More...The Journal is devoted to the study of contemporary European politics and society and its integral component within political science. It comprises theory, empirical work and policy analysis. A particular emphasis is placed on the perspective of Central Eastern Europe. The CES will publish articles by political scientists and other scholars engaged in political research. At the same time the Journal aims to be accesible to policy-makers and practioners and seeks to encourage informed debate on European issues. Preference will be given to articles of theoretical or comparative nature, but short research notes, review articles and reviews on books and other publications in specific areas of political science will also be published. More...Rossica Olomucensia: A Journal for Russian and Slavonic Philology is a peer-reviewed non-impact journal that serves as a media platform for the Department of Slavonic Studies of the Philological Faculty of Palacký University, Olomouc.
Rossica Olomucensia was registered with the Department of Culture of the Czech Republic in 2008 (registration no. 18418). The journal has two issues a year. The volume numbers continue the numbering of the previous annually published journal.
The journal publishes original research studies in the field of philology (since 2008 80% of the journal has consisted of original articles) and other articles (reviews, news, chronicle) in the field of Russian linguistics and literature and that of other Slavonic languages. Contributions are accepted in all Slavonic languages and in English. Contributions have abstracts in English. In 2008 an editorial board was established and all contributions are consistently anonymously peer-reviewed.
More...Romanica Olomucensia emphasizes the publication of original investigations that contribute new knowledge and understanding to the fields of linguistics, literature, translation and the culture of Romance-language countries. The journal also accepts short book reviews from the above-mentioned disciplines.
The main aim of the journal is to create a bridge between the long-established Central European research tradition in these fields and specialists from Romance-language countries, especially in Europe, but also in America and Africa.
All contributions are published in Romance languages with two abstracts, one in English and one in the language of the paper. Romanica Olomucensia uses double-blind reviewing.
The journal is published twice a year by the Department of Romance Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University (Czech Republic).
Romanica Olomucensia (since 2008) is a continuation of Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis: Facultas Philosophica: Philologica: Romanica Olomucensia (1973–2007), ISSN 0231-634X (1973–2006, I–XVII), ISSN 1802-8713 (2007, XVIII–XIX) ISSN: 1803-4136.
More...Historica Olomucensia, Journal for Central European History is a scholarly peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc since 2009 (previously with the subtitle The Collection of History Works). It follows the former series Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas philosophica. Historica (1960–2008). Since 2009, the journal has been on the list of peer-reviewed, non- impacted journals published in the Czech Republic.
The journal is published twice a year; since 2023, one issue is in English and the second one in Czech.
The journal Historica Olomucensia traditionally focuses particularly on the history of Central Europe from Antiquity to the present. Nevertheless, papers covering other geographical areas are also accepted. The aim of the journal is to offer a wide range of topics related to social, religious, cultural, economic and political history in the interdisciplinary context. In this respect, emphasis is placed on the reflection of current topics as well as the most recent research trends within Czech and world historiography. The journal accepts submissions in both Czech and English and is open to all academics, including students. All submissions are subject to an anonymous peer-review process. Book reviews, conference reports and other kinds of academic-related matters are also welcome.
More...Musicologica Olomucensia (ISSN 2787-9186 [Print]; ISSN 2787-9194 [Online]), published formerly as Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Musicologica (ISSN 1212-1193 [Print]), is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal founded in 1993 at Palacký University, one of the oldest Central European universities. With historically, theoretically, and analytically focused studies, the journal presents the results of fundamental scientific research conducted by members of Czech and international musicological institutions. Particular emphasis is placed on specific issues of Czech and East-Central European musical culture. The aim of the journal is to systematically research the musical culture of the region and to mediate academic dialogue between the musicological communities of the respective countries. The texts are published in English, German, Czech, and Slovak; all studies are provided with an abstract in Czech and English. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process by two independent reviewers.
Musicologica Olomucensia is an open access journal. All articles in the journal can be accessed freely online without any restrictions. Readers are free to download, print or read all published texts. The authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the understanding that the work is also licensed under a Creative Commons license (CC-BY-SA 4.0), which allows others to share the work with acknowledgement of authorship and initial publication in this journal. This licence is used by the journal since 2023. By submitting a text for publication in Musicologica Olomucensia, the authors agree to the terms of this licence. The authors are allowed to deposit versions of their work in an institutional or other repository of their choice without any restrictions. No fee is required from the authors to process the publication of the submitted text.
More...Trends in Education is a peer-review scientific and professional journal that focuses on publishing the results of research investigations, theoretical studies and professional papers, mainly in the field of technology and technology in education, but also in related areas and disciplines. Articles by Czech and foreign authors are published in English, Czech, Slovak, German and Polish. The journal was founded in 2008, is independent and has a periodicity of twice a year. Historically, the journal was established in connection with the Trends in Technical Education conference organized by Department of Technical education and Information Technology, Faculty of Education, Palacký University in Olomouc, since 2012 it has been a completely autonomous journal accepting articles independently of this conference and with an independent review process.
All articles are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Articles are reviewed by reviewers from departments other than the authors of the articles.
