Short Description

The Journal “Linguistic World” (“Orbis linguarum”) is a periodical of the Philology Faculty of the South-Western University “Neophyte Rilsky” (SWU) which gains a wide audience. Fields of research: Linguistics, Methodology of Teaching, Comparative Studies, Linguistic-Cultural Studies, Literature Criticism, Book Reviews. By its regular editions and the wide range of Philology research the Journal gradually attracted many scholars and readers. In the Editing Board prominent scientists from Germany, USA, China, Serbia, Russia, Bulgaria and Albania were included. Researchers not only from the SWU but from other Bulgarian Universities contribute for the Journal. The “Linguistic World” provides a forum for discussions of the achievements of young researchers; the best of the student presentations on the National Student Conference which is held on 11th of May - the celebration day of the Saints Cyril and Metodij – are published. Prominent foreign researchers regularly publish in the Journal. The Editing Board considers proposals for reviewing scientific books.
