Although there should be a positive climate in school, and any form of violence should be kept under control, there may be forms of violence both between students and between teachers or, unfortunately, between teachers and students. The article outlines methodological guidelines for the development of thinking in education. Relevant and productive is the thinking that aims not only to explain the unknown, but also to find the unknown and the unbelievable in the known and the obvious. This is a thinking of a different order, which is first in overcoming the existing boundaries, in “combining of not combined”, i.e. different, not reduced, etc. Its vitality is possible only if it constantly changes, destroys, balancing on the brink of chaos. It is emphasized that this thinking is not carried out in a well-defined way, it moves in agendas and changes in different directions, overcoming the boundaries of outlined representations, opening new horizons of understanding of being and place in it. It is argued that the development of thinking in education aims to move from learning focused mainly on memorizing a certain amount of knowledge to self-conscious understanding of them.

The aim of the study presented in the article was to examine how sexuality, which is subject to a linguistic and cultural taboo, is approached in Polish translations of educational books for children and youth, and to check whether and in what respect they differ from local productions. We also took into consideration the links between the means of expression and the time of the works’ publication, their ideological profile and the age category of the intended audience. The study was carried out on a corpus of 111 books on sex education addressed to children and teenagers and published in Poland in the period between 1945 and 2018. We analysed ‘sexualisms’ (understood here as words or phraseologisms used to express the content of the sexual sphere) present in the books and referring to male and female genitals and sexual intercourse. The analysis showed that the vocabulary choices made by the authors and translators often transgressed moral standards and had a significant impact on the form and changes of common language behaviour.
