal conditions for their storage, scientific arrangement, and at the same time, to serve the archival funds within the framework of the motif “Free Society, Open Archives”. Currently the activity of the Elbasan Local State Archive is facing new challenges in line with the technological achievements in this field.

A very important methodological issue in the preservation of digitized documents is their preservation in the original, unchanged form. Another important issue is the provision of documents through the server (file), the prevention of which should be almost identical to the repository. In this context, it has been proven that if interference is made from outside or inside, the document will lose its authenticity. In addition to the document, the credibility of the institution is also damaged, an issue that clearly highlights the special role and importance of the digital document security factor. The topic I have researched aims to address the protection of digital documents from various interferences. The researched problem is mainly based on the latest relevant literature, which has been published in scientific and professional journals, web pages of well-known archives, as well as professional websites.Scientific methods have also been taken into account, such as: induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, as well as the method of comparison, these methods which, in addition to the scientific-methodological side, have made it possible for me to reach the supported result as easily as possible. professional-scientific, which in this case I consider a modest achievement related to the issue of protection of digitized documents.

The word Archive in our mind definitely gives us a lot of thoughts. The first thought would certainly be for a classical archive, an archive filled with original documentation of different times, an archive filled with funds and collections of legal or natural persons, but that all these documents different scholars, researchers need to go to the archive to be able to do different research. Meanwhile, the second opinion regarding this word would be an archive with many documents where researchers have access to what they are looking for from the computer, where it is known that nowadays this form of use in many different archives of the world is very applicable where we are not far from it. The most frequent users of archives who were taught that most of the time they have before them the archives and classical documentation now have in front of them an electronic archive completely different from the classic one but above all with the same role and importance that archives have and that has recently become very widespread. Within the archive which preserves, processes, arranges classical documents on paper, now each archive has its own part that deals with the electronic storage of documents. Electronic documents are notes where the information is such that it is suitable for research, processing and transfer with the help of digital computers and at the same time very convenient for the user. Nowadays, great importance is paid to the development of this archive, which is much more convenient but also more demanding.

To serve in the archive, in addition to commitment, also means maximum responsibility. Especially working in a warehouse or storage of archival documents requires maximum commitment and special dedication. Furthermore, I will call it a challenge in its own right, given the difficulties and problems that constantly accompany us, such as various problems of a technical nature, then the lack of tools and optimal conditions for the preservation of archival material, etc. Despite this reality, the State Archive of Kosovo continues its activity and activity intensively and with complete success. Archival documents are our memory, because they provide opportunities to recognize the various developments of political, legal, cultural, economic, educational processes, etc., from the past. Therefore, institutional care and responsibility should always be at the maximum level. Also, service and care to stakeholders should be at the highest level of responsibility. The Kosovo Archive did extraordinary extra work in taking care of the archive material and the parties, due to the fact that the archival material continues to come to us in a raw state since the last war, and of course this requires double work.

The terminological language in the archival representation process has not been studied enough in Albanian archival science. Archival representation is one of the basic processes in archival institutions. This process involves two important aspects, systematizing and documenting archival units, based on international and national archival standards. This paper deals with aspects related to the description of archival units and specifically the 128 elements of the indexing language. Indexing language is the artificial language that archivists create during the archive descriptive process creating, as a result, a controlled language. The controlled language that is produced enables access and re-functionalization of archival units. Much of the archival institutions in the country are investing in the creation of integrated systems that allow the use of archival collections in distance. This is a very good opportunity for users to put archive information systems in direct contact with users without the presence of an archivist. This new development in communicating with users brings to our attention, the particular care we need to show towards the language of the information system we plan to establish. The paper analyzes the cases found in some databases created by archival institutions and comes to concrete conclusions related to the need to standardize the index language not only for a normal access by users to archival collections, but also to enable co-operation between archives and exchange of archival information both nationally and regionally.

Every state or local institution, large or small, functions by leaving traces through official / archival documents and its activity. This trace is determined by the documents it produces, by their secretary-archives. These documents, after being produced, in most cases serve the dynamics of the work of the institution that produces it, while at these secretaries-archives their storage, protection and technical processing is done until they are submitted to the relevant local state archive. Acceptance and submission of archival material to the local state archives is regulated by the Law on Archives in the Republic of Albania, dated 6.11.2003, which is in fact the basic law that regulates the entire activity of the Archival Network of the Republic of Albania. Archival documents created by local institutions upon the expiration of the term of operational service by the fund creator, are submitted to the local archive competent for permanent storage in accordance with the legislation in question. The archival fund is the memory of a state or people, which through what we create, preserve, protect and prove the historical memory, prove who we were, how we lived and acted. So, in a word, through archival documents we preserve and tell the past our historical.

The Albanian League of Prizren (June 10, 1878), the years of the League 1878-1881, are of crucial importance for modern Albanian history. During these three years, an Albanian national movement was born, for the first time in the public and European opinion (after Skanderbeg) which took place. We are aware of the existence of the Albanian issue. The role and importance of the Albanian League of Prizren, to this day remains a strong link in the Albanian historical vertical, and especially in the beginning of the articulation of the Project for the unification of the Albanian Vilayets into a single autonomous whole. Processes of the time (creation of states) through which the region and European countries went. This study aims to present the primary role and importance not only of documents published to date from various archives, but also the need for further research to see the light of the numerous documents found in various archives that speak of this important event.

This article is a comparative analysis of two descriptions of walking in ghettoes – the Warsaw and the Łódź one. Moving within the methodological framework of the spatial turn in the contemporary humanities and basing on texts produced then and there, the author analyzes the records of the experience of the Holocaust space in the two largest Jewish ghettoes in occupied Europe. Focusing on records of sensory experiences, he analyzes Stanisław Różycki’s texts from the collection „Street Scenes from the Ghetto.” Scenes from the Life of the Warsaw Ghetto and his study „The Street.” The Appearance and Social Life of the Street in the Ghetto (published in volume 1 of the English edition of the Ringelblum Archive), and also Dr. Bernard Heilig’s reportage from the Łódź ghetto entitled “The First Seven Months in the Litzmannstadt Ghetto” (published in The Chronicle of the Łódź Ghetto and in an anthology of texts from the Łódź ghetto entitled Oblicza getta [faces of the ghetto]). Based on these records of walking in the ghetto space, the author attempts to answer the question as to how exactly it was perceived and experienced by Jews locked inside them. This article is a contribution to broader reflections on the topic of the sensory experience of the Holocaust space.

Powstała w 1944 r. Centralna Żydowska Komisja Historyczna dziś jest kojarzona przede wszystkim z tytanicznym wysiłkiem zebrania wszelkiego rodzaju materiałów dotyczących zagłady Żydów. Bez spisywanych przez pracowników Komisji relacji świadków, uzyskanych pamiętników i dokumentów badanie Zagłady byłoby prawie niemożliwe; są one materiałem źródłowym wykorzystywanym w niemal każdym opracowaniu naukowym poświęconym losom Żydów w okupowanej Polsce.

Based on archival analysis our paper presents the research which, for the first time, examines the role of opium in some of the nation-states emerged from the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire — Bulgaria, Turkey and Serbia (later the Kingdom of Yugoslavia); tracing the period before World War II. During the interwar period 43% of the opium on the international market came from the contested Macedonian region that was split between Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Greece after World War I. Following the Yugoslavian-Turkish agreement this percentage increased to 80%, while the Balkans became part of the notorious French connection. By using the methods of Histoire croisée, our report attempts to show the interrelations within the Balkan states in relation to opium politics, the porous new national borders, ethic collaboration and rivalry in the (il)legal opium trade business.

Today the digital world is at its highest development. Like any other institution, the Archives face the challenge of digitalizing its activity, however, this process is more complicated than other processes, it requires great professionalism and such dedication, but above all financing whether internal or external, private or institutional. Initially, the Archive had as its mission the collection of archival material and its preservation, but now the Archive as an educational institution has other missions which are at the same time very significant as the two above, divisions such as: systematization, regulation, classification, publication, conservation, restoration and digitalization, today they are not only a mission for the Archive but at the same time they are very important sectors-departments for the Archive as an institution and not only. Digitalization as a sector or department in itself is just as important for both the Archive and the citizen, where its work and function is required and seen as the most complex part, but also as the purest part for both users. For the Archive, digitalization is an endless process, this process requires the latest equipment, software, and this necessarily conditions the updating of the storage of documentation, which we perform by transferring or migrating the subject to a newer program or apparatus. This procedure aims to advance the work and shorten the time of operational or scientific work such as: avoiding excessive paperwork, saving time for providing archive material in warehouses, compiling state encyclopedias, various scientific works such as: scientific research, personal research, educational research (diploma), etc.
