Summary/Abstract: Sports facilities are of great importance for the sport development. Correctly allocation of funds for upbuilding sports infrastructure is vital for the country. This paper examines the priorities of the sports infrastructure development. At the aim to determine the priorities for the sports infrastructure development are analyzed relevant documents in sports related to the sports infrastructure development. Especially studied Law on Sports and Sports Development Strategy in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2014-2018. Based on the priorities established by the proposed criteria for selection of projects that could be implemented with funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia. The work provides practical recommendations for the proper planning of sports infrastructure and the allocation of funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
