ФУДБАЛСКИ ТРЕНЕРИ О ПОТРЕБИ ЗА ПСИХОЛОЗИМА У ФУДБАЛУ

Author(s): Mirjana P. Vuksanović,Predrag Počuča / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2020

Increasingly, importance in sports is being given to the psychic factors, which has triggered numerous studies. Inour research, we examined the views of football coaches on the need to involve psychologists in their work with athletes - football players. Interview and survey techniques were used in this research. Thirty football coaches of different ages, work experience and education were surveyed. While all respondents agree it is necessary to have psychologists involved in the work with football players, they do not understand all the ways a psychologist can contribute to the success of a team. Football coaches believe psychologists should be primarily engaged in the individual work with football players who face specific psychological issues, then in evaluating their psychological characteristics and assessing their performance, and the least for motivational skills and psychological preparations for the game.

This paper aimed to examine the participation of young people in sports and recreational activities in rural areas of the Republic of Serbia. A total of 539 respondents participated in the study, of which 265 were female and 274 were male aged 15-30. All project participants were directly involved in the survey process using a questionnaire containing eleven questions. The results of the study showed that 79.2% of young women and 61.7% of young men in rural areas were not actively involved in sports. About 25% of young people do not participate in any sports and recreational activities at all. 59.2% of young women and 29.2% of young men in rural areas have never participated in sports and/or sports and recreational competitions. 11.3% of young women in rural areas and 10.2% of young men in rural areas are unable to swim and 5.3% of young women in rural areas and 3.3% of young men in rural areas are unable to ride a bicycle. On the whole, the development of sports and physical culture in the countryside lags behind the general development of this activity in relation to the narrower area of Serbia (especially in relation to urban areas), as well as in relation to the objective and subjective needs of the rural population in this area. This is, first of all, reflected in the fact that the current rural population participating in the sports system and physical culture is not at a satisfactory level.

As an organized physical activity, sport requires activation of physical and psychological dimensions of a young person; the social aspect of sports constitutes its inseparable part. These features give an important role to sporting activities in beneficial impact on health, understood as individual’s state of physical, spiritual and social welfare. This paper deals with physiological and psychological mechanisms in young athlete’s organism influenced by physical (sporting) activity as well as sociological aspects of training in lives of individuals and their surroundings. The technological progress has made the life of the contemporary man easier, which left the immense potential that the human organism has for physical activity neglected and unused. There is numer-ous scientific evidence underpinning the statement that physical inactivity causes numerous chronical diseases and is one of the major issues in the public health system of the developed part of the world. In the past several years, the World Health Organiza-tion has drawn the attention of the global community to the importance of physical activity in the prevention of different diseas-es. The influence of sport on health spreads beyond its exclusively physical aspects. It affects young person’s character, fosters and develops strategic thinking, analytical decision-making, leadership skills, setting one’s objectives and taking risks.

The usage of doping in sport is one of the bigest problem in contemporary sport. The sample of our research were athletes who had admited usage of doping during their sport carear. Results shows that athletes are not sufficiently informed about the harmfullness and consequences of doping, or they just dont care. They start to take doping relativly young. Almoust all are convinced that their opponents use doping and thus justify themselves. It turned out that the athletes are concerned only for the so-called sports sanctions, dont care about misdemeanor or criminal responsibility of those who use doping, as well as for the consequences for their health. The use of doping among the athletes can significantly affect the work of the sports organization.

Organizations are under increasing pressure today to show that they are consistent in the application of social responsi-bility standards and to actively participate in environmental activities. The basic idea of the concept of social responsibility is that an organization should not only look at profit, as the main and only goal towards which it is directed, but also to pay attention to how and in what way it implements its business activities and how it affects the environment in which it operates. On sample of sports organizations from the Republic of Serbia it is determined that they do not possess a certificate confirming that the system of social responsibility of the organization that has established and applies is in accordance with the standard for ISO 26000 social responsibility systems, or a certificate for any other ISO standard.

Author(s): Ina Vladova,Nikolai Hristov / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2017

The aim of this research is to study the attitude of high-school students from Bulgarian secondary educationinstitutions (VIII, IX, X and XI class) in regard the discipline during the physical education and sport classes. We expectthe results from this study to provide us information about the students’ discipline during classes from their ownperspective. Object of the study is the opinion of 205 students from 5 schools in Sofia, Bulgaria. The average age ofthe respondents was 16 years while the distribution by gender was almost equal. For the achievement of the aim andfor collection of empirical data on the issue were elaborated questionnaires and inqiry forms for the students. Thecollected data was processed using mathematical and statistical methods for quantitative processing and analysis:frequency and variation analysis as per approved statistical procedure – by applying the SPSS 21 for Windowsstatistical program. The achievement of good discipline during classes depends on the professional skills of the sportpedagogues, it depends also on the students and indirectly on their parents. The students, responding to the inquiryassessed the role of their teachers in physical education and sport for maintaining the discipline during the classesusing the evaluation scale applied in the Bulgarian educational system (from 2 to 6). The average score at n=187 wascalculated to Excellent 5.63 (Min=3, Max=6). An important condition for ensuring a good discipline is to organisethe learning lesson in a diverse, dynamic and interesting way, which proves once again the inter-relation betweeneducation and training.

Motor ability in the scope of skills characterized by the willingness and readiness of both rider’s and horse’slocomotive system to oppose the various gravitational, centrifugal and centripetal forces as well as inertia, imposed byaccelerating or decelerating movement, has been defined as balance. Considering the importance of balance within thedevelopment of cognitive, neuro-motor, sensory-motor, psycho-motor and socio-emotional skills of children and youthwith special needs, the research has been conducted to determine the significance of therapeutic horseback riding interms of balance development among subjects with special needs. Therapeutic horseback riding is a supplement to theexisting rehabilitation programs (faster achievement of therapeutic goals). The therapy itself provides a new quality andcontribution to the subject’s health condition overall. The structure and the movement of human and horse’s pelvisesare very similar and therefore while on the horseback subjects feel as if they walk by themselves. Physically speaking, the outcome of aforementioned process is correction of the subject’s balance. The horse in the motion constantlyunbalances the rider. To maintain on the horseback, rider must engage the specific group of muscles i.e. counterbalancethe movement of the horse. The study encompasses nine test subjects, users of therapeutic horseback riding programfor children and youth with special needs, out of which six males and three females, four with Down syndrome (Down›ssyndrome), one with mild mental retardation, one with cerebral paralysis, one with hemiparesis, two with disharmonicdevelopment (one child displays symptoms of mild mental retardation whereas the other one shows preserved intellectualcapacity). The longitudinal survey by using a battery of balance tests has primarily revealed balance improvement as wellas significant progress in terms of cognitive, physical, emotional, social, educational and behavioral characteristics ofchildren and youth with special needs, i.e. users of therapeutic horseback riding program.

Each transition in elite sport career can bring relief, depression, joy or other similar psychological feelings, ora combination of some of them, depending on one›s individual perception of the situation. All athletes are expected toleave the field of high sport performance and to find new challenges and a new way of life, one day. So, terminationof sport career can be described as an inevitable event that will happen in the life of every athlete sooner or later.Athletes end their sports career for several reasons, including age, injury, the decline of their sports performance, gradualchanges in the status of the sport, the problems with the sports community and institutions, or for the sake of someother interests. This is where there is no difference between male and female athletes. Factors that come from the sportsenvironment are the same or similar nature. However, the basic difference in the reasons for termination of sports careermale athletes compared to female athletes, make a slightly different reasons, which are not directly related to the sport.Usually it comes to issues of a personal nature, problems within the family, the ability to choose a new profession andas the most important and common, natural need to form their own families and establishing the role of the mother.

Author(s): Ivana Parčina,Nina Đukanović,Damir Ahmić / Language(s): Serbian Issue: 1/2017

Following the evolution of the Olympic Games we can see that the athletes, in order to achieve victory, oftenuse certain illicit substances to enhance their mental and physical performance. Trying to show the superiority of theAryan race, Hitler allowed the German athletes to use illicit stimulants at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 to achievethe best results. The consequences of doping are immeasurable. It has been found that the use of different means andmethods of doping leads to serious health problems, and in some cases even death. The fight against doping is a questionof ethics and is associated with the fundamental principles of the Olympic movement. With the fall of the Berlin Wall in1989 and the opening of the Stasi files, it was discovered that many East German athletes used various illegal means, and they were encouraged to do so by their coaches and by the state policy service. In 1988, the first trial of thosecharged with grievous bodily harm to 142 female swimmers and athletes was held in Berlin. Manfred Ewald, the longtimedirector of the Olympic program of Eastern Germany and his chief doctor Manfred Hapner, director of the formerEast German sports and medical service, were accused of giving athletes very large amounts of steroids between 1974and 1989. All these female athletes were victims of a doping campaign sponsored by the state aimed at confirming theirsuperiority by winning the Olympic gold.

Author(s): Damir Ahmić,Haris Alić / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2018

Research was conducted on a sample of 20 clubs from seven European countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. The sample consisted of 10 clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 10 clubs from Europe. All clubs had a first division status in their countries and some even had major experience playing in the European competitions. In the paper we used a comparative analysis of the status of these clubs when it came to material and human resources, a comparative analysis of the clubs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and foreign clubs, as well as statistically significant differences between the clubs. The shown results briefly talk about the status of the clubs, their funding, costs, professional management and status in terms of competitions. The answers are different in character for all the given questions. Based on the obtained results the status in the local and foreign basketball clubs can be seen. The differences that are proven can be the guide to successful functioning of the clubs. Also certain results obtained may serve as a benchmark of business operations in the clubs.

SPORTS TEACHERS AND THEIR ROLE IN SPORT

SPORTS TEACHERS AND THEIR ROLE IN SPORT

Author(s): Janez Vodičar / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2018

The main purpose is to describe the problems concerning the professional practice of teachers and coaches. This topic has not been a frequent subject of authors in the field of sports science. More often the problems of athletes are described. However, the development of a sports culture depends considerably on the organization and professional development of the coaching profession. The most developed countries that have a high level of sports culture development pay increasingly more attention to the problems of the professional role of a coach. Questions are being raised and dealt with regarding the social role of the coaching profession, especially the professional qualifications of coaches. The belief that a coach can be any former athlete or even sports enthusiast is being replaced by new views that regard the role of a coach as a serious professional and social problem. Coaches are responsible for the training process of athletes. Their work involves a great number of narrow expertise areas for which they must be appropriately qualified. A coach’s role is not only that of a trainer, but also of an educator, teacher, psychologist, manager, consultant, animator, technologist, masseur, physiotherapist, etc. In order to successfully perform the professional role of a coach a person must first acquire the proper education and specific professional competence in a chosen sport or form of sports activity. This fairly broad variety of professional competences calls for a substantial leap forward from the current understanding of the system of professional training. Until now many coaches were trained in training courses consisting of 75 to 300 hours, but there is an urgent requirement for coaches with an academic degree. The professional role of coaches is becoming the subject of national strategies that strive to place this profession among those that are socially regulated. Part of the effort has also been made in Slovenia by passing the Sports Act. Unfortunately, the law requires certain changes and should work more in favour of ensuring the adequate quality of the coaching profession in Slovenia. This calls for a greater contribution by those involved with higher education and the training of coaches in Slovenia. The programs of higher education institutions are still not adapted to the specific needs of the various sports and the specific characteristics of the professional practice of trainers. Moreover, not enough attention is paid to practical training and the acquisition of specific practical professional skills. Even more neglected is the area of specific professional knowledge, methods, skills, and techniques. Higher educational institutions emphasize a theoretical cognitive approach to learning, which is of course important, but mostly for scientific research work that coaches do not engage much in when practicing their profession. This is why this monograph describes the hypothetical area of the various components typically defining the professional role of a coach. Most of these components will require much more social and scientific professional attention in the future.

Engaging in sports activities is far more important that any other activity of young age because of the impact it has on young individuals, on the development of their personality, the self-awareness and place in the society, on the establishment of their team and leadership potential. For children and young people, sports are an exceptional educational and socializing activity, which can considerably enrich their growing up period and prepare them for their adult roles and responsibilities. The research has shown that taking active part in sports can be very beneficial and that it fosters responsible social behavior, better school performance, acquisition of moral values and healthy habits. Sport gives children and young people opportunity to learn. It is the way to practice their life. Participation in sports, in particular in team sports, teaches the young people about team work, leadership, self-discipline, responsibility, tolerance, it develops their problem solving skills, teaches them how to be persistent, to respect authority, to develop work habits, it strengthens their character, self-esteem and self-confidence. Games and sports are anthropological constants of childhood and youth. Children and young people like sports for the simple fact that it is sports, for the game and the excitement resulting from it, for the challenge of competition, for the pleasure of taking part and for the joy of victory and the sadness of defeat. Playing games offers children the stimulus and the physical activity their brain needs for future learning. It is by playing that children explore, invent and create. They develop social skills and ways of thinking, they learn how to handle their feelings, to improve their physical capabilities and to discover their own selves and their own capacities. Children’s game provides a solid basis for lifelong learning. Through playing, recreation and sports, children and young people learn how to reason and think critically while finding solutions for problems. They improve their own spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play, they learn team work, self discipline, trust, respect of others, leadership and problem solving skills. In order for children to become as responsible and caring adults, these activities have predominant significance. They help young people face challenges and prepare them to take over leadership roles in their communities. Games with rules and inevitable team work have an important role in school children's life. They help them to develop their own physical skills and practice cooperation, mutual understanding and logical thinking. They teach them how to shift roles between members of their own team, how to share, how to respect their peers while observing the rules.

The aim of this paper was to define gender dimorphism and model of basic indicators for evaluating leg extensors force-time characteristics, in top level volleyball players. Thirty-nine top level volleyball players of bothgenders (EliteMALE, N=19; EliteFEMALE, N=20) performed a standardized “isometric leg press” test in order to assess thecharacteristics of isometric force from their leg extensors. The results of all observed absolute and relative indicators forthe estimation of the isometric force of the leg extensor indicate that they are beter values measured in male volleyballplayers at the level of Wilks Lambda 0.055, F=23.803, p=0.000. Also, it was founded that there are statistically significantdifferences in the examination of the contractile sub-space in relation to the subjects: FmaxLEGEXTISO F=44.251,p=0.000; FallomLEGEXTISO F=16.077, p=0.000; tFmaxLEGEXTISO F=23.731, p=0.000; RFDallomLEGEXTISO F=67.297,p=0.000; RFDBASICLEGEXTISO F=73.121, p=0.000; IndexSNGBASIC F=24.989, p=0.000. Modifying national sports activities, introducing rules and uniforms, and standardizing the playing field have created sports activities that follow the needs of the society in which they are created. The introduced sports activities are adapted to thegiven concept of femininity, and physical contact is excluded from the games. A woman is treated as an intuitive, compassionate andgentle being, directed towards marriage and family, and this quality must not be violated by the intensified male playing of sports.Concepts such as those that saw a woman’s job as less important than a man’s have contributed to creating a basis for change insociety that includes accepting lucrative jobs for women. The pressure on the woman’s responsibility in the industrial society hasgrown, and thus has exacerbated her position as she has very little free time anyway. Certain positions that women had taken whenplaying sports in the past could have caused scandals, and the imposed restrictions were uncomfortable, including a dress code.

Because of the high number of risk factors and the contra-indications, diagnostics and prognostics get more and more important. Diagnostics and prognostics are used to identify problems, to point risk factors and to direct us towards the selected program of therapy, prevention, recreation, sports recreation or sports. There is almost no person who does not have a medical problem, either cardiovascular, endocrine, or postural. The aim of this paper is the diagnosis of morpho-functional status in the population surveyed, divided into three groups. 106 respondents were covered - the first group consisted of professional swordsmen, the second were specific professionals and a third group were recreational players. The selected tests of morphological indicators, as well as indicators of the functional response to physical loads, enable the identification of the basic structure of the morpho-functional space. By statistical data processing and detailed analysis of the results obtained in all three groups, it has been concluded that the selected morphological indicators, as well as the indicators of functional response to body loads, enable the identification of the basic structure of the morpho-functional motor space. The experiment was carried out by implementing an explorative factor analysis, which produced the structure of six latent variables. The importance of this work is in monitoring the problems of modern man, stress and fatigue. The necessity of dealing with this problem in practice indicates the dominant fact about the speed of obsolescence of the program in practice. Therefore, a great deal of knowledge about diagnostics and prognosis is required, as well as the application of modern scientific achievements.
