Summary/Abstract: It is about some aspects of external assessment in Bulgarian Language Teaching and Bulgarian Literature. In 2004/2005 Institute "Open Society" has sponsored project "Creating of Strategy for External Assessment of crossing threshold for Bulgarian Language and Literature from National Standards for learners in the end of their primary education (e.g. 4th grade)". The authors of the project are university researchers from Sofia University: Faculty of Slavic Studies, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Preschool and Primary School Education. Member of this team is the author of this paper. The approbation of the strategy has made in the country - Vama city - with all of students in 4th grade. The results concerning Bulgarian Language Teaching and Literature and the analysis of these results are presented in the paper.
