ბერნარდე ნეაპოლელისეული ხელნაწერები

ბერნარდე ნეაპოლელისეული ხელნაწერები

Author(s): Gaga Shurgaia / Language(s): Georgian Issue: 17/2016

Contemporary Libyan prosaist, short story writer and novelist, awardee of numerous literary prizes, one of the best authors of modern Arabic novel, Ibrahim al-Koni is best described by his own words: “I don’t live anymore in the desert but the desert still lives in me”. The breath of desert, its colors are very strong in the writer’s life and works. He feels the heartbeat of the desert, the philosophy of living in the desert, laws of life and death with some sixth sense. The writer offers to the readers of his novels amazingly vivid illustrations of the desert lifestyle that has not changed up to present, the moral code, the laws and philosophy of life and death, the doctrine of classical Sufism in today’s life.Fate, time, fluidity of life, talisman and the destiny of people linked with one another with amazing creative power leads the readers to the miraculous mystic world and makes him think in a new way about all this.BN Ibrahim al-Koni is not the only one who chose desert as the main theme of his literary work. However, the thing for which Ibrahim al-Koni is outstanding among the ones who have perfectly knowledgeable at the rules of the desert, leaves an endless trace on his view as a writer. That natural peace and quiet, which the open space of the desert has that can eliminate any sorrow of a man, can purify the spirit of a person from evil and fill with magical energy; it is the place of running away from reality and shelter in the realm that has not been discovered yet – “lost paradise”, the purity of which is delivered to the reader in an unspoiled manner by the author. This writer, locked in Arabic world like Libya itself, suddenly opened up to the remained world and gained intoxicating success and popularity. What makes Ibrahim al Koni’s “magic realism”, unique manner of his prose and distinguished writer’s idiom?! In the opinion of literary critics, the key to his success is thorough awareness in the desert laws and love and deep knowledge of Sahara and Russian literature. On the example of “Gold Dust”, Ibrahim al-Koni’s famous novel, this article emphasizes, on one hand, adherence to the pre-Islamic literary traditions and equestrian code of honor and on the other – the contrasts, opposing pairs on which this small novel is built. Popularity of the contrasts is clearly seen in thematic collisions and emphasizing of conflicting qualities of the characters. These opposing pairs, with their qualities, underline the main antithesis, these are:spiritual values – worldly values (signs of destiny, craft of fate) and emphasize conceptual difference between them.Death of the main character of the novel, Ukhayad and his sign – dream about himself, locked in the dark house, the nightmare from his childhood, is the Suf metaphor of freeing from the individual’s worldly prison – life and body – and joining the eternity of soul.

Author(s): Magdalena Heruday-Kiełczewska / Language(s): Polish Issue: 1/2017

In 2012 the Association Solidarité France-Pologne passed its archive to the Polish Library in Paris. It is the evidence of the activity of the Association set up in 1980. Its main task was to facilitate Polish-French contacts and to help the Polish society during the martial law. After 1989 the Association was actively involved in promoting non-governmental initiatives. The collection is divided into two chronological series, which are further subdivided into sub-series embracing strictly defined fields of the Association’s activity. The collection includes documents of various types, both files and audiovisual materials. The materials were sorted out in the way that at the beginning of each series there appeared documents connected with the management of the Association, followed by correspondence, documents divided according to various fields of activity, leaflets and press. The archival documents may complement the current research on the aid offered to “Solidarity” by Western Europe and may become a contribution to new research concerning the appearance of civil society in Poland and the role of French institutions in it.

Author(s): Natalia Kolosova / Language(s): Ukrainian Issue: 10/2018

Purpose of Article. A purpose of the work is to study the features of princely patronage on the example of prince V.K. Ostrozkyi and to analyze his role in the history of philanthropy of Ukraine at the end of the 16th and early 17th centuries. Methodology of the research applies historical-comparative and art-study methods. The scientific novelty of the work consists in expanding the notion of princely patronage activity and his contribution to the processes of national revival of Ukraine in the second half of the 16th — the first half of the 17th century. The conducted analysis makes it possible to say that the patronage of prince V.K. Ostrozkyi has a prominent story. Countless riches of V.K. Ostrozkyi gave him the opportunity to provide important cultural projects materially , the most relevant of which were related to book printing and schooling. Prince was a recognized leader of the Orthodox opposition, took an active part in the religious and political life of that time, enjoyed tremendous authority. The magnitude of the cultural contribution of prince V.K. Ostrozkyi is identical to the scale of his personality as a patron and cultural figure, and as the generator of important cultural creative initiatives. Conclusions. Patronage activity of prince V.K. Ostrozkyi was a continuation of the princely patronage of Kyiv Rus and the apex of the princely patronage of Ukraine in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

Author(s): Smaranda Liana Cioban / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2018

The present paper presents the benefits of engaging children into projects of creating media. Starting from the connection between media and children rights, the paper shows that promoting media literacy is essential for ensuring that children have access to their rights. However, media literacy is not a unitary concept, each perspective adding value on the way children’s access to media needs to be understood. Moreover, the paper argues that media represents a tool of empowering children, especially when children are actively involved into media production. Getting involved into media production facilitates the freedom of expression of children and gives them a voice in society. The movie produced during the Course Children and Media represents an asset in acknowledging society about children’s rights and also in teach children how to produce media, considering that it encourages them to see themselves as competent.

Javne biblioteke kao prostori integracije i osnaživanja migrantica

Author(s): Ajla Demiragić,Lejla Hajdarpašić,Džejla Khattab / Language(s): Bosnian Issue: 2/2019

The Council of Europe's Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023, without neglecting the improtant issue of voluntary and forced migration in the European area and particular ''vulnerability'' of migrant women and girls, addresses the protection of the rights of migrant, refugees and asylum-seeking women and girls in the fifth strategic objective by stressing out that ''measures need to be taken to ensure that migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women have acces to their human and social rights in relation to individual freedom, employment, housing, health, education, social protection and welfare where applicable; and acces to information about their rights and the services available.'' In this regard, European experiences after the great migration wave from 2015 have already shown that the full and successful integration of migrant women and girls into European society requires the collaborative work of numerous national and international bodies, governmental and non-governmental sectors, and other relevant insitutions and organizations, including libraries that should address special attention ''to groups which are often marginalized in culturally diverse societies: minorities, asylum seekers and refugees, residents with a temporary residence permit, migrant workers, and indigenous communities.'' (IFLA / UNESCO Multicultural Library Manifesto 2008). In this context, this paper will provide an overview of selected programs and services targeted at migrant women in public libraries in the European area. In conclusion, paper highlights the important role of public libraries in the processes of linguistic and social integration of migrant women, and points out the need for continuous improvement of programs and services designed for migrant women, which should be an integral part of diversified public library services.

Archiwum dekanalne – podstawy prawne

Archiwum dekanalne – podstawy prawne

Author(s): Mieczysław Różański / Language(s): Polish Issue: 112/2019

The function of the dean’s archive is not regulated in the canon law of the Catholic Church. The duties of a dean, who is the bishop’s close associate, require an independent dean’s office. The records produced by Polish synods recognise the necessity of establishing the dean’s archive, which can preserve the records and documentation produced by a dean or collected by him from parishes in accordance with the laws. The regulations of the synods require running the dean’s archive as an institution independent of parish archives, but they do not specify in detail how these records should be preserved and made available, and when the materials ought to be transferred to the central historical archives in the diocese.

Towards the Development of an Innovative Platform for the Systematization and Preservation of the Romanian Literary Patrimony

Towards the Development of an Innovative Platform for the Systematization and Preservation of the Romanian Literary Patrimony

Author(s): Veronica Gavrilă,Lidia Bajenaru,Ciprian Dobre / Language(s): English Issue: Suppl. 1/2019

In this paper we present a solution that represents both an open portal to the digital era and also a possible answer to the problems of preservation and conservation of the Romanian literary patrimony. This solution consists in the development of a digital platform, by which literary works, manuscripts, editions of a work, bibliographies, dictionaries of Romanian Literature and many other documents will be stored, analyzed and processed. It will also facilitate quick access to literature and related materials for everyone. The development of an integrated software platform will represent the basis for the communication and distribution of materials from the field of Romanian literary culture to a large audience, information that will be available in any field: academic, scientific, personal development etc. Thus, it is possible to digitize documents from the cultural heritage, promote them both nationally and internationally, protect original documents, allow simultaneous viewing by many users, and allow remote access anytime. Thus, this proposal will contribute to systematization and preservation the Romanian literary patrimony by extracting and structuring knowledge from data sources such as the General Dictionary of Romanian Literature, The Chronology of Romanian Literary Life (1944–2000) and other such structured sources and unstructured ones provided by the Institute of History and Literary Theory. An important goal of the platform is to provide access to information and the related literature in an easy-to-access online environment.

Encoding Textual Variants of the Early Modern Slovenian Poetic Texts in TEI

Encoding Textual Variants of the Early Modern Slovenian Poetic Texts in TEI

Author(s): Nina Ditmajer,Matija Ogrin,Tomaž Erjavec / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

The paper deals with the problem of encoding the verses and textual variants in the critical edition of Foglar’s Manuscript, a Styrian Baroque hymn book from the mid-eighteenth century. We first show the diplomatic transcript of the verse in selected problematic cases, after which we present the method applied to produce a critical apparatus for approaching textual variants. The base text, i.e. Foglar’s Manuscript, is compared with versions in eight other manuscripts and prints from the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Variants are encoded with XML elements according to the TEI Guidelines as units of the critical apparatus. We highlight some examples of the detailed encoding of rhymes, feet, verse replacements, and textual variants on the spelling, vocabulary and lexical levels of the language. To conclude, we present a number of possibilities for the online display of the electronic diplomatic transcript. The need for the adaptability of these tools to the Slovenian literary tradition is evident.
