Summary/Abstract: Committee for monitoring the rights protection of persons with mental health disorders in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an expert, independent, advisory body to the Federal Ministry of Health, which monitors the implementation of the protection of rights of persons with mental disorders in medical institutions of primary, secondary and tertiary health care, but also the protection of rights of persons with mental disorders placed in social care institutions. This paper analyses the legal frame for the establishment and work of the committee, its composition and organization. It also presents the results of the committee's work in the first year of its existence.
