Railways and European Transport Policy – Ideas, strategies, tools and their applications

Železnice a evropská dopravní politika – ideje, strategie, nástroje a jejich aplikace

Author(s): Martin Kvizda,Daniel Seidenglanz,Simona Surmařová,Vojtěch Surmař,Tomáš Paleta,Hana FITZOVÁ,Zdeněk Tomeš / Language(s): Czech

Keywords: European transport systems; railway transport; Economic policies involved in decision making in transport sector; liberalization of maritime and air transport;

This monograph deals with the issue of the organization and regulation of transport systems and, above all, the rail transport segment, which is extremely complex in terms of planning, financing and regulation. The book concludes the monographic edition “Railway Reforms” as its 6th volume; the previous volumes addressed individual aspects of rail transport: modeling demand for transport and its prediction, regulating the competitive environment on the railways, specific stories of sectoral reforms in the UK and Germany, and economic appreciation of the liberalization of railway systems in Europe. This last volume is devoted to a comprehensive analysis and assessment of transport policy in relation to the railways in the countries of the European Union. Transport policy has a significant role to play in the economic policy of the European Union, national states, regions and cities, given the scarcity of natural resources and the growing demand for transport services, with fiscal, strategic, environmental and social goals being increasingly urgent. The entire book is divided into six chapters, which form closed units, are focused on a certain aspect of transport policy on the railway and are always concluded by a partial conclusion. At the same time, however, the chapters logically follow and complement each other, forming a whole, from which it is possible to derive overall conclusions and recommendations.

Author(s): Hana Peloušková / Language(s): Czech

Keywords: German; Czech; language; constructions;

We have to look for reasons in the structural differences between German and Czech equivalent constructions. The aim of this publication is to describe in as much detail as possible the Czech counterparts of German constructions with es and to prepare a theoretical background for the formulation of linguistic recommendations for the processing of the given issue in the teaching of the German language by Czech native speakers or in the teaching of the Czech language by German native speakers. The publication is intended for all who are interested in the comparison of Czech and German language structures, for linguists, teachers and students of German as a foreign language and authors of learning and teaching materials. More generally, it is of interest for supporters of corpus linguistics and valency grammar.

Many works are not methodologically and thematically strictly limited just to the field of literature, but they overlap to related fields as the fine arts, aesthetics or translate studies are.

This mainly concerns the creation of well-understandable and visitor-attractive temporary and permanent exhibitions, specialised education programmes for schoolchildren or other groups, popularising thematic lectures and other accompanying programmes and cultural events, which at the same time observe the didactic rules of scientificity, presentiveness, interconnection of theory and practice etc. The publication offers a current insight into selected scientific disciplines involved in museum institutions and into the specifics of museum practice in the field of popularisation and mediation of their educational potential to the general public.
